“Wow,” softly gasped the lithe, athletically framed youth. “That is a s**t ton of siblings. I’m an only child so I have no idea what that must be like.” River stated all too wide eyed and awestruck by the number of brothers the older woman had, no matter how often she asked for a little brother or sister her parents simply refused to have more offspring. Then again, maybe they had and never told her. Now that would be a kick in the pants. She always suspected that she had a sibling that her parents weren’t telling her about, after all why would they send her to live with her grandparents and wouldn’tto let her visit? Conspiracy, oh yeah. Certainly.
Sitting up a bit straighter in her chair as the food was brought to the table the longhaired dancer brought her hand up towards her mouth and idly stroked her piercing. “The trainer bug huh? Well, I always wanted to be a trainer. But I had to uphold the family name, it wasn’t until I turned into the awesome rebel hipster that I am now that I decided to hell with all of them and decide to do my own thing.” Scooping up some of the savory foods from the platter River set to cutting them into small pieces before laying them on the table within wing reach of her pudgy little fuzz ball. “Wait--- you were divorced? As in you used to be married, like to a dude? Gross.”

She laughed a little at the awestruck look River had when she spoke of her brothers. Shrugging it off, she smiled. "I'm the youngest." She explained, amused. "The majority of my brothers were out of the house by the time I came around." She smirked quietly. "So I grew up with just me, Jimmy, Jensen and Jason, and my Dad. Once I was older and could travel on my own, that's when I started hanging out with the older brothers." She grinned, sipping her hot cocoa as she remembered her first trip to visit Martin, back when he had still been a Gym Leader.
Jenk nodded a bit, reaching out to grab a piece of food and biting into it. She swallowed before River realized what she'd said before, saving her from choking on it in laughter. She nodded, grinning a bit. "We met when I was travelling, we got married... And he cheated." She shrugged. "Story of my life. So I got divorced. That's part of the reason I came here; fresh new start." She smirked a bit. "And it's good you realized that your parents can ******** off." She said bluntly. "I was lucky, no matter what I did Daddy was proud. Mom..." She grimaced. "I stopped giving a damn what she thought."
