Mrs.Orange I know I've shown this picture before but anyway, it goes with the topic stare you can tell that's Maynard because he's bald... i drew the same exact picture(well.. not exact but.. very simular)... kinda creepy... i 've always loved how strong the visuals are that i get when i listen to that song.. and the whole answering machine... i wanna make a movie--

haha don't worry, i think we were all a bit confused when we first heard it haha. i think that was the point. ^_^
i wonder if the new album will have an obscure hidden track....i mean...if they follow the patter so far, i cant think of an album without a hidden track
though i guess Lateralus didnt....though Fiap De Oiad was pretty obscure...
hhrrmmmmmm

The preacher speak at the begining is Bill Hicks, the comedian, who was good friends with Maynard before he died. Bill is also the spoken word on drugs at the start of 3rd eye.
The industrial sounds in the the song are made by the members of tool and rollins band smashing grand pianos with sledge hammers and sampling it. The weird sceam is maynard's siamese cat.
The poem that comes after the cricket noise was left on one of their answering machines by their landlord.
Awesome song, one of my faves. Although my friend has a really bad trip on drugs while listening to it. And the rest of us like stoned losers didn't realise until it had gotten quite bad for her.

I felt like I was making things up when I thought of a shotgun during that. I kind of imagined some disgruntled farmer opening fire on carrots
