"Wait, wait, waaait!" Roch said. "I haven't even gotten the standing down yet, man!!" he complained, looking around. "How you do that?" he demanded in a low voice, ashamed that he was admitting he wanted to know. But he diiiiid, because the stupidity of the moment was taking over. "You just squat or something?"

"Yeah, crouch and put your leg muscles into it. Like kicking someone in the face, just with a little more finesse," Nahm said, eyes glinting with amusement, and demonstrated the move again.
At that comment, the last couple of onlookers who had been hanging around decided that maybe it was in their best interest to be elsewhere, and drifted nonchalantly away.

"Now FINALLY someone is explaining how to dance in a way I can understand!" Roch proclaimed, doing as he was told--
At least until he saw the flock of gnomes behind them trying to imitate them and looking like idiots in miniature. "Ooookay, enough ballet for today," he said, highly disturbed by that image. "Wanna go get somethin' to eat?"

"The skills carry over," Nahm smirked. "Less actual assault and more classical music involved, but oddly similar on a lot of points."
The gnomes were commendably enthusiastic, but disturbing. "Carry on," Nahm told them. "Keep practicing and you might be ready to try out by the time the play's over." He retrieved his eyePod and outer robe, pulling the robe back on. "I'm always ready to go get something to eat."

Roch was choking on laughter as they started for the cafeteria. "Jack, man, the looks on--on EVERYONE'S faces!" he said, bursting into laughter. "I can see why you did it now! That was hysterical!"
He was laughing so hard that tears were threatening. "Next time let's wear those frilly skirt thing like you had on and do it real serious like!" he said. "Oh jack, I can already picture it!"

"You have no idea how hard it was to keep from laughing my a** off right there on stage," Nahm admitted, and grinned from ear to ear (quite literally, as it happened). "We should totally offer ballet lessons for boils. Then we can get other guys to do it, and mock them mercilessly. What do you think?" He slanted a wicked, conspiratorial look at Roch. He'd been sure he liked the guy already, and this just cemented it.

"For not doin' it right!" Roch said, dying. "Oh, man, that'd be so wrong! But hell, with the play comin' up, NOW IS THE TIME, man! We could draw up posters and everything!"
Oh, this was such a dangerous combination. It really, really was.

"This is the best idea ever." Nahm giggled. "Ahm will help. Posters and everything. Ballet club." He broke down in helpless laughter, unable to restrain himself any longer. There was going to be trouble, and it was going to be so. much. fun.

"We need--" Roch said, his mind racing. "We need bigger speakers for the stereo, and more of those frilly skirts, and some sort of bar for people to hold onto!" he told the grue as he headed for the food, ordering a meal or two without thinking. "Dude, I know! Let's boogle it! We'll find all the serious videos about it, to make it look official!"

"Hell yeah," Nahm agreed, snickering happily. "I bet Junko would help us with the tutus. You know where to get speakers? We'll take care of the equipment," he decided, and almost absentmindedly picked out a tray-full of food.

Roch thought about it. "We've got amps, but I don't think we have any heavy duty speakers," he admitted. "But," he said quickly. "I bet I know who I can talk into getting me some... possibly." Now what dirt did he have on his granddad that could pull this off?
Hmmm... well... if Roch had a three inch thick file, he thought slowly, he could barely imagine how thick the old man's was. He SERIOUSLY doubted that gambling hall was on the up and up...

"Heavy-duty speakers, huh." Nahm considered the problem carefully. "I think I know who to hit up." He pulled out his phone and tapped out a rapid text to his brother. "Pretty sure we can do that. One of the cousins is a roadie for a metal band, and he's got discounts if he can't just lift 'em."
He smirked conspiratorially at Roch. "Pain in the a** dealing with all the cousins - until ya need something. Then it's jackin' priceless."

"Ahh, and there goes my first opportunity to blackmail the old man," Roch complained as he got his food and headed for the nearest table. He started eating like a starving man, which, actually he was. He hadn't eaten for HOURS.

"The old man, huh?" Nahm had likewise gotten a full meal; he'd eaten fairly recently (as such things went), but then he'd exerted himself in ballet dancing, and his hunger had revived itself appropriately. "You got family up the a** too, huh?"

"Nope, just a pair of asses," Roch said, finishing off his food and leaning back in his chair. "Hell, I'll go over there anyway, he never DID give me back my jackin' fish." He stood and started for the door.
