Olivia felt her eyes narrowing, her face becoming heated. Oh he had done it now. No matter how nice to him she was, no matter how many rude insults she ignored, NO ONE called her a lard a**. At those words, the mare felt something in her snap. She had tried desperately to hold onto her sanity, to keep her grip on reality, but it was a slippery rope and she lost it.
"How dare you." She barely whispered as she struggled to regain control. "How DARE you!." She then practically screamed. "I have been nothing but nice to you. No matter what you have said, no matter how arrogant you have been or how rude. I have shown you nothing but kindness." She spit the words out in anger, her voice coming out in something of a roar. "Whatever you might think you are little compared to me and there was nothing malicious in the thought or the words. Perhaps you ought to be the one to think more carefully before you speak. If you weren't so self absorbed you might have noticed the world around you and those of us in it. Go back to where ever it is that you came from. We don't need the likes you hanging about soiling our lives."
The mare struggled with herself once more. What was she saying? How could she treat anyone with such disrespect? No matter what they had done to her? She shook her head, desperately trying to get a grip on reality once more, but once again she failed. Her darker side taking over, she planted her feet and lowered her head. Pawing at the dirt and grass beneath her hooves, the mare let out a snort and prepared to charge.

He saw it. That very moment when the mares eyes went fro cheerful to dangerously thin slits. He knew that look, and knew it well. It was the moment when pleasant faces snapped and became ragging beasts. He had done this to her, and while part of him was proud; it took quite a bit to break an overly cheerful type like her, a much larger part of Mornhavon was scared shitless. She was large compared to her, and certainly she could plow him over if he wanted to. He tried to remain where he was, tried even harder to prevent his legs from trembling in fear. It would be a losing battle and if he wasn't careful those words he had uttered only moments before would be his last.
Her words cut into him like hot knifes. He could practically feel the wave of hatred coming off of her. Never in his life had he been more afraid than in this very moment. Even facing a hunting two-legger with a spear pointed right at him was nothing compared to this. Mornhavon tried hard not to flinch at her words and anger. When she had finished yelling at him...he had started to shake. Not much, but certainly he could feel it. Mornhavon swallowed hard, he went to say something but his mouth went was completely dry, his heart pounded in his chest to the point it might explode. Then she lowered her head, it was in a threatening manner. He could apologize, even if it went against everything he stood for, but he doubted that would change the mares view of him.
So it was in a moment of self preservation that Mornhavon turned around and ran as fast as he could. He knew she could probably outrun him if she wished, but he could hope that her mind would clear and that she would let him live. He ran hard and fast, not daring to look over his shoulder to see if she was coming after him. If he could just get to a safe spot then he could hide away and wait for this storm to pass. These lands, they were so much different than his old home and honestly now more than ever he wanted to go back home. And perhaps he would...if he survived today.

Olivia, no longer the sweet mare that she was, watched the little stallion run from her in fear. A grin spread over her face as she counted the seconds. One... Two... Three... A few more ticked by and then, ...Ten! Satisfied that she had given the stallion enough time to get a decent head start, the mare took after him at a full gallop. She supposed that she could have started after him at any time, but a chance wasn't any fun if it was over too quickly.
While the mare ran, she fought with herself, still trying to regain control. This wasn't like her, it wasn't who she was, or who she wanted to be. She was a sweet mare, who wouldn't hurt anyone for any reason. Yet here she'd gone and snapped again. Just as she was about to catch up to the stallion, she regained control, regained her grip on reality. Digging her hooves in, she came to a sliding stop and stood for a few moments. Shutting her eyes, she was unable to see the mini any longer and it helped calm her down some. Why did he have to run? Granted she could understand why he did, but watching him run away in fear had only fueled her dark side.
Olivia forced her mind to become clear and tranquil. After a few moments, when she was sure that she had regained all control. She re-opened her eyes.

Though he didn't dare to look back Mornhavon knew the mare was hot on his heals. He could feel her hot breath upon his back, the sound of her hoof beats were so close that a single misstep or fault in her gait and he would be a goner. Hell he wasn't even sure he would make it another ten feet before she had him crushed under those massive hooves of hers. This new land was crazy. Screw what the elders said, it was no more safer than their old home. He was going back damn it, even if it meant a sure death by the two-leggers, he was leaving this terrible land and going home.
Then he heard a sound. A wonderful sound. The sound that meant his life would be saved...or so he hoped. The mare was stopping. He could hear her hooves sliding against the ground. She had given up the chase for one reason or another. Still he didn't breath of a sigh of relief just yet. Mornhavon kept running, making sure that it wasn't just a rouse to get him to stop. When he chanced a glance over shoulder he confirmed that yes she had indeed stopped. Even so he wasn't going to. With a snort Mornhavon headed for the trees, once there he would stop, catch his breath and get the hell out of here for good.

With her eyes open, the mare could see that she was now alone. Not too far off in the distance, she could still see the usdia running for his life. Let him run. She had been nothing but kind to him from the start. She hadn't meant to snap, oh no, she never meant to snap. However, he had asked for it. There was only so much that Olivia could take before these sort of incidents occurred. Heaving a sigh filled both with regret and relief, the mare turned away from the stallion. Perhaps it was better this way. Maybe now the little stallion might think before he spoke again. She was really just relieved that she had been able to stop herself in time, before she did anything that she would really regret.
Satisfied that there was no more that she could do here, the mare began to make her way home. Perhaps in the future she could better learn to keep her temper.
