Feliks tried to file this information into his head, "It might take a little bit to get everyone memorized, would probably help when I can meet them all so I can put faces to names."

He gave a small nod and then listened to the story of how Metis and Iris were the first ones woken. Then Parthenope... ahh that one would be a bit easier since apparently Parthenope was also a guy. "Well.. that makes him a bit easier to Identify then." He pondered, "I sorta feel better that I wasn't the first one to be mistaken either."

Of course his name sake ended up being a bit more girly than the rest of them he thought, but he could live with that. Victoria was the goddess of victory after all, right?

With a nod, she continued on with the epic tale of the Asteroids.

"Then we managed t'find Irene and Hygiea close t'the same time. Irene's kinda young, but Hygiea is ridiculously young. After that, it was decided I was apparently gonna be captain..." With her only good shoulder, she attempted a shrug. "I guess nobody wanted t'be in charge... whatever..."

Her eyes rolled back slightly as she tried to remember how everything else had gone down. "I think Egeria was found next... at a summer camp if I remember correctly? She's only a little older than Hygiea. Then Eunomia was found next." Eunomia's awakening had been a b*tch, but this guy didn't need to know that.

For a moment her eyes drifted to the dog, then they went back to her guest. "Then we found you. It took 'bout 2 years fer all of that t'happen... but at least th'cat got what she wanted."

Aque seemed to finally calm down, now laying down at Ellie's feet. Which meant that the girl had her hand free again. With that, she picked up her index cards again. "I need these back, but if ya want, take a look at'em..." With that, she reached her hand out to share the cards she had written up for each of them.

"So there's... two guys and six girls?" He asked to make sure he had this right. Something was nagging at him though about the fact she'd mentioned young. "How... young is young? You don't mean like little kids do you?"

He was reading the cards, noticing that his was blank. Iris, Metis and Parthenope were the main ones he looked at first. He noticed that Metis' read Needs continued work on increased offense. Iris and Parthanope sounded like heavy hitters out of these three. "Why does Metis need to work on offense?"

He asked curiously holding up her card, "Is there any obstacle you can think of?" He was already thinking of ways he could help, though he needed to know a little more about the person. It wouldn't do if some idea he had wasn't possible because of some reason or another.

"As far as Parthenope keeping his cool and your need to work with the team better," He'd glanced at those and had only picked up those two things, "I think I know some team exercises that help build trust, we can do those. It might seem silly but it does help, it might be of more use to you than Parthenope. However, it will still help his attitude some to realize there's an amount of trust that goes into this and he can't let others down because of a temper. Also if you're interested I might can help the thinking bit with a few games of battleship or chess. As dumb as it sounds they're very thinker oriented and helps with thinking ahead."

"Yeah... about that..." There was just something about the way Ellie said that which made it obvious that Feliks got it wrong. There were definitely kids on the team. "Don't even try t'convince ********* that they shouldn't be there... she already gets enough sh*t from other senshi who don't understand this crap."

The mention of Metis reminded Ellie of the fact she forgot to mention something earlier. "Oh yeah... she's blind. Well... it's weird... she's usually blind, but she's got some sort of weird vision dealio when she's a senshi." There was a pause before she chimed in with something that wasn't really related. "Oh sh*t... I need t'tell her 'bout Aque! Raja'll probably be all over that sh*t!"

Hearing his new name, the dog's head perked up slightly, but when he wasn't showered in adoration, he set his head back down against the ground with a pig-like grunt.

"T'be honest... there aren't many people on th'team that are very good with offensive though. Speaking of that... I'm gonna need ya t'go against Parth at some point so I can see what yer able t'do."

However, the moment that Feliks began to go off about team activities, Ellie made a face. "Um... how 'bout we don't and say we did..." She didn't sound very impressed with the ideas of those activities.

He paused, "Why would I convince her to have them not be there? I was going to ask why the kids though?" He shrugged, "Then again kids can be tough little sprites when they need to be. You ought to see them on the half pipe when they sneak on it."

He paused when Ellie mentioned Metis was blind. Well that probably created a bit of a problem. "Hm... I see." Not that the handicapped mattered much when the girl was powered but it'd make things interesting otherwise.

He paused, "I'm going to guess Raja's her dog?"

He watched as Aque perked up at his name and grunted when he wasn't given attention.

"Ahah..... I'm going to tell you now, I don't know much about actual fighting. So he'll probably kick my butt." Feliks rubbed the back of his head for a moment looking a bit sheepish. He could probably learn though.

His eyes however, narrowed at Ellie. "I thought you wanted to be better at thinking before you do something stupid." He held up the card with her name on it purposely. "Part of that is trust in your team and the other part is working that brain of yours. It's not all about beating up the high school fresh meat 'cause you can ya'know? You think they're stupid but there's a reason companies do trust exercises for their employees." He didn't play mmo's for nothing, he knew how team work, worked.

He wasn't really sure what sort of things the senshi did but he assumed this was the 'terrorist gang wars' he'd heard about on the news. So in a way it made sense to him that they'd have to fight other things and that youma was probably only the start.

"I still wanna see what yer able t'do..." she stated when he tried to weasel his way out of the whole idea of sparring with Parthenope.

The distance between the two was enough that it was hard to make out which card he was trying to wave at her, but given the current subject, Ellie did have a hunch as to what he was waving around. "Trust exercises are the lazy way t'earn trust. I lose and I earn my trust th'old fashioned way. I... trust'em." There was a slight hesitation as some of the words Lydia had told her came to mind again, reminding her in the past she had not trusted everyone as she had just stated. "So, we ain't doin' trust exercises."

There was hardly a pause when she changed the subject, signaling that the other subject was 100% closed in her mind. "Do ya know what th'rules are fer th'team? Or did th'cat not explain those either?"

Feliks nodded, "Well yeah I warning you so that you'd be ready to laugh." He gave a small smile, figuring if he lost he might feel a little bit better even if he was annoyed that someone got some chuckles out of it.

He paused when she said what she did. "I was thinking it was more for them..." But that was about all he could say because she seemed to have moved on... oh well he could try to finagle some exercises in later, even if it had to be on the sly end.

"Hm.. maybe listing powers would help with figuring out how to best utilize team strength and what everyone specializes in." He was still looking at the cards and managed to slip in some other suggestions before she went and asked him about rules. "Wait there's rules?" He asked looking up curiously. She didn't seem like the type to carry about a rule book, so it was a bit surprising to him they'd already have rules.

The boy brought up something that Ellie had actually debated doing herself. However, she had decided against it for one reason. "Ain't listin' powers on those cards since I don't know who is gonna be seein' them. What happens if one of the kids show these to their parents or jus' leave it layin' 'round? Generalized stuff ain't gonna catch as much attention as specific sh*t like powers."

Having given her two cents, she added a simple "Sorry, dude... yer gonna have t'learn powers th'old fashioned way." With that, she held out her good hand with her pinky finger extended.

"Rule one... don't patrol by yerself."

Her ring finger was extended next.

"Rule two... if ya encounter any sort of danger while not powered up... don't engage until ya call fer backup."

Finally her middle finger was extended. With this final rule, the girl's voice grew extremely serious, signifying that this was a rule she would not tolerate being broken.

"Rule three... we don't kill anythin' but youma. There are assholes that go 'round by the name of the Negaverse. People. We do not kill them."

With the three fingers extended, she leaned forward to look Feliks in the eyes. "Ya understand?"

"You could list what type of power though. Then even if the kids showed someone they could think it was a video game." He offered as a suggestion. "Like if you're support, melee, offense, defense, if you specialize in long range or short range...." He paused, "Being a 'nerd' sometimes pays off." He gave a silly grin, "Or have a master copy with that on it."

Waiting until the rules were all given and everything was accounted for Feliks nodded, "Yes I understand. I'm not in the mood to kill anyone anyways if I can help it. Even if there's the occasional moment where I'd like to strangle a customer occasionally it's against my ideals to actually kill a person." He assured her.

Then he also added, "Makes more sense with the buddy system to pair us up with who does what best.... like you wouldn't always want your sniper with an assassin, while that's okay sometimes it works to your advantage to also make sure you pair up the sniper or assassin with a heavy hitter like a paladin or knight." He was using classes from the mass multi-player game he played, so he hoped in a way it made sense. "You could give them code classes too, at least to make sure someone thought it was a video game?"

He realized he wasn't helping the 'not a nerd' comment every moment that passed.

"Really?"

If it was possible for the blonde to cross her arms, she would have been. "Really?!"

The dog's head perked up pretty quickly at the agitated tone that his new owner was taking. It didn't sound good, so he quickly seemed to grow quite tense.

"First off, yer a f*ckin' nerd. Don't try t'justify it... yer a f*ckin' nerd! Secondly, jus' f*ckin' stop tryin' t'improve this sh*t! This ain't a video game... it ain't anything like what yer thinkin' it is... so jus' stop pretendin' that it is!" She let out a heavy groan, to which Aque sat himself up and began to bark a bit.

"I wanna see how nonchalant ya are when an officer of the Negaverse has yer life literally in their hands! We might not kill, but they do!" She wasn't exactly the sort to fess up about the real reason why that rule existed though.

In an annoyed tone, she then reached out. "Now gimme back my damn cards... you'll get yer own copy later!"

Feliks stared at her before offering the cards back and getting up. He'd obviously pissed off Ellie, and well it was probably best for him to excuse himself before he enraged the hurt girl further.

"Right. Well, obviously I've been mistaken. I'll try to keep my nerdisms to myself." He muttered as he stood up looking darkly at her, obviously she didn't understand the importance of having a strategic plan. If you didn't have a tank protecting the squishies well then you were as good as dead anyways.

He rolled his shoulders, "I'm not worried about any flash cards. I obviously don't need them if my suggestions are just stupid nerd moments to you and hold no water." There was a pause, "I'm sorry I need to get going, Ma'll be expecting me early to help with dinner." He was hoping to make his way to the door without being stopped.

"Yeah... probably best ya get goin'..." the blonde seemed to repeat before standing herself up. With her cards at hand, she began to make her way to the door. She might have been injured, but that didn't mean she couldn't walk some dude to the door. Her dog also got up and seemed to trail behind the two of them, making certain they were able to make it to the door okay.

Once at the door, the girl leaned back so her cast was pressed up against the wall, as if making herself comfortable while standing there. "Yer gettin' yer own set 'a cards so ya can do what ya want with them afterwards. Add whatever th'hell notes ya want... I just ain't makin' it default, got it?" She might have been blonde, but she wasn't the stereotypical idiot one. She could tell when someone was being passive aggressive.

There was an awkward pause before she couldn't help but curiously ask "...I take it yer mom cooks?"

Feliks nodded as he noticed she was walking him to the door. Well apparently she did have some manners. He shrugged softly and nodded, "I got it." He said in a tone that didn't sound like he was terribly convinced of this as far as adding notes that he wanted because surely she'd be the type to take them back up at points and go no your wrong.

He had hated teachers like that, and this was starting to feel the same way they had.

He stopped when she asked the question. "Well... mostly." He sounded unsure if he should really be telling her this. "There's uh... so many of us that she needs help getting it all done so... I guess you could say I cook too." He rolled his shoulders. "I mean if you call making a pot of stew or soup cooking."
PostPosted: Tue Jan 03, 2012 10:38 pm

Aque sat his rump down between the two at the doorway, glancing up to Feliks curiously. How come this person was leaving now? Did he not love the Aque? The dog panted quite a bit as his mismatched eyes seemed to almost demand that Feliks stay forever.

Ellie definitely preferred the idea of him not staying that long. "...yeah... that's cookin'..." Her own Mom was just a failure with cooking. Way too many meals were purchased at fast food restaurants or prepared ahead of time meant for the microwave or oven. The microwave and oven foods were damned to be burnt, thanks to Mom's magical ability to mess up any sort of food. Somehow she knew the busy office woman would not be able to handle making stew.

Pushing herself up off the wall, she reached out with her right hand and opened up the door. "I ain't gonna keep ya from yer appointment in the kitchen..." There was a half smirk upon her face as she said such, almost like she was trying to make a dig at him.

Feliks' eyes had glanced down as Aque seemed to demand he stay. Though, he wasn't about to stay and he wasn't sure about giving the dog a pat on the head either, so he practically stayed motionless.

"I thought it was." He said softly with a small shrug and perhaps an unsure frown. Something else for Ellie to nitpick.

He noticed the half smirk. Though he didn't pay attention to that as he started to step out the door. "If you ever want to you're free to come over and have supper with us. We make enough for an army anyways."

With that he was out the door and heading back towards home. He'd have to figure out what to fix when he got there.
