Eva listened patiently as he told her his story, even though she had to pause and frown quizzically at certain parts. For example...Roberta? Her first assumption--probably because of the similarities in their names--was that Roberta was...uh, Robert's hidden female side, but that couldn't be right. The only logical person it could be, based off who they had been talking about, would have been Reine.
Hmmm. She would have to ask after.
Until then, she listened to his story in silence, the frown on her face deepening at certain points and her expression becoming more sympathetic at others. When he was finished, she leaned back in the chair and crossed her arms over her chest, silent. Finally, with a little sigh, she leaned forward and gave him a pat on the knee.
"I'll help you," she promised, "You've made mistakes, but you've also changed. You're a good guy." The familiar grin spread over Eva's face again as she drew back.
"By the way...Roberta?"

Robert sighed in relief at Eva's assessment, giving her a gentle, genuine smile. Before he could thank her, however, her question made his smile turn mischievous.
"That's her real name. Reine likes changing things around, you know. New beginnings, all that. She renamed herself - but please, don't tell her you know. She would kill me if she knew I told you her real name. Just forget you ever heard it, we cool? Her name is Reine now."
He took a deep sigh, and his smile disappeared. "I'll get used to it."

Oh! That made so much more sense! She took note not to mention the name again, though. Eva would just conveniently...forget it. Somehow. "Thanks for the clarification," She grinned, "I had been beginning to wonder if you had a secret hobby of some kind, Robert." Which would have been disturbing, to say the least. It would be one thing if Robert was one of those feminine and petite guys, but he was neither of these things, and--
--why the hell was she thinking about this?
"Coming here means that you have to get used to a lot of things," She pointed out, rising from the chair and moving so that she could clap him on the shoulder, "It'll take time, just like it took me some time to get used to eating the gloopy cafeteria food." Bad example? It didn't matter--it got the point across.
"But anyways! If that's all you wanted to talk about, I'd better get going! I'll try to talk about Reine the next time I see her."

Robert didn't get it.
"That's it, yeah. I really appreciate it, Evie. You're a real sweetheart. I'll make this up to you somehow."
He patted the hand that she used on his shoulder, and gave her a wink. "Thanks for taking the time to talk to me."

"Don't mention it. I'll see what I can do." Hopefully with a subtle push, she would manage to encourage Reine to talk to Robert (in a way that didn't involves fists flying or screaming).
She head back to the door, poking her head out into the hallway and taking a quick glance--all clear!--before she turned back to grin at Robert. "See you 'round!" And then she slipped out, heading off to...wherever it was she had been intending on going before.
