Erebos' paws were stopped when the Rattata went underground once more, and he backed away from the holes lest he unintentionally trip in one.
Suddenly, the sight of quickly sinking sand caught his eyes, and he dodged the leaping Rattata before it could hit him again, trying for another Poison Jab.

Gangrel's attention shot to the side where the lucario was quickly closing in. Twisting mid-air, he kicked off Erebos' forearm, diving back into the sand, tunneling around a bit before leaping at him from behind.

Erebos growled at the Rattata's show of dexterity, a feat possibly only through his smaller stature. When the Rattata next struck him, Erebos quickly followed with Poison Jab, aiming for the rat Pokémon's side as it was still in mid-air, to hopefully raise his own accuracy.

((This reminds me of trying to freeze Maya, the Emolga. D: ))
Catching the arm of Erebos, Gangrel swung himself around before diving back into the sand, emerging again a second later.

((Oh my god, that Emolga. XD I had a few battles with her, too. She's really got a knack for dodging. emotion_donotwant ))
When the Rattata repeated his acrobatic stunts, Erebos' arm was pushed aside, and he was forced to drop his attack in favor of landing on his paws. However, it also allowed him to once again spot the Rattata's attack before it hit, and he swerved to avoid another hit.
Realizing now that poison wouldn't act quickly enough, he attempted to paralyze the other with a Force Palm instead.

Gangrel flew into the force exerted by the Lucario's palms, but merely used the power to propel himself back into the sand. Tunneling around, he waited for his moment to strike. That moment was now.

((Pfff. XD That's how I'll always see him now. He just needs a more disheveled head-fur edit and a huge smile as edits and all will be well. emotion_awesome But you should seriously try to get him some edits like that.))
Erebos was struck again, but although it caused him to step back and nearly trip, he managed to hold his ground. As soon as he had settled, he lunged forward, attempting another Force Palm, trying to get a hit in quicker than the Rattata could use it to his advantage.

((Totally gonna try for that, fits my idea of him spot on.))
Gangrel tried to dodge, but was hit by the force palm. Electricity shot through his body, and Gangrel slowed immensely. He landed on the sand near the water, and slapped some of it at Erebos.

And LOL so sad. XD Especially since Ere didn't get any damage at all in this time LOLOLOL.))
Although Erebos' attack finally hit, the success was short-lived. Gangrel immediately retaliated with a mud slap that proved fatal to the Lucario and he crumpled to the ground, his snarl dying on his lips.

Gangrel gloated openly as the lucario fell, but once it was unconscious, he ran over and patted Erebos on the head before running back to Walpurgis. It had been a fun match.
