Due in part to her not making to the bathroom on time (it sounded like she'd had an accident when she said that!), Chuppi had missed much of the information given by the Horseman. She had not gone on the field trip so she knew nothing of the Hunters and the dangers, nor did she know anything about the truth over Red's death. Gossip could have always been heard, yes, but for once the Chupacabra wanted to hear the news directly from someone who knew, someone who had been there and could tell the truth.

That was the reason, then, that she was now in the gym and watching all the students gather. Many of them had gone to the Haunted House (she knew only by the tally she had done at the healing tents), but most of them didn't want to talk about it. Would the figure cloaked in red speak up, as they seemed to be wanting to? They'd approached and whispered something, an action that sent Chuppi scampering for the nearest person she knew. That poor soul happened to be Mort, and the monster got as close to him as she could as quickly as she could. "Mort." Her voice was soft and troubled as her large red eyes stared down the figure, wondering what he was going to do.

People in cloaks randomly talking at students? Never a good thing.

- --------------

As for the Marrowstripe? She just happened to be wandering past the area and noticed several people turning in. She'd never been to the gym before, as evidence by lack of her scent or copious amounts of sand. . . .though it didn't look like she'd be able to fully get inside the room anyway. There were a number of undead littered about the area and their scent seemed to drive her back, forcing her to maintain a distance.

Thankfully she was going to be able to hear everything just fine from where she was or else she was going to be sad and have to miss everything anyway. They way this new figure spoke should have sounded familiar to the monster, if only she could remember such things, but instead this was all new and so she viewed everything with the same eagerness a child would a film.

"Mot, aniki," She greeted softly when both boils stepped up beside her. Looking towards Shun, Xiu gave a little shrug, her gaze flickering between her friends and the figure in red. "Who knows. Whatever the case, it wasn't a good idea to wear that cloa--"

She was quick to cut herself off when the figure spoke, her eyes widening slightly as they--he?--took a step towards them. And at the mention of an unfortunate incident...

The baku's frown immediately deepened, and despite her prior thoughts about keeping quiet, she couldn't help but direct questions towards the stranger. "I--what are you talking about? Waiting for something?" Who was under that cloak?

She had been following Shun, when was she not following Shun? The lycan was like his shadow always there it seemed. When something caught his attention she looked up to see lots of people gathered by the gym but what stood out was the figure in the red cloak. For a moment, a brief moment, she thought it might be their Professor. Could Red really be alive? The reality kicked in though and that thought quickly faded. Maybe it was someone new fairly new but...that was one of the cloaks from the ceremony wasn't it?

Cautiously Mitsu followed Shun toward Xiu and Mot looking up for a moment to greet the two. "Hi, Xiu, Big Brother." Her eyes went back to the stranger though hearing Shun's question. "Maybe its just a new student..." Though the figure started to approach them and spoke. That voice sounded....familiar in a way but Mitsu couldn't place it. Her ears folded back a bit as she eyed this new comer. He, at least she assumed it was a he by the voice, seemed odd. She didn't want to answer the cloaked figure's question not really knowing what to say. Instead she asked on of her own. "So are you new?"

Lost deep within his thoughts, Thackery walked mechanically through the halls, each slow, careless step taking him closer to his uncertain destination. After gaining a heavy understanding (mostly) of just what was going on around here, of having nightmares about enemies who were far scarier than the worst demons of his homeland, it was hard to convince himself to not dwell on it. To move forward. He had been fine with nestling under his comforter with a good book and an even better bone, but Princess Cinders - in all of his newly-triple-tailed splendor - had insisted on a walk. Denying him meant sacrificing at least five hours of sleep, so the cerberus had given in.

The melodramatic pet had only made it a few feet before scrabbling back towards the boy's dorm. He replaced the pet with a sigh, but resolved to just get out and take a walk for himself instead. He was already dressed, ready, and out of bed, after all.

With his eyes fixated upon the eyephone in his hand, he almost missed the gathering. It was only when he nearly bumped into another student that he glanced up, looked back down, and quickly did a double-take. Was he seeing what he thought he was seeing? Were the rumors and stories untrue? He moved to join the gathering of students, shifting to try to get a better look.

As the figure stepped forward, Mort stepped back, behind Mot, Xiu, and Shun. A safe distance was always preferred, as well as older students providing cover; cowardly as that sounded, his efforts in the Haunted House had definitely shown Mort that he was no fighter. This figure's voice was not familiar to him personally, but the tone was definitely not a ghoul's . . .

Then without warning someone was clinging to him, and the voice that said his name definitely was. "Mrr? Ohai, Chuppi," he mumbled, as if almost afraid to talk with the unknown cloaked figure there. "I-Is okay so far . . ."

He agreed with Xiu about the cloak. Was someone joining them, though? Or was someone deciding to crash their movement? Was it a spy? Oh Jack, what if it was a Hunter?! "A-Anyone recognize voice?" Mort asked anyone within earshot.

Disappointed to hear a masculine voice coming from the cloak Bul hung his head and waitd with crossed arms. He was really just done with all of these coded situations. All he wanted was to do his part with as little puzzle solving as possible.

Bummer.

As interesting as Zar was, Pepin saw another black and white student she had actually met and cheerily floated over towards her. "Miss Mitsuuu."

"New student? Hmm.." Pepin turned her head curiously. She had been working on trying to get access to new students for interviewing for Paranormal Post.

Mandy, unlike a number of loiters, was actually at the gym to use the gym, having just finished practicing and heading towards the washrooms to get rid of some of the sweat and grime before heading back to her dorm. Or at least that had been the plan before she turned into the hallway and spotted a red cloak amongst a cluster of students. She stalled debating seeing what was going on or moving on.

A secret perhaps about a certain unfourtante incident?

Wowsaywhat. That settled it, she was seeing what was going on if it had to do with that. She approached the group, loitering near the edge.

Glancing back Mitsu spotted Mort as he took a step behind the group. She shook her head at his question though there was a vague familiarity when she heard the voice. Mitsu just wished she knew where she had heard it before. It was haunting in a way, it had been resent. Was it a Professor from class perhaps?

She'd been returning to the place where they'd come back from the trip. Now a knob, the ghoul had undergone trials this past school year and this was... the last place on her list of others to visit. A reminder of the things she'd accomplished, overcome and ... experienced. The learning she'd done here was just unbearably more than she could've ever found out at home.

The very essence of Halloween as a whole had been under a threat of some sort and she'd been there to see it with her own eyes. Did her kin know anything about these things in the human world?

Levi wasn't the only one it seemed. Others were in the gym as well. Along with one figure that perked her interest when the words "unfortunate incident" were spoken, just loud enough for her furry white ears to hear. The tatzel didn't move in closer to the red cloaked figure - It's a cloak like we used for that - but kept a watchful eye on it from her place behind her peers.

It was suspicious, really, at this point. They'd all removed their cloaks from that event, right? This wasn't another time of mourning that she'd missed. The other students seemed to be just as inquisitive so there was definitely a lack of communication if that was the issue here. Even if it was- why was only this one individuals in a cloak? Last time it was more obvious who the individuals were in the garments even though no names were mentioned. This figure didn't mention a name either ... but... something just seemed to be wrong here.

Shun's gaze flicked from Mitsu, to Xiu, to Mot, and then to the cloaked figure. That voice. He heard this voice somewhere before... Furrowing his brow, he stepped out in front of the wolf girl, staring at the stranger with distrust. They might have mentioned a secret about a particular incident, but he did not trust them too much.

Glancing behind towards the zombie boy, the Reaper hesitated.

"I swear I've heard it before."

The more he thought of it, the worse of a feeling he was getting.

----

Jericho stared at the figure as they spoke. Where had he heard this voice before? Blinking, he cautiously took a step forward.

"We're all allies here. You don't need to hide your face to tell us this secret," he said, though warily. He wanted to know who it was. The voice wasn't ringing too many bells. The dragon couldn't quite put a name or face to it.

Israfel had come to the Gym to look for someone willing to spar; after beating on poor Demi, (he made a mental note to bake the boil some spookies for the event), the siren figured he needed to fight those his own age group. Or level. Something like that.

As he came in there was someone in a red cloak, which was promptly ignored. He thought it was just going to get them in trouble, those cloaks. And the siren wanted to be as far from trouble as possible. But a certain red dragon was interesting, and most certainly not trouble, (at least to Israfel he wasn't). "Jericho, Jericho, Hi hi hi." The siren flew over to him, smiling. Anytime he could show off his flying skills to the dragon that had helped him the better. "What are you doing here? Are you looking to practive fighting? Will your practice with me."

Captain obvious Israfel was grinning like a dope, unaware of anything else.

Thackery's ears twitched at the voice; that didn't sound like Red. Sure, it had been quite a while since he had heard her voice, but he was pretty sure that was nothing like it. He tilted his head and tried to listen a little more carefully. Something about a secret? An incident? Was everything in the stories and warnings being boiled down to "incident"? Maybe the mysterious cloaked stranger was talking about something else.

"What's he talking about?" he mused aloud, brow wrinkling in confusion. He wasn't sure that he had ever felt quite this lost. And worried.

He had not intended to go past the gymnasium that day, but Sparrow had changed his path anyway, mostly on a whim. He had heard, of course, about the goings on that had been occurring at Amityville lately; listened to the rumors, talked to the horsemen (well, Asia) about what exactly had been happening within the past several months. Sparrow had tried to gain as much knowledge as he could about the situation at hand, considering that he had not been on either field trip and still felt rather new at the school, despite having been there for quite a while now.

This feeling of inadequacy was only magnified when he noticed the throng of students crowded around the gymnasium. Sparrow's booted feet clicked on the hardwood floor as he stepped uncertainly towards it, catching a brief glimpse of something red near the front.

And there was a voice - quiet and low, definitely masculine. Sparrow did not recognize it, but it seemed to sweep tension around the room, a few students stiffening, brows drawing together in confusion.

Now would be a really good time to have a decent male friend to converse with, thought Sparrow idly, casting his gaze around the room to land on a few of the students he actually knew - namely Xiu and Mot. It was rather sad that out of everyone that was here, they were all he knew.

I really need to get out more.

He debated on going over to talk with Xiu, but she was already surrounded by people, so Sparrow stepped silently to the side, moving a bit closer to the front to peer at the hooded figure.

Hearing Jericho Bul grumbled a little to himself tapping his chin. "He has a point seeing how far we are into this now.."

West was fine, at least on the outside. He had even been to the gym a handful of times since they had all returned, looking for fights to distract him from remembering what it felt like to be dead. Dead-ish. Whatever. That was what he had intended to do again today, but as he approached the gym, he noticed that there were a lot more people around than there usually were, many familiar, some not. Some dumbass was also wearing a red cloak, which was probably not a good idea right about now.

He strolled closer, curiosity getting the better of him, and silently hung around near the fringes of the group of students.
