The thread is sort of old, but at 32 I went to the shimering flats and killed lots of turtles. There is a common drop from them that sells for 45s to vendors. I got about 3 stacks on that hour as well as lots of other crap like turtle meat that you can sell on the AH. Also, I got half a level doing so.

Xiven Kalazaki I remember the loot in SM was close to 1 gold. Now they cut that in half. To get my mount i joined stupid guilds and asked for gold then left. Pretty mean i know but, i got it. Thats horrible.

Mr.T Primex Here's the deal I'm level 35 and nearing my mount. 90 gold baby and I only have 30. Now my friend said he'd lend me ten. So 40/90 I want to get my mount by atleast level 41. 50 gold to go I need to know what's the best way to get it. Don't be a player hater either and say "Professions" cause I haven't been working on any yet, utterly boring. Come on people you must have been able to come up with that amount of gold before level 40 so how did you do it? farm STV the whiskers sell for lots

wow...low lvl...i farmed those turtles in tanaris(sp?) with some help of coures biggrin . get a high lvlhealer and go somewhere with good drop rates. worked for me.. and the turtles drop golden pearls alot... but u better have a pet or be a thank

I didn't get my mount until 47 frankly, but it speeds up in the mid 40's A LOT when you can farm the wastewander water fields in tanaris. Those chests have blues FREQUENTYLY usually worth 10-40g and the runecloth and coin isn't bad either. 3nodding

I got my mount today, and basically the whole time i went through SM, cathedral or armory. And when i bought my mount i was 208 exp into lvl 40. And because i grabbed all my scarlet mail (NE hunter) in SM, i didnt have to buy any, and i ahd 30g left when i was done with buying all my lvl 40 stuff.
Anyway, i just disenchanted all my BoP drosp, and sold all the others.
So basically what i'm saying: Abuse Scarlet monastary and Professions
