"Whoa!" Marlon exclaimed as he was suddenly pulled over towards the tree Jiki had been in before. The bunny blinked in surprise as Jiki began to talk about the tree. "Um, yeah." But at his last comment, Marlon couldn't help but smile shyly. "It would definitely seem so!" he replied, with a smirk.

"Course I think you're interesting! Everyone is! One just has to delve deep enough into their life!" Rain said, still smiling. "Really? That's so awesome! I don't play any instruments. I'm not exactly, musically endowed." he chuckled "Yeah, I am interested! Very interested! And not just only in your instrument." Raine incinuated. He had smiled! Jigue smiled! It made Raine so happy that he had made the feline anthro happy!

(( I just realized.... I spelled "seemed" as "seeemd." XDDD That made me laugh! ))

Jiki flopped to the floor wit ha happy sigh. He looked up at Marlon and patted the grass next to his own body as an invitation to sit down. He leaned his back against the tree's trunk and looked out over at Jigue and Raine. Hmm.... Raine actually got him to talk! He's got some talent, he thought, turning back to the lavender bunny beside him. However... Marlon seems to have great talent as well. For once, I feel free of responsibility, he continued mentally. How was he able to do that?

"So, what kind of things do you like to do, Lon? You... don't mind if I call you that, do you?" he asked, a little surprised he had called Marlon by a nickname without first asking. He scratched the back of his head, hoping the bunny wasn't in any way offended.

"Everyone's interesting..." Jigue repeated, thinking it over. He never really thought of it, always subconsciously thinking that everyone's life paralleled that of anyone else. Now that he thought about it... everyone was unique, weren't they? He blushed a little as Raine commented on his instrument, and Jigue felt compelled to show him the violin itself instead of just the case. He opened the latch and pulled out the rosewood violin, finely polished and smoothed to perfection. It had a few nicks in it here and there caused by Jigue's blindness, but that was to be expected. It was well-worn and often used, after all. It glinted in the sunlight, but Jigue didn't see the flicker. He handed it to Raine, for some reason trusting him enough to handle something so precious to him, so he could examine it. "What else are you interested in, besides my instrument?" he asked, intrigued to know what Raine meant.

((Really? Oo;; *didn't notice* xD))

Marlon smiled at Jiki as he took the offered seat beside the fox anthro. "Eh, I like to do just about anything that is required to do outdoors." he replied, shrugging. "And no, 'course not!" His smile growing. "Worried about Raine annoyingg that guy?" he asks, following Jiki's gaze.

"Yeah!" Raine laughed, nodding. At Jigue's blush, Raine had to resist the urge to hug him. So instead, he went back to his old habit of toying with his pierced ear. When Jigue opened his instrument case, the short-haired bunny watched, awed. "You're going to show me your violin?" he asked. "It's... Beautiful!" he exclaimed when the instument was out of it's case.

As it was put into his hands, his eyes widened. He's trusting me to hold it? We only just met! And... I can tell, this violin means a lot to him! he thought. "T-thank you... Jigue." He looked down at the intstument, admiring it. "Hm? Oh... Well, I don't know. You seem like a nice guy! Quiet, smart. I don't know. I guess you could just call it a feeling."

(( I... think I should start proofreading before I hit "Submit".... sweatdrop ))

Jiki nodded as Marlon responded, agreeing. "Yeah, it's much better to be outdoors than it is indoors, isn't it?" he added, remembering how stuffy it always seemed to be inside. He lifted his hand to the wind as it blew, almost like he could run his fingers through it as he smiled. The wind wasn't terribly warm, but it wasn't exactly cold. He figured it was partially because they were in the shade, for the wind certainly seemed hot when they were exposed in the field!

He relaxed a little with a sigh when Marlon said he didn't mind being called 'Lon,' though he was still a bit embarrassed. "Well, I'm sorry I didn't ask first. I'm glad you don't mind," he said, trying to shake off his doubt. At Marlon's question, Jiki let out with a chuckle and shook his head. "No, no! Nothing like that. You see, that guy over there... well, he never really speaks to anyone. I was just surprised he was talking with Raine is all," he quickly answered, amused with the way Marlon saw Raine.

Jigue's blush intensified as Raine commented on his violin, but he tried his best to hide it as he felt the heat. Being such a pale color did have its downsides... "Thank you. I've had it for quite a while, since I was a child. I can play pretty well," he explained, trying to include his own voice into the conversation. Somehow, Jigue knew that Raine wouldn't try to do anything to his violin. He always blamed his inert sense of other people's personality on his enhanced senses, but in truth was not 100% sure. He shrugged it off; it didn't matter, just as long as he was correct in his assumption. He tried to say "you're welcome" to Raine, but the words didn't seem to come. He smiled instead, to show that he knew.

He was a little interested to know what made him seem like such a nice person to Raine. He had said it was a feeling, and he wondered what it felt like. Was it just like what Jigue felt about Raine? "Hmm. I think I know what you mean," he finally replied, nodding.

((xD Perhaps!))

He nodded in agreement, "Oh yes, by far! It's so... Restraining, being inside." Marlon said, smiling still. When the wind blew softly, he scooted a little closer. "Now that wind feels really good..." he said softly, glancing at Jiki, wondering what he was thinking.

"Naw, it's okay, I know ya so it doesn't both me." He shrugged, "No worries! And really? Well, I'm sure Raine will be able to really get him talking. He seems to have a talent for that," the lavender bunny chuckled.

Raine saw Jigue blush, and that made him giggle. "You're welcome! It truly is beautiful." He ran his fingers softly over the strings and the smooth wood. When he glanced back up, he saw the feline's smile. He was so cute! And with the blush, he was even more adorable!

"Really, you do? That's great! Most people think I'm weird, but... I don't care! They have their own opinions! Who am I to change people's mind?"

(( Hmm... still need a title for this thread.... >.> I'm thinking... "Paths that Cross" or something to that effect. Gotta make it interesting! ))

"Yeah," Jiki agreed, "Restraining's a good way to put it! Can't think of a better description of it, especially during winter." He turned his head down from the sky as the breeze died down a little. "Mm-hm," he said in accordance, smiling at Marlon. "There's a stillness in the air otherwise that makes it seem like the whole world is holding its breath. It's almost as if time stands still, if only for a brief moment."

"Oh really?" Jiki asked, turning back over to Raine and Jigue. He nodded, "I can see it. He's pretty talkative, he can find some way for him to open up." They both seemed to have a rather odd ability, though both bunnies differed in it.

"Why do they find you strange?" the cat asked, giving Raine a quizzical glance. Was it just because he was upbeat? He didn't seem to get it, finding himself quickly becoming friendlier with the bunny by the minute.

A thought struck him, but he was almost afraid to ask because he had never done it before. He shuffled slightly in place, tail snaking around in the grass before holding stiff and still. "Would you... like to hear me play?" he asked, a slight stutter to his voice. He never usually played to an audience, but he figured that maybe because he had warmed up so quickly to Raine, maybe he could try.

((Oooh! I like that title!! ^.^))

Marlon smiled. "Well, that's how I feel when I'm inside! Oh yeah, winter's the worst! But... Unless you have someone else you enjoy being with..." he hinted. "Because skiing without somebody else is boring. And Raine isn't exactly a sporty type." The lavender bunny nodded, "I agree... You know, you have a beautiful way with words."

Raine just shrugged. "I really don't know. I guess it's because I'm always so chipper. And they don't think it's normal for a person to be so happy all the time," he explained. "But I'm really not sure."

His choclate eyes saw Jigue's tail move a little. When he spoke, Raine's face lit up. "Really? You'd play for me? I'd love that, Jigue!" he exclaimed, giddy. "I really would like that!"

(( Okay, then I'll change it! ))

Jiki's ears perked up at Marlon's words, his heart skipping a beat. Does he mean me? he asked himself, looking back at the lavender bunny. He smiled a bit, saying, "Well, maybe next time it snows we should meet each other somewhere. I've never skied before. Maybe you could teach me?"

He grinned, blushing a bit. He was being a bit poetic, wasn't he? He scratched the back of his head, a little embarrassed but mostly flattered. "Thank you. I... like to play with words. It seemed to fit the moment, though, didn't it?" he asked. He liked Marlon already. Even after this length of time into their conversation, he still didn't feel like he was being judged by his actions, as he usually felt around others. He didn't know what he was feeling, but he knew it wasn't bad.

Jigue thought a moment, but shook his head. "Well, I think that's what I like about you. Well, not just that; you're friendly, too. Then again, I don't get people's actions a lot of the time anyway. Sometimes I don't even get myself," he said, smiling for the first time without holding back. It felt good to get that out, somehow.

He took the violin from Raine and set the end on his shoulder, under his chin, grabbing the stringed end with his left hand. He snatched up the bow with his free hand, winking at Raine though his direction was a little off. "I hope you like it," he said, placing the bow on the strings and sliding it across gently. He played a slower song than usual, but the tune felt upbeat to the ears. He had never played this song before; the notes just seemed to come to him in the heat of the moment. Mentally, he decided to dedicate the song to Raine, as it seemed inspired by him.

((Whee!! ^o^))

Marlon smirked, seeing Jiki's reaction. "That sounds lovely. I bet you'll love skiing. It's so awesome! And I'd be delighted to teacher you. I don't think I could let let anyone else teach you." Marlon smiled, his smirk growing.

The lavender bunny started to laugh again as Jiki scratched the back of his head. "You're quite welcome. And yes, it did. At least I think so!" Marlon couldn't believe it, he was actuall enjoying someone else's company! And even flirting a little!

Raine blinked, surprised by Jigue's response. "Aw, thanks, Jigue! I think you're a great guy, dispite what everyone else may say," he replied, smiling widely. As Jigue began to play, the short-haired bunny paid rapt attention. His smile grew as the notes flowed from the violin. He wished he could make such lovely music. It was so beautiful!

Jiki nodded. "From what I've seen of it on television, I can see myself enjoying it. Man, that sounded odd. I don't usually watch television," he said, blinking a little in surprise of his own voice. He turned back to Marlon, laughing a bit, "Being a little possessive now, aren't we? No matter. I think it'd be best if you taught me." He leaned back heavily into the tree and sighed. "I wish it would snow..." he mumbled.

"Good, then we both agree!" he stated. His ears twitched slightly at Marlon's laugh, making him smile wider than before. He hadn't heard it yet, and it sounded so musical. He hoped he could make him laugh again.

Jigue smiled as he played, happy that Raine would say that. When one didn't judge someone from rumors... that was a true friend. Jigue's hand remained steady and he did not miss a note, and he was happy at how it was turning out. He reached the finale with a slide of the bow swiftly across the strings, relaxing and setting the violin back in his lap. He let out a relieved sigh, smiling.

He turned to Raine before anything could be said, a sparkle in his eye. He coughed a bit to clear his voice before speaking. "May I request something?" he asked.

"Oh really? I always watch TV when I can't go outside. Can't beat ESPN!" Marlon laughed. "Well... Maybe..." He rolled his eyes skyward, a smirk on his face. "Really? I personally like the warmer weather.

Raine watched as Jigue's fingers held the bow steady as it played smoothly over the taunt strings. "That was beautiful, Jigue! I'm absolutely in awe! And of course you may request something. What is it?" The upbeat bunny smiled at the feline, awaiting an answer from him. He was also curious as to what Jigue was going to ask of him.
PostPosted: Mon Feb 20, 2006 7:53 pm

Jiki snickered. "Well, I usually end up going outdoors regardless of the weather, unless it's harmful to my health. Never want to catch pneumonia..." he explained. "Though, when I do watch television, I usually flip the channels around. There're so many interesting things people can come up with," he said on a thought, though he never usually stayed on one show unless it was particularily engaging.

Jiki rocked a little in place, tilting his head to one side. "Oh, well, that's what I thought, too. However... I kinda want to learn how to ski with you!" he said, smile wide. His rust-marked tail batted at the ground in anticipation as he thought about it.

Jigue fidgeted slightly, wondering how he was going to ask Raine his request without it sounding weird. He started with a reply to Raine's comment on his music. "I'm so glad you liked it! I played it... kinda thinking about how you were like," he explained as best he could without coming right out and saying that it was inspired and dedicated to him. He had hoped that saying this would ease him into his question, but the attempt failed. No matter, it's not like he would take offense at it. He cleared his throat again and asked, a little sheepishly, "Can I... well, see how you look like? I'd have to put my hands to your face to do that, so I understand if you don't want me to." He cringed a little, awaiting his response.

Marlon nods, "I see. Well lucky you. With my luck, I usually get some kind of cold whenever I go out in the cold." The lavender bunny listened, smiling. "Man do I know that. When I get to a commercial, I start to surf and I agree. There are som interesting stuff." He chuckled as Jiki showed great interest. "Well I'm sure that we'll have fun together."

Raine blinked, kind of surprised by Jigue's words. But then a slow smile appeared, "Oooh... Sure thing Jigue. Go ahead!" The bunny laughed. So, the feline wanted to know what his expression was, what he was thinking... And his suspicion about Jigue being blind was right.
PostPosted: Tue Feb 21, 2006 4:24 pm

Jiki snorted amusedly. "Ah, well, I'm pretty susceptible to the cold myself. I can't stay out long unless I bundle up," he explained. He nodded as Marlon agreed on the interesting nature of some of the shows out in the world. "Yeah, but those reality shows... I can't stand them! They're suppose to be realistic, but they are nowhere near it," he said, laughing. Why would someone want to publicize their life anyway? People can be so greedy...

He watched a butterfly float by idly, smiling at it's graceful movements. He sighed happily, "Well, I guess I can wait. It's beautiful out, and today's just perfect. Especially with you here, Lon." He turned back to Marlon and smiled.

Jigue's bushed tail waved about almost embarrassedly as Raine answered, wishing he could see him. However, he could only imagine as he lifted his white hand to tug lightly at Raine's right ear, smiling. He was right, Raine was a bunny. He slid his hand to grace the bunny's cheek, lifting his other hand to the other side of his face. He had sharp features, but was soft. As a strand of Raine's hair brushed against Jigue's hand, he moved to examine that next. His hair spun in tight curls around his face, leaving Jigue in awe. "Is your hair naturally this curly?" he asked, almost brethlessly.

"Ah, I see!" Marlon nodded. "I agree! They're just... insane. No one with half a brain would actually watch one and enjoy it." The lavender bunny just sighed and shook his head, "Some people are certainly strange... Especially when a lot of money is on the line. But yeah..." Marlon blushed a little when Jiki said he enjoyed being out with him. "Thanks... Same here."

Raine closed his eyes as Jigue's hand came up to his face. He giggled a little as his ear got tugged. At the feline's questions, Raine had to resist the urge to nod. So he answered, "Yeah, it is. And sometimes it gets annoying. It seems to have a mind of it's own in the morning..."
