"Err...I...I have a Death Charm." She said simply as if that explained the entire thing. "From Christmas town." Amrita added low, shuddering at the memory of Jingleberry handing her the charm egg. "H-he's still a Baby, though! Just...f-f-fire..." After ensuring he wasn't going to run, Amrita put her hand on the door knob and slowly turned it.
Before the door was even open a growl emitted. It was deep and thunderous, sounding as though it came from a rather large beast.
"DC!" Amrita scolded sharply, opening the door further to reveal the 'Death Charm'. He was roughly the size of a house cat, only his angled head was bowed, haunches raised, wings flared and the veins of red throughout his body glowing as white hot as his eyes. That deep, large noise? Yeah, from that little body. Little, angry body.
"I-I'm sorry! He's usually more well behaved...!" She said with a panic, stepping around the minipet as if he were the world's most dangerous thing. Aside from the terrifying creature, Derykion would notice that the room was warmer than the hall, likely due to the heating lamp and blanket in the corner. Not only that, but there were fishtanks almost everywhere, filled with various colours of those derpy looking fish. The bed seemed completely untouched, there was scorch mark outlines of two distinct body sizes on the floor, and the only thing that looked remotely lived in was the desk, which was set as though she'd been doing homework.
But, more importantly, that Death Charm. It was growling at Amrita at first, but it soon turned his sight to the Chernabog stranger, and continued to growl.

"Wait. Christmas town?"
Did this mean Santa was real? Well he didn't have much of a chance to think about it because a deep growl soon caught his attention. Staring down, he saw the small fiery beast. It was small, but it looked far more dangerous than the previous little creatures he had seen.
"N-n-nice little fire beast..." he said while warily stepping in with Amrita.
Every now and then, he glanced up to get a better look around. There were a ton of fish tanks in the room. All filled with fish similar to the one in his hands.

"Yeah, Christmas." She confirmed with a wrinkle of what was left of her nose. "It's a terrible place, it's wet and snowy and there's drunk trees and robots and..." A backwards hand rose to stop herself. "B-but! I met my some of my closest friends there!" ...And Christof. She met Christof then too. "So...I'm probably being hard on it." She submitted, trying to be optimistic about that place.
DC continued to growl and emit uncomfortable levels of heat, but he didn't move any closer. Eventually, the Patchwork began to tentatively ignore him. That nice little fire beast? That did make him snap his angled jaws threateningly, but that was it.
"He used to be so nice, too..." Amrita lamented, glancing sadly at the mini before turning to her tanks and tapping on a couple of them; all the fish just stared dumbly at her, even as she put the new additions into their midst. "Um...L-lemme just think...where the rare ones went..." She stared thoughtfully wide-eyed around the room.
"O-OH! There!" She stammered loudly, pointing at the fishtank at Derykion's side. "A-An Amethyst one!" HURRY UP AND LOOK NOW her tone said.

Robots? Christmas has ROBOTS? That was kinda cool really.
"Oh. Well that's nice," he said, "Though uh.. why were you in Christmas? Vacation?"
He was really curious about that reasoning. In the meantime, he still stared at the Death Charm warily, afraid it might try to bite him or worse. When Amrita called for his attention, he quickly glanced back to see one fish different from the rest.
"Wow... it's beautiful!" he exclaimed. It really was pretty. Kind of surprising considering the way this place was and whatnot.

"Yah. They exploded all over the place though" Amrita assured him. The growling had stopped, but it only made way for a series of really awkward sounding inhales from the little beast with the big voice. "Would that one do----OOOU!" The ghoul shrieked suddenly, reminiscent of a highborn Lady spotting a mouse, and hopped almost immediately onto her desk, hugging her knees to her chest and looking decidedly terrified. The culprit?
A flaming little hairball.
How did that even---
Whatever!
Amrita was, momentarily, out of commission.

Deryk blinked when she mentioned the robots exploded all over the place. Now he really had to wonder what was going on there. He didn't ask though. Perhaps it was better if he didn't. Instead, he just looked at the pretty purple fish. A new question cropped up.
What the hell was going to happen to it? Hopefully it wouldn't just be killed. That would be a shame.
When Amrita suddenly shrieked though, he let out a cry of his own. Jumping, he tired to look around to see what was going on. He thought he was in danger, but then he saw the reasoning for this.
A flaming.. hairball?
Deryk stared for a few moments. How did that...
He then looked from the hairball to the girl, noticing that she was rather terrified of the fire. Blinking, he reached out and gingerly stepped on the hairball to stamp it out.

"Aaahhh Watch o--" He just...stomped on it? Stomped on it and it went away? ...Why didn't she ever think of that? Oh, right, she never wore shoes and had absolutely no intention of letting fire anywhere near her person.
"...Thank you!" She hopped off of her desk and in her immediate joy, threw her arms around him for a nice, close hug. HER SAVIOUR! The boil who stomped out the hairball!

Thankfully it seemed his body could take more than just a little fire. The little threat was taken care of.
"You're welcome!" Deryk grinned to Amrita before pausing at the hug. He just got hugged by a undead girl with backwards feet and a removable face. He was not sure how to feel about this.
"Wasn't a big deal. Little fire easy to take care of. Big fire.. not so much. "

"O-oh! S-sorry! U-um, ah..." She immediately took his lack of returned hug as a I hate being touched but I'll be nice about it anyway, and bashfully went about busying herself with something. Apparently that something? Playing sheppard to an unwilling flock Death Charm. Her defeat was swift, and after a whole three seconds busied herself with something else.
Amrita picked the extra bags from Derykion's arms but somehow managed to completely forget about the piece of facial skin she had also handed to him. Then again, she didn't seem to have an interest in putting it back on her face.
"...Right! Um. The Amethyst, or...that one?" She gestured towards the Emeraldback in another tank, the other rares ~*~mysteriously~*~ missing. "Y-your choice."

Deryk let Amrita take the bags before pausing as he just had the flesh disk in his hands still. Cautiously, he looked it over a bit before holding it up to Amrita. "Er.. Don't you need this?" he asked. He didn't really want to keep on holding it. "Oh! Uh. Amethyst would be great. Thank you. Need help getting fish out at all?" he nodded while stepping closer to the tank. In the very least he could hold the bag of water, waiting for the undead girl to transfer the pet.

"What? Oh, that? No." She stared at the flesh he held, and waved a hand in dismissal. It was important to her since it was her face, but it was also not that important to her because she tended to forget to wear it a lot. Plus, she lost it more times than she could count. So yeah, not that important.
The ghoul had gone back to grabbing her rickety old chair (that had about as many scorch marks as the rest of her furniture, if not more) and dragging it to the big tank with the floresce in it to deposit the new finds.
"Umm...i-if you don't mind, I might need you to hold me?" Two of the bags were tossed aside, but she kept one with her, leaning her elbows on the tank's ledge and looking down at Derykion. It took a couple moments for her to realize what she said and how she said it, and when she did what remained of her face darkened in a grotesque blush. "I MEAN JUST---D-DON'T LET ME FALL OKAY?!" She cried out, much louder than intended, and quickly looked back into the tank...and then proceeded to take off her jacket, tossing it aside to leave her in her loose, burnt orange tank top.
Time to go fishing!

Deryk blinked at Amrita's answer. She.. didn't need it? But it was a part of her face wasn't it?
This left him standing there a bit awkwardly with the fleshbit in his hands. He tried to not think about it too hard. Instead, he focused his attention to the big tank, before pausing at her request. H-Hold her?
"OH! Ok. yes. I can do that. Will keep you from falling. Yes," he said while letting out a sigh. Nodding, he moved on closer, ready to help keep her steady so that she wouldn't end up falling.
"Good luck catching the fish. I know they can be tricky sometimes."

"Derykion!" Amrita called out, straightening her back just enough to pretend she had a spine. "I'm the fish Master! I'll be fine!" The ghoul beamed at him and resumed fishing, leaning so far into the tank her nose nearly touched the water. The fish nibbled at her arms, puckered stupidly against her stitches, but she threaded through them with the plastic bag, hunting the elusive, rare amethyst floresce.
By the time she was done fighting with the fishes (or rather, the fish were done flailing and flopping and splashing in the tank), she was pretty damn wet. Her tank top was soaked, most of her hair was just as wet...but she had the rare fish in the bag and a big grin on her face.
"So! What'll you give me for it?" She had already said she was going to give it to him for free, but she was apparently trying her hand at teasing. Somewhere along the line she got comfortable enough to try...or maybe her tiny victory of the pretty fish helped. Who knew.

"Oh. Uh. Right. Gotcha. Fish master."
While still holding onto Amrita, Deryk watched as she fished around for... well.. the fish. It didn't look easy, but she had managed getting the thing into the bag without too much of a hitch. She was drenched now, though.
"G-give you?" he stammered out in dismay, "Oh uh.. I.. I don't really.. have anything to offer... er... Um.."

Amrita merely smiled at his stammering; wow, this boil sounded suspiciously familiar! "Eh! I...I'm sorry! I was t-trying to joke but..." Guess she wasn't very good at it. The ghoul pouted with what was left of her lips, awkwardly climbing down from the chair and holding the bag closer to her at first.
"B-but I do...want you to do something in exchange for this." She held up the bag a bit, her brow knit together worriedly. Before he could spazz out as to what it was, she continued to talk. "Just...be careful, o-okay?"
