This mare sounded strange to her. Why was he so caught up about her? He just kept droning on and on about this stupid mutant mare that had carried his chil- oh. Children. Yes, those usually made others go ga-ga. For a split moment her attention was caught up in thoughts of playing tag with young ones and frolicking in flowering fields, wild and carefree with her foals... But it was only a moment of weakness. Shaking her head free of the thoughts, her little voice spoke to her again, barking at her to focus and listen to the stallion and retort.
Lip curled and rose to expose her teeth. A wicked snarl as any equine can make without fangs, and she responded through gritted teeth, "Lost cause? Why I oughta..." A heavy snort that got interrupted part way through as one of her hooves managed to wedge between the ties of the net and allowed her leg to fall through. A quick glare back at it as she tugged at it a moment but resigned to just flexing her hoof back and forth, gauging how far up she was from the ground. Not enough. She'd need more space. Turning her head back up she focused back on the stallion and instead finished her threats more calmly, a sinister look in her eyes now. "You wait 'til I get out of this damned net." You'll be sorry, she finished silently in her head.
And with that she parted her teeth to close them around some of the net. If he wasn't going to let her down, she was going to chew her way out. She chose a spot near her back leg that had gotten through, hoping that if she could loosen it here, she could maybe find a few nearby weak spots that would open up and allow her to fall out with the right pushing and kicking later.

Boi-Tatá couldn't help but chuckle to himself as he watched the mare struggle to break herself free. She certainly did have a temper to her and she was much smarter than he had originally thought her to be. Most of his captives took hours or even days before they figured out how to escape. A few had even been so unlucky as to have never figured it out. Luckily for him, his nets were always braided together with some rather thick vines. It certainly wasn't impossible for her to get out, but he figured he would have a decent amount of time to make an escape before she could truly come after him. It wasn't that he was a coward per-say, mainly the stallion just knew when he had the upper hand and when it was simply time for him to call it quits. With a mare such as this, it might be time for him to go. As much as that thought pained him, she certainly had been a great deal of fun. However, he wasn't much of a fighter and didn't want to stick around for that bit.
"You see," He started off, searching for the right words. "I would love to stay and chat with you more my dear, but I do have other things to do than try to comfort your poor self esteem. You really ought to find yourself a few friends for that you know. It might even make you more pleasant to talk to." He chuckled once more. "Anyway, I suppose I ought to be off now. Nefarious will want to know where I've been and I have a few foals to attend to. Not to mention you seem to be rather busy there." He nodded to the net that she was so determined to get out of. "I'll just leave you to it then." He grinned, flashing his teeth at her.

As he continued to stab insults at her, the mare contained herself to glaring down at him, blue eye glinting viciously. Every so often she'd also growl at him, but as far as any words, they didn't really surface at all. It wasn't worth it. She would put that effort into getting herself free.
After his last statement she threw out a single sentence. "See you soon, darling." A threat, perhaps, but she fully intended to get herself down from here and hunt this stallion down. Even if it meant trudging through more of this swamp than she wanted to. The wet wasn't so bad, she'd get used to it. But those grins and insults... those he would pay for. It was only a matter of time.
