"Not at all! I was human up until a few days ago actually. I'm not sure why I got turned into a cat." Bifrost looked up at him and smiled a kitty smile. It just had happened rather suddenly and unnecessarily.
"I'm sure I'll turn back eventually; I could really use with not eating my own fur thank you." It was really gross eating her own fu-- she licked her paw, getting at tongue full of fur.
Gross. It was worse that molting feathers. But at least you didn't eat the feathers afterwards.

Jett paused for a moment to look down at the girl—cat?—no, girl.
Weirdo.
Weirdo worked best.
“Well, didn’t you get the s**t end of the stick. That’s really gross. Don’t you just—can’t you just get somebody to brush you or something?” One hand hovered over her as if he wanted to do something to help, and then he promptly dropped it. Watching her lick herself was gross enough without him getting any further involved. “—Someone that can look after you until you…figure this whole thing out and can get back to being a normal human? You’re bound to wind up in trouble on the streets.”
Not that he cared too much what sort of trouble a cat got into—or a human, actually—but this whole situation was strange enough that maybe he could get way with being a little out of it, too. He didn’t expect there was a normal way to deal with any of this, anyway.

"Grandmother takes good enough care of me when I don't speak, actually. I just ended up... exploring out here because-- did you know that there's this huge population of mice and rats in the alleyways? There are so many! And they all want to play catch me catch me when you come up to them!" Kitty Bifrost blinked and rubbed her head with her paw for a moment. That was really probably not something Jett wanted to hear, at all. She looked up at him and wiggled her shoulders.
"You can put me down now if you like. My tummy feels fine." She said cheerfully, with no upset stomach coming back to haunt them. She did really want down though...

Jett was far less inclined to take home a talking cat; that just made things a little awkward. “Yeah, no problem,” he said after a moment, setting the cat down in a surprisingly gentle manner given how little he liked cats and how annoyed he was at being vomited on.
“…So, ah. If that’s all well and done, I guess I can just leave you to go play ‘catch me’ with all those rodents if that’s your sort of thing. You…sure you’re fine out here? There’s not somewhere better than a dark alleyway where you’d rather be?”

She looked up at him and smiled a kitty smile at him. She brushed up against him, purring. Her ears flicked and she shrugged her shoulders a little.
"No need to worry about me! I'm pretty sure I'll be alright on my own here. Thank you for helping me, and I'm sorry I threw up on you," said Bifrost. She turned and trotted a few feet away.
"Well I'm off! Have a good night!" And with that she trotted into an alleyway and vanished from sight, ready to take on any mice that dared get in her way.

Jett gave the cat a suspicious look; he still wasn't entirely sure what to make of her. With her goodbye, however, she reminded him of something he'd rather forget—the fact that she'd vomited on him.
He looked down at his shoe, not even bother to hide the sneer of disgust. With her gone, he wiggled his foot a bit, trying to shake what he could off. It became apparent that it was a fairly wasted effort. He'd be better off just hurrying home so he could dispose of these and focus on where to get a new pair.
Ugh, cats. Always too much trouble.
