Poor Veer. He hesitated, floundering for a moment, watching Leto hair the hell out of his pants and boots, and then succumbed to her demands -- not only stooping to pet her, but actually to pick her up. He didn't do it well. The hand around her stomach was probably uncomfortable, her legs dangling in a way that would make her want to scramble for purchase, but it was better when he settled her against his shoulder.
And now. Now she was tall.
His fingers went awkwardly under her chin again, his eyes lighting up a bit. "Oh. Uh. I know a cat. She gave me my name and everything. Uh. Dahlia."
His attention flitted down to Navi and he tried not to look embarrassed by his armful of happy cat. Later, he'd be chill about it, and make inappropriate comments in his IRC channel about all the p***y he'd gotten. For now, though, it was just weird. "I could find her, and Requiem, if you've got her address..."

Leto grunted when Veer's hand went around her stomach to lift her and leave her feet dangling awkwardly. She had to force away every instinct in her to flail at him with her claws extended until he finally brought her in against his shoulder. When his fingers found her chin, she pressed into his hand and began to purr loudly. She had a very smug!kitty look on her face, as though she accomplished something great by getting Veer to finally cave. She grinned down at Navi, feeling awfully happy about being high up again.
Nevermind the fact that any conversations about this when she was back to normal would be both embarrassing and awkward for her then as it was for him now.
"I have Requiem's address. If you could get in touch with this Dahlia, let her know I'm looking for her. Maybe we can arrange a meeting of some sort."
Truth be told? She missed having a guardian cat around after she had gotten so used to Zirconia, so having the help of a cat, even if she did belong to the Negaverse, would be nice.

Another sharp sniff was directed up at Leto as she grinned down at her from Veer's shoulder, and she rolled her eyes. It was difficult to tell whether or not there was something more going on between them then just their captain's particular brand of humor, but it seemed as though there might be. She'd have to remember that, perhaps use it to her advantage.
The tip of her tail was twitching gently as she listened to the other two speaking, not having anything to contribute herself. She didn't know any guardian cats, nor did she have the addresses of any of their other teammates. If it were possible, she actually felt all the more helpless at that realization.
She had Leto though, and the rest of the Dark Mirror Court. They were a family, and they would take care of each other. It was the main reason she wasn't freaking out or panicking. They had help, they had the beginning of a plan, they would get through this, together.

"I'll...sure, then. Let's get the address and I'll go cat hunting..." He took two steps forward, very careful, and then eased around Navi. Probably no need to worry, in all honestly -- while his boots were huge and heavy and would be very unpleasant if they came down upon one of those tails, both cats probably had the sense to twitch out of his way when he came running. And to sharp little kitty ears, his footsteps were probably like doom approaching, heavy and loud. His shoes weren't exactly stealthy.
"Do you want me to grab anything else?" There was a pause, a breath, as he headed back toward Quinn's desk. This was Veer thinking better of a comment and then deciding, <******** it, he'd just let it come slithering out, tact and tomorrow be damned.
"I could make up some tuna fish." His tone was snickering, a little, choking down on a laugh and not quite succeeding.

Leto winced slightly at Navi's eyeroll, realizing that her roommate didn't have the slightest clue about anything that may have gone on between herself and Al-Janah. She would have to make a mental note to have a girl talk when they were... Well, girls and not cats.
Leto clung to Veer's shoulder as he made his way over to her desk and she quickly blurted out Tova's address for him to jot down. When he made the tuna fish crack, her claws conveniently dug into his shoulders and her eyes narrowed.
"Not funny," she muttered, her tail lashing back and forth irritably. She thwaped him upside the head with her right paw before pushing off of his shoulder and hopping back down to the ground. She licked her paw furiously before rubbing it over her ear a few times and sat back on her haunches.
"Just make sure you or someone else comes in a couple times a day to make sure we're fed and doing okay."
She fell back onto the floor and stretched out, her paws batting at Navi's twitching tail. "No fish," she called out at Veer, wrinkling her nose while she continued to play with the other girl's tail.

Girl talk would be a very welcome thing if and when they were returned to their former states of being. Things had been a little chaotic lately, and thought Navi and Leto spoke often, it seemed Lydia and Quinn had fallen a little behind. It would be nice to rectify this.
Like their leader, Navi's eyes narrowed at the Tuna comment. "Not in the least." Never mind the fact that tuna sounded amazing, that wasn't the ******** point! Leto's smack against the side of his head with her paw made her chuckle though, and when the other girl dropped back to the floor and flopped beside her, Navi sank down as well, tucking paws beneath her chest. Tail flicking idly.
"Oh! And open a window enough for us to get in and out, it'd kinda suck to be stuck in here with no way to leave." Tempting as it was to hide away while they where stuck as they were, they couldn't do that.

At least Veer'd been wearing his jacket; sharp claws barely pricked against skin. It still made him wince, a hand settled over the spot, eyes rolled as Leto dropped off the desk to the floor. It was shocking just how cat she'd become so fast; it was weird. And it was also adorable.
He swept the pair of them a bow that was exaggerated and mocking, one arm thrown out too far. "Obviously I'm just here to serve. Not like you were supposed to be making me dinner or anything..."
But he did go, tossing a window open over the fire escape, addressed tucked thoughtlessly, crumpled a bit, into one pocket. He changed easily to hop back out the mirror, out the way he came in.
He'd be tempted to return with cat food.
