Cara grinned. A direct hit!! Maybe things were turning around after that critical hit. As the Thunder Wave came forward it came to her. "Dante, jump around it to dodge then use Aerial Ace!!" 'A no-miss attack.' Cara grinned, glad she had taught Dante that move. Dante growled in delight, he knew that move never missed. He swiftly maneuvered around the Thunder Wave and leapt up into the air, and 'flew' down at Joltik at an incredible speed and slashed at it.

He winced as Joltik was viciously slashed by Dante. A no miss move. Joltik had nothing like that in his arsenal. Alex had to stop and think. He couldnt afford chancing another Thunderwave, or another other status affect-er. It was time to go back on the offensive."Joltik, Cross Poison!" The yellow spider hissed at Dante and leapt, tiny fangs out and ready to bite the Persian with a poisonous bite.

Dante yowled once again and scratched at the tiny spider in order to get it off. "Hold on Dante, I know you can do it!" Cara had to think. What other attack might work well against an electric and bug type pokemon? She could use Dig again and have a sneak attack or try for another iron tail but there Joltik was slightly resistant to a steel type move. Cara smiled, she might as well use a different type of attack. "Ok Dante, use Dark Pulse!" Dante grinned in a cat-like manner and suddenly a dark aura started to form around him. It grew larger and larger until suddenly it pulsated around him and he released it, and it shot directly at Joltik.
((Hey Jehan, you should've added a field bonus to the attack power because Aerial Ace is a flying type move))

The spider tried to hold his ground but went skidding across the rocky surface when Dantes dark pulse hit him. Joltik brushed it off quickly, waiting for his next command. Alex smiled. The little guy might be small, but he certainly had a lot of determination. Regardless, they needed to recover some lost HP. "Leech Life, Joltik!" Alex commanded, keeping his fingers crossed behind his back. Joltik began to glow green, then launched himself at Dante.
((Attack Dex said there was damage too, so I tried my best to guess what it would look like. xD))

"Dante! Dodge and use Dig!" Cara shouted. She could see that Joltik was starting to get a bit tired. Dante was still going strong. He dodged the pint-sized pokemon's attack quite easily and quickly started digging through the hard terrain, hoping to surprise attack his foe.

"Joltik!" Alex cried as Dantes dig hit true once more. This was getting bad. It didnt look like Dante was even breaking a sweat, while Joltik was getting very worn down. Alexs best move was to try and regain as much HP as he could. "Hang in there little guy. Leech life again!" Joltik recomposed himself, relaunching the attack he had used the last round.

"Dante dodge it!!" Dante tried to dodge the electric insect but it was to quick for him this time. He cried out as his HP was sapped and he was shocked. "Grrrr, such an annoying and cute little bug." Dante gave Cara a look when she said 'Cute'. "What? It is!" Dante growled a bit more and shook the stiffness out of his limbs and faced his foe once more. "Dante, use Aerial Ace!" Dante grinned in a cat-like fashion once more and took off at Joltik, faster than it could keep an eye on.

Alex regained his smile. Leech life had work, and now he was comfortable saying that the game wasnt over yet. If he kept this up, he may even gain the advantage. The trainer watched with a cool face as another one of Dantes Aerial Aces hit. Alex really hated that attack, especially on this field. "Youre doing great, Joltik. Keep using Leech Life." Alex called. Joltik wiggled and jumped at Dante again.

Cara grimaced as Dante took another hit of Leech Life from Joltik. Her face hardened but she knew they were getting closer. Now she had to decide which attack to use. Aerial Ace would continue to hit without fail, it would only do 125 damage, and that damage rate depended on how much energy Joltik would take from Dante. On the other hand, Dig and Dark Pulse had the chance of hitting Joltik much harder then Aerial Ace could, and she didn't want to waste Iron Tail. "Decisions, decisions..." She muttered to herself. Finally, she decided to go for a gamble. "Dante, use Dark Pulse!"

100 Base Damage - 25 From Leech Life = 75 Damage The black-haired trainer bit his lip. Joltik was looking worse, but then again so was Dante. One more Leech Life should get them ahead. Or at least even out the odds. He hoped. Joltik flew back with Dark Pulse, landing in a heap on the ground. The little bug struggled to get up, but managed to get a shaky footing. Alex could tell that the battle was nearing its end. "Youre doing great, Joltik. One more Leech Life should do it." Alex could have sworn he heard the little thing sigh. Must be all the jumping. Nevertheless, Joltiks body gained the green glow of the move, and the spider launched himself into the air. Dante dodged Joltik's latest attempt, moving faster than his buggy foe. He was getting tired, and Cara could tell, but he wasn't going to give up, no way, no how. "Ok Dante! Use Dig!!" Dante nodded and started tunneling once more. Hopefully he would land a critical hit.

"No!" Alex slapped his forehead with his palm. Joltik had not only missed, but also had been hit by Dante. This was going downhill and fast. Unless the little guy could land two critical hits in a row (unlikely to happen, due to the amount of exhaustion the Joltik was showing) then they were finished. There was really only one thing that could save them. It hadnt worked the past few times, but at this point there wasnt any other option. "Joltik, try another Thunderwave!" The little spider seemed reinvigorated with the command of a new attack. Its little legs scrambled back under him. He crouched down low, gathering the electricity within its body. After charging up enough, the spider projected the ball of energy at Dante.
