Erebos dodged the attack, but only barely, the proximity of the single bold of thunder causing static to form on his skin. The next human to cone in contact with him would be pleasantly surprised.
With a sharp bark, he readied another Stone Edge.

Maya winced and scurried backwards after being hit again. She was beginning to feel weak, a feeling she hated. " Maya, Electroball!" Flint called out, funneling all her frustration into the attack she let loose the ball of energy

Erebos wasn't so lucky this time. He was was hit, and he was hit hard by an Emolga who had been less than pleased to have been attacked.
A guttural noise, half whimper, half angered snarl, sprang forth from his lips and he attempted Stone Edge once more.

"The Emolga's almost down, Lucario!" Genesis cried. "Use Aura Sphere!"
Erebos ran against the spark, rushing forward despite the pain. He was falling apart at the seams, tired from the battle and the attacks he had been subject to. But he had been trained to win and to go against or ignore anything that would hinder that goal.
Ears flickering to show he heard his trainer, his maw glowed white, light peeking out in rays between his fangs, and he shot an Aura Sphere at his opponent.

Maya shudderd then collapsed, slipping into unconsciousness. "Maya!" flint called and rushed out onto the field and scooped up the Pokemon. He pulled out her pokeball and recalled her, he would get her to the pokemon center shortly. he crossed the rest of the feild towards his opponent and stuck his hand out to shake the girls hand " good battle, your lucario is really well trained. You should be proud"

Genesis sighed with relief. For a moment, she thought Erebos would be done for. His opponent was powerful and she didn't think it would have been surprising at all had he lost, but his previous owner had trained him with only winning in mind, and she didn't want to deal with whatever internal, emotional problems might have emerged had fate turned the other way.
Hiding such thoughts from her face, she went to meet the approaching trainer half-way.
"Flint, right?" she said, shaking his hand. "Your emolga is, too. She's incredibly skilled to have lasted so long against a Pokémon nearly three times her size."
Erebos was not one to return to his Poké Ball, no matter the effort it took to keep himself up. He loathed the contraption as, once inside, it allowed anyone to take him wherever they wished and summon him only when they wanted to. As a result, instead of calling him back, Genesis merely checked to make sure he had come to her side before she let go and turned away. "Well, we better get going to the Center," she said, her raised hand waving in farewell. "Thanks for the battle!"
