"The goal is to keep the ball from getting past the flippers," Barth said. Instead of madly pressing his button, he only gave it an occasional push, like an afterthought, and only when the ball made it absolutely necessary. "And the rest of the board is like variety skiball."
The ball wandered somewhere important, and there was a celebration of lights as the numbers near the top of the machine tallied higher.
The really important thing, of course, was that operating one button each kept them in the middle of the machine, and side-by-side. And left a set of claws free. Which Barth rested on Calder's opposite hip.

Calder was very distracted with the claws on his hip, and he pretended to be looking down at the flippers while he watched the claws sit there out of the corner of his eye. This...this is what dates were made of. He couldn't help but smile as he slowed down at his his rapid fire button mashing, watching the ball move about and bounced around the pinball machine just like his heart was around his ribcage.
Slowly, he rose up his his free hand from behind and slipped it around Barth's hip, hooking his fingers in his belt. His tail flicked back and forth behind them. "I like this game."

"Yes, you know, it's more enjoyable as a 2 player," Barth said.
Cut the buttons to press by half, for one thing.

He chuckled. "Two player is always better than one." He nudged his hip against the demon's hip. "We should pick out another." Was he even paying attention to the lights and little, silver ball now? Nope. Now he was just idly pressing the button whenever it seemed needed, but was more or less just enjoying being this close and holding the boil's hip. He wondered what other games would let him hold other parts of the boil. Was there a hugging game? A kissing game? There had to be something to accomplish these goals.

"Another two player game?" Barth asked, thoughts lingering on the same subjects as Calder's. "What sort did you have in mind?"

Calder looked around, still hitting his button and smiled. "What about that? That looks fun." He pointed to a motorcycle game where a player rode on a motorcycle with a screen in front to race. "Can we do that together?"

"Yes. Yes, let's- no. Well. I do like that sort of game, I'm just afraid- that once I sit down I err, I won't be very keen on getting up again. Honestly."
And the motorcycle was practically lying down.
"I suppose if you pull me..."

Calder rolled his eyes. "I can easily do that, and if you need to be pulled off, I can do that too." He nuzzled his neck. "I'll take you to the games, and you show me how to use them. Sounds like an even trade." The game spit out another series of tickets, and he stuffed those into his saddle bag before taking Barth by the hand and leading him over to the Motorcycle game. He then helped him up and then sat behind him. "Oh, okay. So.....where are the buttons?" He looked around on either side.
