"It's good to hear you're doing better and I'm glad Amrita's doing okay. I was worried about how serious everyone's injuries were. It was a relief when Shun started to see and hear again...and poor Mot." Hel seemed to be doing okay or at least so Mitsu thought. The ghoul had forced her into a battle after all and not long after she had started to feel better.
The thoughts of the battle they had just lived through melted away though as Mitsu eyed the shop ahead, her tail wagging in unison with Xiu's. Upon first entrance the warm sensation of honey, cakes, and chocolate hit her. Not that she could have chocolate but for some reason it still smelled good to her.
"This place is really nice. We should definitely come here more often." Mitsu agreed. "Do you guys want to split a piece of cake?" Mitsu was eyeing their cake selections as Lizzy walked over to a table. Their cakes were huge!
Already digging silver seeds out of her pocket Mitsu began to make her cake selection much like one chooses a house or a car. It was an important decision! She didn't get sweet treats often.

It definitely was relieving that everyone was getting better! Xiu smiled upon hearing that their friends were all healing, though like with Mitsu, the baku's mind drifted elsewhere once they reached the shop. She let out a happy little sigh as they stepped in, and for a moment, Xiu just stood in silence, taking in their surroundings. The smell of the baked goods, the look of the simple and pleasant interior, the sound of the soothing music...
She was pretty sure that the last two senses, taste and feel, would join them once they found what they wanted to order.
"Sounds fine with me!" Xiu smiled in response to Mitsu's question, following after Lizzy so that they could claim their table, "I have no idea what to get, though! Everything looks really good..." Chocolate was definitely out, though--they didn't want Mitsu to get sick, after all!
"Hmm...what are your favourite flavours?" She hummed thoughtfully, directing this question to both of her friends.

"I don't mind!" She nodded, in regards to sharing a cake; that way, they could save on costs too! Besides, she wasn't sure if she could finish a cake by herself, so sharing seemed like the better option for now. If she liked the cakes enough, she could always opt to buy some back, "Uh, I like... Strawberry? And... I kind of like some cheesecakes?" There was also chocolate, but she didn't want Mitsu to feel bad.
"We could also get a drink each?" She mused, looking at the menu from where she was, squinting to try and read off it, "So we can talk and have something to drink at the same time..."

Everything did look good. So hard to choose. Though as soon as Lizzy spoke up Mitsu's eyes zeroed in on the one thing that had everything. Cheesecake with strawberries on top. Letting the attendant on the other side of the counter know what she wanted Mitsu ordered the rather large piece of cheesecake for them to share and a pot of berry tea to keep at the table. She wasn't sure if Lizzy or Xiu would like it but they were welcome to have some if they so choose. Mitsu had become rather fond of the berry tea after Lattice let her have some.
Thankfully the attendant seemed to know better than to let Mitsu carry everything to the table. He gave her the piece of cheesecake but carried the tray of tea with three cups on it to the table himself. Placing it down he flashed a rather charming smile at the group. "Can I get you ladies anything else?"
Sitting down at the table Mitsu placed down the other two forks she had grabbed on top of a napkin, eyeing the cheesecake as if deciding where to start. Maybe it would be best to cut it up first? Hard to say. "I got berry tea if you want to share that with me." Mitsu gestured to the tea the attendant had set down.

Oooh, cheesecake! Xiu had no problem with this choice--she loved cheesecake, though it was something that she couldn't eat too much of lest she start to feel sick. It was, in her opinion, the perfect cake to choose to share. "You have good taste, Lizzy," She laughed, her tail swishing back and forth as Mitsu brought the cake back to the table, followed by an attendant. She bobbed her head in thanks as he set down the tea and cups, humming thoughtfully. Berry tea? Seemed like a good match for the cake.
"I haven't had the berry tea here--I wouldn't mind trying some, though." If there was one thing about the baku, it was that she loved tea of any kind, though sweet ones tended to be her favourite.
Following Mitsu's lead, she picked up one of the forked, eying the cake with a little laugh. "It seems too pretty to eat. Where do we start?"

"No, it's fine, thank you," She smiled at the attendant; she seemed friendly! Although it was yet another reason for them to come by more often. Picking up the remaining fork, she stared at the cheesecake, gleeing internally at how delicious looking the strawberries were and how big the slice of cake was.
She glanced at the berry tea with a thoughtful expression; while she did not have the habit of drinking tea, Xiu and Lattice had made her more open about trying them, despite the mild taste of some of the ones she had tried.
"Sure!" She grinned at Mitsu; the smell of the tea was tempting anyway... It didn't smell like the teas she had been given to try in the past! This one smelt fruity and sweet, like candy. At Xiu's comment, she giggled, giving the ghoul a sheepish grin, "It does! I think we should all take the first bite together!"

Mitsu actually grinned a bit at Lizzy's suggestion. "That's a great idea!" Waiting for the others she hovered her fork over the cake before letting it sink into the soft cheesecake to separate herself a small bite. Pulling it away from the rest of the cake she waited again until the others were ready and took her first bite.
Now Mitsu had never had cheesecake as far as she could remember, from the way it tasted she would have remembered because it was delicious. She savored the flavor for a moment before finally chewing a swallowing, licking her lips delightedly. Her tail had started wagging again, obviously she was pleased. It was also much easier to eat when she wasn't worried about trying to hide behind her mask. Go figure. "It's really good."
Turning from the cake Mitsu poured everyone some tea before bring a cup to her lips to have a sip. "So what else has been going on with you two?" This was time for catch up after all. What had they been up to before and even after the field trip other than recouping.

It was a great idea! Lifting her fork, Xiu cut off a small piece, watching her friends so that they could time it before she took the bite. Though she was silent, the delighted expression on her face was enough of an indication about her opinion.
Best strawberry cheesecake ever.
"Really, really good," She agreed, her wagging tail joining Mitsu's, "It's not too sweet or anything! Just...perfect." A happy sigh. Clearly Xiu was easily pleased by desserts, considering the bright smile on her face.
She grinned at Mitsu in thanks, taking a sip of her own tea and determining that they really, really needed to do this more often. Xiu had a feeling that she was going to visit this place more often from now on (especially while she was still incapable of baking for herself). At Mitsu's question, however, the baku snapped out her sugar-induced glee to stare.
"Oh. We, uh...nothing much, really."

This is the part where Lizzy's tail would be wagging if she had one.
"Agreed," She nodded with the end of the fork still in her mouth, sighing contentedly as the cheesecake practically melted in her mouth; how long had it been since they sat in a wonderful cafe such as this one, and just relax? Probably not that long, but the field trip made it felt like an eternity.
"O-oh, nothing much," She chimed in, hoping that Mitsu wouldn't pick up on Xiu and her suspicious behavior, "Uh, so... How are you and Shun? I mean... The two of you are together now, right?" She giggled, wriggling her eyebrows at the word 'together'; this topic change should distract Mitsu!

Xiu's tone and hesitation was curious. Mitsu looked toward the baku, a questioning look on her face as she tried to determine what was up. It was almost like Xiu was hiding-
And as Lizzy would have hoped her question did the trick. Blushing lightly Mitsu looked down at the table, though she couldn't hide the small smile she had. "I..I suppose we are." Mitsu said shyly as she began to fidget with her fork. She was still rather new to this relationship thing but she couldn't deny she was happy. Not even the terrible field trip could dampen her spirits on that. "How did you find out?" Mitsu asked, very unaware that the spider demon had spotted them in the yard in front of the haunted house.

Ooh, good move, Lizzy! The baku shot the spider demoness a grin and a very subtle thumbs up before she turned to listen to Mitsu. While she had had a very obvious hunch, it obviously wasn't until now that she realized the relationship between Shun and Mitsu was now official! How exciting!
"Waitwaitwait! So when exactly did this happen?" She wanted to know, her attention being drawn away from even the delicious cheesecake as she focused solely on their friend. "I mean...when did it officially start?"
Inside, the baku felt a hint of pride well up at the thought that the Love Squad's first (and only) mission had ended up a success! Ooh, they were so good at this!

She felt just about as proud as Xiu where the success of the Love Squad was concerned, mainly because they did go through quite a bit to try and make that date incredible... She had to wonder if that waitress ever got out, and how.
"I saw the two of you kiss outside the Haunted House, during that field trip," She tried to focus solely on that part of the field trip, since the rest of the trip just got her upset to think about, "And Shun seemed like the type to only kiss you if he wanted to start something... And since you reciprocated the kiss..." Mainly because the both of them had been so insecure, so afraid to lose each other at the beginning, that Lizzy was sure that kiss had meant something.
"However, I would love to hear about how it started officially," She giggled, leaning over the table slightly to look at Mitsu expectantly.

The blush on her face suddenly intensified knowing that Shun and her had been watched and even more so when Lizzy leaned in eager for details. Her cheeks threatened to match her eyes as she found a sudden interest in the grain of the table not sure what to say.
"I..I guess it was during the field trip." She had said she had wanted to be with him and he had felt the same, though that wasn't until afterwards when they were back at school. The field trip had been the door opener, the small glimmer of a confession. He never officially asked if she would be his ghoulfriend but it was kind of implied....right? Saying they wanted to be together was enough...wasn't it? Mitsu wasn't entirely sure but she knew that they were together and that was what mattered.
"I..I guess it started in the rooms before..." Before they had to choose a door and were faced with tragedy. Mitsu had trailed off and didn't finish, the sad frown on her face apparent before she finally moved on. "It was brought up again when we got back to school...when...Shun could hear and see again." Just remembering how lost he had been being unable to see or hear sent a chill down her spine. The field trip had brought them together and she was glad for it but it really wasn't the best circumstances. There was no lovey dovey moments like in some of the books she had read. No lighthearted mood, no casual conversation. Everything had been intense and it was in those moments with him that she felt she could collect herself. He was her safe point.

The baku's tail immediately began to wag at Lizzy's words, pink eyes growing large. "They kissed?" Xiu was a romantic, and she clearly wasn't afraid to show it. The look on her face was one of excitement and glee...but also mild disappointment. Sighing, she settled back into her seat, cutting off another piece of the cheesecake and holding it in front of her mouth. "I wish I had been there, or there were pictures..."
A wistful sigh, and then her forkful of cake went into her mouth. At the very least, the dessert managed to dispel most of her disappointment--it was hard to be negative when you had such a tasty cheesecake in front of you.
"About time, though!" The baku teased lightly, reaching out to give Mitsu a gentle nudge, "I'm happy for you two!"

"Oh oh!" Lizzy seemed excited as she took out her eyephone, but her expression soon turned sheepish as she fidgeted in her seat, running her fingers through her hair, "Uh... This might seem inappropriate of me, but I thought that it was a special moment, so I wanted to save it to show to Xiu and Junko... Soooo I might had taken a photo of that kiss."
She did.
"And I might have it on my phone."
She does.
For now, she just settled on looking at Mitsu with a hopeful expression while hoping that nobody thought that she was creepy; she thought that it was a good idea at the time!
