Candace looked up to see who else was entering the room. It was unsurprising that the first arrivals were mostly the older trainees who knew better than to keep Caelius waiting. A quick look was given to the man before shifting in her seat, giving Minerva a wave. "Yo. Candace, nice to meet you...ah...this is Atropos." She wiggled her fingers, showing off the pair of glowing gemmed rings she wore on each hand. Atropos snorted in her head and Candace pretended it didn't happen.
She heard Eva's greeting and gave her a wave as well, patting a seat beside her. "Hey, cutiepants. Have a seat." See, Caelius? See? Candace could play nice. "Morning, Chipmunk." Even if it meant giving everyone stupid as hell nicknames.
Annnnnd there was Bratface. At least he wasn't slamming doors and making bratty comments today. "New trainees, Tika. Like Gale said. It's nice to have new faces every now and then, eh?" She chuckled at Bix, nodding at his comment. Yes, he did get dibs. "I'm still curious how we got our own weird nickname. Someone should've asked Ben that as part of our Q and A." She stretched her arms up and seemed to relax a bit. How was Ben doing, anyway? She hadn't seen him since that day.

"I heard you were playing teach," said Gale, casting an amused glance at Bix. "I also heard Doctor H put on the same show for them as he did for us when we first got here."
<< That poor Clarice. >>
Yep.
Gale's turned a mildly exasperated face in Candace's direction, resisting the urge to roll his eyes. Somehow it seemed that was her new nickname for him, and he was not going to be able to escape it.
"Someone should've asked Ben that as part of our Q and A."
Gale's expression shifted almost immediately, turning from a slightly entertained one to one that was almost unreadable, his face closing off. Candace's offhand, lighthearted comment had almost made him flinch unintentionally, considering Gale hadn't told anyone about that mission, except for the leaders in his mission report. And since Caelius was sitting here now, something told him it would not remain quiet for much longer.
<< It's not like it's easy to keep secrets around here. >> came Jinhai's voice, quiet in his head, and Gale tuned away, resting his head against his hand and staring silently at the front of the table, waiting for the meeting to begin.

Mission time! Deryk wasn't entirely certain what to make of it, but that text he got definitely seemed to be important. Making sure he had Tooley on him, he rushed on out, pausing for a moment as he realized he didn't know where to go. Luckily, other hunters were on their way as well, so he just followed them to the room they needed to be in.
Inside, there were already a number of people, making him wonder if he was late already. No. No. Couldn't be. Not yet at least. Eagerly, he slipped on in, taking a moment to look around at the others. There were a number of unfamiliar faces still, which he had to expect.
"Hey guys!" he greeted to the people within, noticing the guy up front. Was that the infamous Caelius? Maybe.

Cass waved to some of the more familiar faces as they entered the room, probably not braced for what was to come from the insane Death Hunter who was probably bleeding all over as a display of EPIKKU MANRINESS. Either that or it made up for the lack of femininity of his haircut as it was now. Not that it looked... horrible. It just....really needed someone to clean it up, to be honest. The mist hunter made a small face, then looked to Marcus as he came over to sit with her, flashing him a small smile, but trying to not seem too...clingy.
She had a distinct feeling that Caelius would have made a point of butchering one of them to dissuade any sort of 'romantic' thing going on with anybody in the group.
There was a small look of concern that flashed over the girl's face as she noticed Leon take his leave to a quieter area of the room. She made a note to go check up on him later, just to make sure everything was alright. Possibly corner him into a jog or something that she knew she wouldn't be able to keep up with him at. Still, something on his terms, as it was. Damn, that little meet-and-greet they'd ended up having had...well...ended up causing some ********, hadn't it?
Maybe they would learn quickly from this.

He continued to work away, posting one thumbtack next to the other in a sort of jagged line against the map until the trainees decided that noise control was not in their existing dictionary.
Caelius glanced up abruptly with his usual pleasant expression. "Trainees. Please be-"
- It was then that he noticed the new trainees. Namely Deryk, Eva, and Otto. The trainees could literally see him putting two and two together as the Death Faction leader noticed his new division recruits for the first time. From the more veteran trainee's perspective, it also looked like he was ready to pull out of his infamous Darwinism teaching methods and kill them right on the spot. Thankfully he seemed to reconsider.
"-Seated." Silence as he waited, pulling out a hand-wipe from his chest pocket to clean up the small mess he had made. As an afterthought, he tied the cloth around his slightly more injured arm. "Glad to see the second wave of trainees have assembled much faster than the first. Maybe you will not be such a disappointment." It was evident in his tone that he though them equally as failures, just some more experienced failures than others. "Unfortunately I do not have time today to hold your hand and explain the foundations of our organization as well as our purpose other than what you might have learned: that we fight to protect ourselves and others."
A couple of trainees had an odd look in their eyes, clearly thinking about the entire Island elimination process. Caelius gave them an even stare back. "Unlike your little pet names you gave yourselves during the candidate phase, when you wake up here, you get no second chance. You will learn to work with each other, or your teammates will pay the consequences. Not everyone here will become a full fledged Hunter, and even if you do, there is no guarantee that you might survive a year, a month, even a few days post promotion. However, for any of you wishing to permanently retract your prior offer made to me - to Deus Ex Machina - I would like all of you to accompany me in this small follow-up mission first. Perhaps I will have a chance to dissuade you, or myself, of taking extraordinary measures, and those of you who are a little more unaware about our situation a first-hand glimpse of exactly what it is we do."
Even with the extra additions to the room, and the odd hiccup at the beginning, everything seemed normal again for the trainees, or at least those who had experienced this mission debriefing once, twice, and then several times. Caelius folded his hands together. "Now then, are there any questions before I detail the mission?"
OOC - This is now a pre-mission Q&A session, so feel free to ask away as needed
