When the other boil got closer, Roch came up, slamming the demon in the gut with the butt of his guitar. "Sucks, huh?" he asked, regaining his balance.

It did suck. It sucked so much that Charlie fell over and clutched his gut with both hands while he rolled around the ground in pain. Not that Charlie hadn't deserved that. He had. He really had deserved that after his epic head butt. Still, right now he was in to much attack shock to really do anything back but lay there for a moment longer.
This was a very dangerous route to go though as it opened him up to attacks.

"When you run into the hunters, they'll hit harder," Roch said, feeling guilty for what he was about to do. Nonetheless he slammed his guitar into the fallen boil's back, using the flat. It was still harder than he had planned.
But... but what if Charlie DID have to deal with a hunter? Would going easy on him do any good for his safety? Jackdammit, he didn't want to hurt the kid, though!

He was hit again and the pain really was starting to hit home. Tears welled as he stayed on the ground.
"H-hunters hit ... hard.." He spit some blood and rubbed his mouth. Slowly he got up to his feet holding his side. But he was too slow to really get an attack in.

He was going to burn in hell, Roch thought as he started his killer spin. The weight of the guitar sped up the spin, giving him momentum, and the guitar slammed into Charlie's side.
"Then they kill you," Roch said. "Or worse, they trap you in a cage and you just wish you'd died."

Roch hit the demon so hard he was knocked sideways and hit the ground. Hard. More blood spit up from the collision. A Ughhhguahhhhhhaha sound could be heard as he gasped for air. The battle with Mac had been a lot smoother then this.
Everything hurt now and it was getting harder to get up. His little body was betraying him now. Now Charlie was standing, but his wings were down. Blood spilled from his lip. His body felt very heavy as if he was about to fall over.

"I don't want to hurt you anymore, man," Roch said quietly, lowering his guitar. "I really don't. But you didn't see them there, Charlie. You didn't see them stuck in cages, unable to do anything, waiting to be rescued by kids just like them. I don't want to ever find out that happened to you."

Slowly, Charlie gained his whit back. Just in time to hear Roch talk about the cages. Okay, so now Charlie got it. Roch wanted him to defend him self. Or know that he was capable of defending him self.
Just a little while ago the demon had surprised Mac with just how capable of defending him self he really was.
"All right then." The demon jumped up and flew in to the air only to come down on Roch with his boot to his shoulder. Doing that much effort in to an attack really wore Charlie out though. A soon as his feet touched the ground he knelt down grasping his sides.

Roch grunted at the hit. "That's better," he said, even though it hurt. "You've got wings, use them, you've got those jackin' sleeves, use them. Not just as a whip, you can do a hell of a lot with them." He headed over, kicking the boil in the back of the knee. "Aim for the vitals, don't think honor. Honor just gets you killed."

"Wings... use..." Charlie was pretty breathless still. The attack might have been a good one but it had cost the demon a lot of stamina. He flexed his wings and attempted to launch him self up, but it was no use. He was starting to grow tired now.

"Work on your flying stamina," Roch instructed. "The farther you are in the air, the harder you'll be to hit. Sure, there's some with long range attacks, but you can still try and dodge. Aim for the throat, this area under the rib cage, the balls, the shins, the feet, if it looks vulnerable, you're looking for it."
He was in training mode, listing the things he'd been taught since long ago. But suddenly they meant so much more.

The demon wiped his mouth free from the blood still trailing down his mouth. It took him a moment, but he finally got up. Slowly and almost pathetically he took another fighting stance. He spit some blood and gave Roch a smile.
"Come at me bro." Even if he was hurting the demon wasnt going to give up just yet.

He didn't want to. Roch felt like s**t just for what he'd done so far. But he came forward, feinting another hit, checking to see that the demon could still see what was coming toward him.

Roch came forward as did Charlie with a very strong, and very close range, head butt to the reapers gut. Roch wanted to know he could take care of him self right? Charlie was trying to prove he could. He was careful not to use his horns in the process. Still, that head butt alone was enough.
"Lets see... if hunters can put up with that!"

Roch grunted, hit in the stomach again. It hurt like a sonofawitch, but he was grinning. "Yeah," he wheezed. "That's a hell of a lot better," he added before slamming his guitar into the demon's side again. It wasn't as hard as it could have been, but it was harder than he really wanted it to be.
Then again, son of a witch that kid could headbutt! He was at the perfect height to hit straight into the solar plexus.
