I'm either for jumping in during the middle of the war or the beginning.
If we start at the beginning, we get to slowly develop characters, let them get to know one another, and we can play out the whole Nemesis thing in the beginning.
If we do it during the middle that wouldn't be bad either. The one thing that would have to be done would be getting relationships and alliances done beforehand, so those that want a team would meet up with them in the RP rightaway since they'd most likely already be travelling with them. By during the middle of the war we could either do it AFTER the Nemesis thing, or somewhere a few weeks or so after the Nemesis thing. I think doing it AFTER the Nemesis issue would be the best. Like have the intro to the rp be like: Nemesis has just destroyed the entire city. Let's see what our senshi's do now as the youma and the biyotik senshi are unleashed on them. Or something like, but less cheesy. xD
I don't really want to do the war in the past. Why? Because I don't understand where we would start if we did the war in the past. I think it would be anticlimatic, if what is meant is to the have the war in the past, and be either in the midst of fixing up the city or just normal city life. During the war would be the most climactic.
This is Pearl btw.

This is Pearl btw. Well we could kind of have both if we do like a prolog or something. We could spend a few days having the sensh establishing realtiond during the war and then the next week we start after the war.

D: Like after the war as in when life is restored normally, or like when their fixing up the city? That's what I'm not sure of. I'm not sure what people mean by after the war. I can't remember how long the seasons are. But I think that half a season should be about the war and winning it, and the rest can be after the war. c:

The average season is 40 some odd episodes so a 50/50 split between war and after would be desient. There have also meen season that are nothing but war until the last episode when all is said and done.

I know, we're kind of doing something a little nutty with the season thing, but nutty is fun. cool Basically, a season ends depending on the plot. For this, the season ends when the war ends, basically. When that season ends, the mods and I will work on clearing out the roleplay forum and for two weeks we (as in everyone) will go over what we liked and disliked about the set-up, our plans for season 2, etc. etc. If we have inactive members, we will clear them out and just have people fill in their spots accordingly. We haven't reached that far yet so I'm not going to think too far ahead. For now, I'm just... focusing on season one. xd Touching territory further than that makes me really nervous.
At first, starting in the middle sounded like a good idea because we didn't have so much detail planted into the plot. With the way things are now, I think that it's important for everyone understand the plot and setting, especially because there are significant canon changes, have a TON of senshi, and have created a system for the roleplay that's not typical of these types of guilds.
I really do think that we need to start out at a time where instant action is not a necessity so that all members can adjust to how things work around here and really get a feel for what their "roleplaying experience" will be like. I think that for a lot of members, the confusion with posting limits, the backstory, the canon changes, the seasons, the main/side roleplays, etc. etc. will become overwhelming and confusing if they haven't been following the proposal threads in here (and I wouldn't be surprised if the majority have not been). We can't forge a sense of unity amongst characters when people don't even understand the plot, you know?
So, for those reasons, I've decided that yes, we will be officially starting at the beginning. Almost everyone agrees to this anyways, so it shouldn't be an issue. ^^ I'm going to lock this topic now.
