From a distance, he could see Mitsu running towards him. He quickened his pace, but really.. the next thing he knew was that she had literally pounced onto him. Catching her in surprise, he staggered back, but managed to not topple over. It was a good thing she was a pretty light girl and wasn't in her wolf form.
And for a moment or so, he was overwhelmed as she clung mercilessly to him, covering his face with kiss after kiss. He might have flailed a little too as well.
Shun actually couldn't help but smile a bit in his own way as he was trying to get his bearings.
"And I've missed you too," he said with a touch of amusement in his tone. The Reaper wrapped his arms around her tightly before managing to catch one of her kisses to return the gesture himself.

The kisses had come in quick fire succession, one after the other, until Shun finally caught her lips to give her a kiss of his own. It was then at her kiss lingered, one of her hands coming up to press against the side of his face as he held her firmly to him.
After a long moment Mitsu finally pulled back, the biggest smile on her face seeing that her reaper was home. "I missed you so much." Instead of moving to get down Mitsu wrapped her arms around his shoulders and neck, resting her head against his as she hugged him close.

Closing his eyes as he let that kiss linger, he felt that sort of warmth deep within that he had been missing the past few weeks. When she pulled back, he gazed into her eyes softly, glad to see her once more. To feel her again.
"It's good to be home," he whispered quietly before holding her for a little longer. Shun remained there for awhile before finally pulling back a little.
"By the way.. I have something for you," he said while motioning to the bag that hung over his shoulders. He had picked something up at the village before hopping onto the train to Halloweentown. It seemed like something she'd enjoy.

"Oh?" Mitsu hadn't expected anything she was just glad to have him back. She had been sure to keep the opal he had given her safe, it was even in her pocket at the moment, in a little bag she had sew together to keep it safe.
Finally letting him place her on her feet she looked at him curiously waiting to see what he had. It was comforting to know that while he was gone he had been thinking about her. She also wondered if he had found what he was looking for as far as answers.

Once he was able to, Shun removed the bag and opened it up. In the next moment, he pulled out something soft. It was a plush toy of a wolf. The Reaper recalled that she was a little distressed about losing her panda toy and all. While he didn't quite understand it, he figured it had been important to her.
"It's not the same but.. here you go."

Mitsu wasn't sure what Shun could have gotten her. Maybe a book or something along those lines? That's what she was used to getting as gifts. So when the first glimpse of the toy began to emerge from the bag Mitsu's eyes lit up like a child on their birthday.
Carefully her fingers gripped the plush, looking up at Shun in a questioning manner as if asking 'this is really for me?' When it was finally in her hands she held it close, looking at the plush with soft eyes. No, it wasn't the same, but it meant a lot to her in a different way.
"The panda was important to me....it was the last thing my parents gave me before they disappeared. I took it everywhere. It was like a good luck charm." Her smile turned a bit sad as she held the wolf plush closer. "I guess that luck finally ran out."
Smiling a bit more warmly she turned to the reaper before coming in close for a hug again. "Thank you, this means a lot to me." Pulling back a little she reached into her pocket. "I kept this safe like you asked." Pulling out the small bag she held it to the reaper to take. Inside he would find the opal with the orchid etched into it. "You promised you would come back for it." And she was so thankful he had kept his word.

Ah, that would explain why she was so attached to the panda. In a way, it was similar to the little gem that he had her hold onto.
"I see. I'm sorry you ended up losing it," he said quietly before hugging her in return. While it wouldn't replace the panda, he was happy to see her smile with his little gift. Shun then watched as she took out the small bag, taking it as she handed it over.
"Thank you," the Reaper said softly before a slightly amused look hit his eyes, "And of course I'd come back. You can't get rid of me that easily."

"It's okay. I have something else from someone who is also important to me." Mitsu smiled indicating the wolf plush as she took a step to his side and linked her arm with the reaper's. It made her think though, the only thing she really had left from her parents was the mask and it was currently in Mac's possession. Eventually, she would have to brave up and get it back.
Smiling warmly Mitsu leaned into Shun's arm as she started to head back into the school. "I am very glad you came back. How did your trip go? Did you find what you were looking for?"

There was a bit of hesitation from the Reaper as he thought on the questions. Letting out a sigh, he shrugged and walked along with Mitsu.
"It could have been better. I didn't really find anything I didn't already know," he murmured, "But it did give me some time to think I suppose."

Mitsu looked curious, as she tilted her head up to stare at the reaper. "Oh? Well, sometimes it takes someone else to tell you for you to really believe what you already know." Mitsu smiled.
Giving his arm a light tug she pulled him toward the reaper dorms. "Bent and the others will be glad to see you. Let's get you back and you can tell me more about your trip." She was excited to spend time with him again. There was a lot of catching up to do since he had been away.
