"Hug please," She muttered softly, and before Jericho could answer, launched herself at the boil for a hug, although he was released almost as quickly as he was released, "Caelius took myself and the three snots with me out in one strike. They called us specimens... Those lucky enough to be incompatible to become a weapon were killed - purged - using the same machine."
It seemed like the better of the two evils.
"The scarelings we saw in place of the fog after we died on that island," She frowned, "I wonder if... They were victims." There were so many of them...

The hug came by like a blur. Before Jericho could even return the gesture, she had already released him. He furrowed his brow at the information given before he felt a chill run down his spine. The dragon remembered those scarelings in the fog. There wasn't any way he could forget them.
"It seems like they've taken many lives if that's the case..."
How horrible it would be to be stuck in that aether for all eternity? It didn't look like they were able to move anywhere there. It sounded like a horrible fate to him.

"Would you rather be a weapon, or be stuck like that, in limbo, forever?" Both options sounded equally bad to her, but to be turned into a weapon would mean turning against your friends, "And they did. I'm sure of it." She sounded agitated, turning to the pin press to make another pin, perhaps using more force than was required when pressing the pin.
"And I never knew humans, of all things, would be causing us so much grief," She sighed, putting the completed pin aside as she started on another, "I thought that we were supposed to be the ones scaring them."

Quite frankly, Jericho didn't have an answer to that question. He didn't know which of the two options was worse. Before he thought that straight up death would be more preferable, but that might not be the case if he'd get stuck in that fog until the end of time.
"Yeah no kidding... But I mean, it's not really fair. We scare them but we aren't really allowed to kill them. And here they are trying to eliminate us," he sighed.
"You'd think they have some bigger problems outside of some monsters under the bed or whatever."

"To be honest, I think we were aiming to kill them," She had to chuckle at that, although it was honestly a half-hearted chuckle, "In our defense, they attacked us first... Of course we had to fight back! We almost killed one of them after they took Lattice down, but he got away and then Caelius interfered... I think I'm actually getting better at controlling my FEAR."
She looked down at the small pile of pins that she had made so far before sighing, turning to lean against the edge of the desk, "I have to agree... I wonder if all humans are like that..."

They almost managed to kill one of them? Nice. Jericho figured if any humans deserved to be killed it was these hunters. Though, the one known as Caelius.. they would have to be careful of him. It was pretty obvious the guy was incredibly powerful.
"It's hard to say. Maybe they are.. maybe they aren't. Maybe this is a question we should ask Savage sometime."
The human studies teach had to know the answer, right?

"... I actually think that asking Professor Savage would lead to a lecture about boats," She replied, raising an eyebrow, "But it never hurts to try! I'm really not sure who else we can ask..." Especially after that "retirement" ceremony. They seemed to be bent on just covering up the incident.

That was.. a pretty good point. About the boats at least. Sometimes Jericho had to wonder just how much of the human world Savage knew about.. outside of boats.
"We don't have to mention the hunters to her. We can just ask what they're like..." he said before pausing, "Actually, the horsemen probably know too. They've spent a lot of time in their world didn't they?"
That was what he had heard in the very least.

"Yes, actually. Three of them. Invictus came by Riley's booth during campaigns to talk to her and I spoke to him briefly then. And before the field trip, I went to speak with Cymbelline and Aisa to try and find out more about the hunters," he replied before scratching his head.
"Famine is uh... a little out there. Though I think they all are to an extent."

"I managed to see one of them in action on the final battle field during the field trip," She nodded, thinking back to her own experiences with them during the field trip, not that she actually spoke to any of them, "She was a little... Uh, edgy. Gave the hunters a bit of trouble though!" Then again, she wasn't paying that much attention to what was happening with the horsemen.
"Well... We only spent a few days on the island and we ended up seeing things and hearing voices," She frowned, "If they were there for, as you had said, a long time... I can imagine why they would be a little... Uh, out there... Anyway, did you manage to find out anything from them?"

It must have been something, to get to see one of the horsemen in action. They were supposed to be incredibly powerful and whatnot. A part of Jericho was envious. Then again... he did kind of get to see Invi fight... though he was on the 'wrong' side at the time.
"Ah yeah... I can't really blame them from being a little cuckoo in that case," he said before shrugging, "And I kinda did. But it was hard getting info out of them. I think the things I learned then are stuff you guys know now anyway."

"I see..." She muttered before nodding, "It really opened our eyes at least... I think I understand what mister Arel meant by we're not really safe here in school either." She paused briefly.
"Well! If that is all, I should be on my way," She took one last glance at the pin press before grabbing Jericho for another hug, this time lingering and looking up at him with a grin, "It was nice seeing you again! It's been a while... We should talk about something less depressing next time."

"Yeah sure thing. Maybe we could get some eyescream or go to the scarecade too," Jericho offered while giving a sort of half hug in return. Smiling warmly, he nodded to her and added, "Take care. And good luck with the cloaks."
Letting out a sigh, he looked over at the pin press. He had a lot of work to do. That was for sure.

"That would be really nice actually," She could use some fun and games after they were done with their little project, especially since it was a pretty emotional thing for many of them, "Good luck to you too." She seemed considerably happier when Jericho hugged her back.
"See you!" She showed herself out the door, closing it behind her; there was a lot of work left to do...
