"Information," Barth said, very simply. There was a creak as the door started to close behind her, "and I don't think I will."

Riley felt just the slightest twinge of anxiety, but she let it pass. This was Barth, after all. He wasn't going to do.. anything.
Why offer it if you refuse to give it to me? What is holding you back? She reached to one of her wrists with the opposite hand, and one of her fingers curled around a vine, or rather let it curl around her finger. Is there something you want from me?

"Neither of us are very good at sharing," Barth said. The door, much like the furniture and the ceiling and much of the room, began to disappear underneath the thorns. There was, however, a still empty and open path, leading towards what looked like the couch. Barth made his way backwards again, none of his steps hurried.
"Your turn. Can you think of something I might want?"

Riley let him lead her, infinitely curious as to where this was leading. If nothing else, Barth always seemed to have a higher thought process than most - and plans that moved him into play when he was interested. The question, of course, was what he was interested in.
What does Barth want. She murmured innocently. A nap? A hug? A kiss? Oh, sorry, can't help you there. She snickered. Or maybe my friend Barth wants something more.. out of reach. Hmm. She made a face like she was really trying to think hard on the subject. What could be out of reach for a demon with such a diverse reach as this..? The finger curling with a vine tugged playfully.
Right now, she was playing very carefully dumb. I can't imagine. Do tell me, Barth. As you say, our specialty is in fulfilling desires.

As she followed, the path closed behind her. Christof had experienced it earlier. The thorns stretched ceiling to floor.
"You think so? Naps and hugs?" Barth repeated, waiting until Riley had made her way over and arranging himself so he was leaning forward over the back of the couch, "At the moment, I'd like to see you try to get back to the door."

Barth had trapped Riley in this room. This was all becoming rather strange for her tastes. Her curiosity could only last so long before she started to become bored and/or annoyed.
Ah, but why would I want to do that? She knelt down on the couch, hopping up so she was still face to face with him. We're having such a delightfully wicked conversation. Why don't we just stay here for a bit and discuss our mutual benefits? Come sit with me. She patted the couch beside her.

"Because the space where the couch is won't be there much longer," Barth said, and the thorns climbed up the back of the couch and towards the ceiling, severing the very thin space between them, "or at least will be significantly smaller. But you're welcome to wait. In fact, the only thing I might like more than seeing you make your way back to the door is for you to stay on the couch for a while."

It was around this point that Riley's patience snapped. She could only have fun with someone for so long before it felt like a waste of time. She actually sat down on the couch, lifted her legs up to rest on the arm cushion, and disappeared from his view.
Fine, you wretched tease. Do whatever it is you think you're going to do to me, and then be done with it. I thought we were going to talk about important things here, but all you seem to be interested in doing is wrapping your vines around me and jerking me around.
Her eyes unfocused for a brief second, before they were sharp and clear once more. She really had hoped for something more interesting to come of this impromptu meeting of minds.

"Yes," Barth said, "That's right. ...Do to you? I'm going to take a nap."
Tell me if you need anything, Barth added, no longer visible.

Barth was entirely no fun. She was disappointed beyond repair. She would remember this for next time.
Oh. Help. Help. I have been captured by the evil demon. Her voice was so monotone, that the sarcasm was thick. Please. Someone. Help. Save me.
She just sat on the couch in disappointment and waited.
I am so helpless and alone. When will my prince come and save me. Woe. Woe is me. Woe.
.. Well now she was just being annoying.

Mistress? The thought was weak, but growing stronger as the owner grew closer, Are... what are you... are you alright?? What is- It cut off as there was the distant sound of the door juggled open only to get wedged in thorns. Master?? "Hurrrrmmm!" The cry of alarm seemed to completely miss the thick sarcasm, and suddenly the tangle of branches shuddered as something started to tear it's way through.

Barth had lied entirely about the nap, in the hope that if Riley started to go for something other than the door, it would be his bed, which he was not currently using. He had gone back to his schematics for the remote locking mechanism device, which is what he had been doing before Riley had knocked.
When there finally was a crunching, the crunching was coming from the wrong direction, and the Hurrrmmm...
Barth put his pencil down irritably.
The thorns peeled back, making a neat path for Christof from the door to the couch, where Riley was waiting.

Riley was lying on the couch like a pro.
Hello, Prince Christof. She looked up at him with a smug expression. I am too tired from being ravaged by the evil demon. Will you carry me out?

Christof wobbled in place, fists still raised defensively and looked startled at what unfolded on the couch. Mismatched eyes shot from the prone form of Riley sprawled over the plush furniture, to the walls of thorns entangling around them.
If he had been able, his mouth would have opened, closed, opened again, and then after some thought, closed again.
A series of possible scenarios that could have resulted in what he was seeing flashed through his mind and he immediately wished they hadn't.
As it stood, he gave a weak, purely baffled "..... hommmm?"

The path stayed open. Barth did not comment.
