"No need to apologize, it'll heal okay. Please do not forget that I am a monster - I am bit different from you." She meant it in as she healed faster and generally took damage more, but it was a little silly for her to think that she was anything but a monster. It was hard to call a barely three-foot covered in quills GREEN individual anything else.
Still, she managed to smack him back with the ball after a successful dodge. Well done!

That was true. Monsters were a little tougher, he supposed. However, it was easy to forget when the ghoul was so small. Mot took another hit, and threw the ball back, this time trying not to hold back. This game was really fun. hard to believe it was a battle at all. There was no way he could point a gun at this little one. No way, no how.
"You said you were gone for a long time? Where'd you go?" He asked curiously. Maybe she went home?

"Oh, I went home. I got very homesick and so I went and stayed for a while - I should not have but I did even during the school year. So many changes when I've come back, it's a bit sad."
People had moved into their second years and she was still in her first. Being distracted wasn't a good thing and then she got hit with the ball, a bit hard. She managed to catch it and throw it back, listening to the thunk of impact.

"That must be tough on you. I can't imagine being so out of touch." He was planning to take a trip home soon. Though he doubted he'd stay more than a week. He preferred being at school. It was so much more social.
He caught the ball with small grunt, chucking it back toward Chuppi.

Chuppi dodge the ball and returned the throw quickly, her mind thinking on how she was indeed so out of touch. All of her friends had moved on and left her behind, even the ones she barely knew, and . . . . was it even worth trying to catch up to them?
Thinking too hard on it would get her hit again, so she snapped to her attention and waited for the ball to be returned.

Poor Chuppi, she seemed a bit dejected just then. Well, there wasn't much he could say, so he continued to play the game. Maybe the activity would make her feel better.

"Meeting new people, like how I met you?" Meeting Mot hadn't been such a hard meet to do, he actually stumbled on her and all, but the monster wasn't so sure she could just do things like this with practically anyone. Certain situations had to call for her to take action on spur of the moment, but otherwise she tended to try and shy away.
When she had the ball back in her hand she gave it a throw and flinched as it impacted, somehow having thrown it much harder than she wanted to. "Lo siento, Mot. Esta bien? You okay?"

Suddenly, the ball smacked him in the face. His still burned, injured face. Mot yelped, catching the ball before it fell, using it to shield the pained expression he had. "A-ah..f-fine! I'm okay! No worries!"
I will not cryyyy.... owwie!
Mot composed himself, and tossed the ball back at Chuppi.
However, he was seeing stars, and missed completely.

"Ay dios mio! Mot! Lo siento!" She hadn't thought about how painful it would have been to be hit in the face, not to mention her new friend was currently injured and doing this from the kindness of his heart, and the little monster all but threw the ball to the side as she debated waddling over to him and checking his injuries.
"We can stop if you need to, I didn't mean to hurt you more. Please don't be mad or hate me."

The pain! The paaaaain!
"No. Not mad." Mot said with a weary smile. "Never mad. Aha. Sorry!" Why was he sorry? Mot just felt bad that Chuppi felt badly.
"Don't back down, Chuppi! You're doing so well!" Mot encouraged her. Even going so far as to move and pick up the discarded dodge ball. "I've still got some drive left in me."
The reaper jogged to the back of the gym, turning and throwing it toward Chuppi. "Keep at it!"

"We-well, only if you still feel like you can continue. Please do not hurt yourself it would make me sad to know I helped injure you." Chuppi took the mild hit from the ball and flung it back, her face nearly dropping as she found that it was another heavy blow. She was getting back into shape now, it wasn't so hard to move, and she was forgetting to control her strength when throwing.
Hopefully she wouldn't seriously injure Mot even though he said he wouldn't be mad. Wounding someone was not something she wanted to be doing.

"Okay, I promise." Mot smiled, Chuppi's concern making him feel the stronger need to keep calm. Honestly though, playing against a monster was great for his own training. However, he felt one more hit and he'd have to call it quits.

Perhaps it was because she could tell the level of his injuries by the smell of his blood, or perhaps it was because she'd been rattled, but either way Chuppi wasn't throwing like she had been before. Her balls were either missing entirely or harmlessly bouncing before reaching Mot, and the Chupacabra bit her lower lip with her fangs in an effort to hide her frustration.
She didn't want him to think she was going easy on him, even after she took a pretty decent hit in return from her previous miss, but the thought of someone having to be laid out in the hospital because of her was clearly causing distress.

Mot raised a brow as the ball came tumbling at his feet. This and the last throw had both been pathetic. Was she holding back. "Chuppi, it's okay! Don't worry. I'll be fine. This training is for you." Wow, now he knew how Hel felt when he refused to go all out. He'd have to note this for their next training session.
Still, maybe if he tried to look happier, then she would feel more like this was a game. "Catch this one~."
