Hel couldn’t even tease him about blushing right now.
Didn’t he see that he’d done the best he could, the most he could at the time? She sure hoped so! She wasn’t sure how to spell it out for him any other way! She kept her hands on his knees until he started to relax, and once he spoke up, she relaxed as well. Good. He understood now! The reaper’s hands left his knees and she leaned back against the wall now, resting her hands on her own knees. “No need to thank me, Mot.” She murmured, staring down at her hands briefly.
Hmm…dare she ask what else he might want to talk about? Things seemed to be…going pretty well so far. “…Ah…I apologize though…I didn’t mean to interrupt you…was there….anything else you needed to talk about?”

Anything else? Mot lowered his gaze. He wanted to find out her feelings, but he didn't understand yet what Lizzy meant by it at all. And he wasn't allowed to say that Lizzy had sent him.
The reaper furrowed his brows. "So.. that's the only reason you were mad at me? It had nothing to do with Lizzy? I thought maybe you didn't like her."

Oh…oops. More lying and denying ahoy!
Hel gave a slow nod of her head. “…That is the only reason…” She was lying like a rug. Oh, so bad. Her brows furrowed though as he brought up Lizzy, and she bit her bottom lip briefly when he said he thought she didn’t like the spider demoness. “…Nothing to do with Lizzy.” She agreed, her tone going soft at the end, and she grimaced a bit. Oh dear Sally, don’t give out on her, she could do this! “You thought I didn’t like her? That’s ridiculous, Mot. She is my friend.” Sure…she may have been feeling jealous of the spider demoness…but she did not hate her, no. Hel did not hate Lizzy. Lizzy was the only one who even bothered to come check up on her after that outburst.

"Oh.." That was all. It was silly to think otherwise, really. Why? Why did it feel like she was hiding something? Perhaps his imagination ran away with him, but he almost felt like there was something he was missing. Why was it that he felt disappointed?
"That's good." She wasn't mad at Lizzy. Mot could relay that back. She had nothing to worry about after all. Lizzy was just being silly.
Now what? Was that really all? "Well.. I feel pretty stupid now." He admitted, scratching his neck.
His conversation with Roch came back to him, as well as some strange messages on Groanspring. Suddenly there was a fire under Mot. Right.. Roch seemed like.. he might go after Hel.. did.. did he really.. "Uh.. so.. Roch.." He started, seeming nervous. "Has he talked to you lately?"

Did….did she really just deny her way through that conversation? Mot wasn’t the only one feeling disappointed. It was mixed feelings, really. Hel was happy because her feelings didn’t seem to be in question anymore…but she was disappointed because Mot had accepted her reasoning without much hesitation. Such an odd mix of emotions it was…
“…Heh…don’t feel stupid friend…it’s good to communicate, right?” What a hypocrite she was! Terrible.
As the topic suddenly shifted to Roch though, the reaper blinked. Apparently they were done talking about the trip and Lizzy now…which was a okay, but wait…why did Mot seem nervous? “Uh, yes…he has, I also spent time with him just the other day…and then I spoke to him on Groanspring…why? Is everything alright?” Did Mot sound nervous because something happened to him? She saw him pretty recently, and he seemed to be doing rather well! Did something happen she wasn’t aware of?

Roch wasn't kidding. So then.. when he wanted to see other ghouls.. was Hel one of them? More importantly, did she fancy him too? Mot felt possessive, like he wanted Hel to only be nice to him. But.. that was stupid. Those Groanspring messages.. the cheesy pickup lines.. were they.. pertaining to something?
"I guess.. yeah, it's.. fine." No it wasn't. But he was just being selfish. Hel could have anyone she wanted as a friend. And if she just so happened to fall for someone, he should be happy? Then how come he wasn't?
Mot felt very warm suddenly. He felt red in the face. Anger? No.. maybe he was just frustrated. "He said he wanted to so.. well..." Mot rubbed his face with his hands. "Sorry, it's nothing. He's fun right? You had a good time?"

Now…Mot was acting funny. Huh. Hel’s brows furrowed as she stared at him speculatively. His uncertain response just had her wondering more. “Oh, I see…” She trailed off as she watched him rub his face.
“…Uh…yes! His company is very enjoyable, very easygoing and filled with humor as well…spontaneous too, might I add.” Hel paused, her lips quirking in amusement as she recalled their day. “…He wanted advice on how to flirt…from me of all beings…heh. He then took me on a pretend date to the maul!” Hel shook her head, still amused. It had been rather silly…but humorous. “You know, I thought boils paying for things was something only you did…” She reached and poked one of his knees affectionately. “Until he bought the pizza for us to eat…you boils are silly. We then ended the time at the arcade…I think he forget it was a pretend date…which is fine…it had been rather silly, anyways.” Hel chuckled, and then paused, staring up at the cowboil.
“…Are you alright, Mot? Are the burns bothering you?”

A pretend date? From the sounds of things, Hel seemed to like him. She seemed to enjoy their time quite a bit. So it was true then. Roch was trying to court her. It was.. good. Yes. Roch would do the things a proper boilfriend could. Just like Mac could do those things for Lizzy. Mot.. he wasn't..
Luckily, Hel had given mot a scape goat for his behavior. "Y-yeah.. yeah they kind of hurt.." Mot muttered. It was true enough, they continued to hurt. So it wasn't a lie. Not outright.
He'd just pretend he wasn't feeling the way he was. The feelings that he held for Hel and Lizzy.. so similar.. what kind of filthy person was he?

Hel was musing to herself quietly. “…Yes…” She finally said after a moment. “It was a good time…full of laughs but…” She glanced off to the side, and then looked back at Mot and grinned lightly. “I still laugh the hardest when I’m with you!” Pranking, betting, trying to outdo each other to get the door, nudging each other when they’re on HIM…yep, she laughed the most and the hardest when active in shenanigans with Mot. She smiled fondly at the thoughts before her expression shifted into one of concern.
“Ah…would you like some more pain killers, friend? I have some more in my room…!”

A warm feeling was felt inside Mot's heart. That horrible bitter feeling swept under the rug. He smiled fondly, shifting. "Oh.." Still, Roch was trying to get over Xiu, and here Mot was almost thinking of ruining it. "Well.. a few more pretend dates and I'm sure he'll up the crazy level. Oh, but don't let him too far off a leash. He gets himself into trouble." Wait.. this wasn't helping him.
Her offer was met with a light shake of his head. "No, it's not too bad. Just annoying. And itchy."

The reaper wrinkled her nose and made a small frown at his comment. “One pretend date was good enough, thank you! I just wanted to help a friend out…not sure if I did…but ah…” Hel rolled her shoulders, tilting her head at the grim reaper. “Uh…why would I have him on a leash, Mot?” The valkyrie asked. “If I’m going to put anyone on a leash, it’d be you.” Hel teased, waggling a finger at him.
“…Ah…if you’re sure…” No painkillers then. “Do you have aloe, friend? For the burns…?”

One was enough Oh so.. did Roch irritate her? No, he just wasn't her type! Or really, Mot was just misunderstanding the whole situation. Hm.. maybe he was getting defensive over nothing. Well... good! Hel would stay as Mot's best friend. Yes.
....He was being rediculous, and he knew it.
"Me?! I'm nowhere near as reckless as Roch!" Mot pouted, crossing his arms. "Why would I need a leash?" Honestly!
"Aloe?" He parroted, shaking his head. "I've just been using cold damp cloths."

Hel laughed at Mot’s pout. Ah…this was more like it. “So that I can keep an even better eye on you of course!” The reaper informed oh so helpfully.
The next thing Mot would hear would be the sound of Hel’s palm smacking her forehead. “You haven’t been using aloe!?” She wailed, the ghoul then immediately leapt up to her feet, towering over the sitting reaper. She placed a fair hand on his head and ruffled his hair vigorously in her frustration. “We’re going to my room, now.”

Better eye on him? Mot hummed suspiciously, staring at Hel with an increduclous lidded gaze and a raised eyebrow. Strange.
He was snapped from his gaze as he stared up at the ghoul. What? Was he doing it wrong? He'd never taken care of burns before! How was he supposed to know? "Uh, okay?" He relented, getting himself up from the ground. "I thought aloe was just some kind of ghouly moisturizer thing.."

The reaper paused, staring down at Mot with a raised brow. “What’s with that look?” She hummed back at him suspiciously in return.
Hel groaned. “Mot. You’re hopeless when it comes to caring for yourself!” The valkyrie reached out and grabbed his wrist, and started to tug him back inside, eager to start applying some aloe to those burns right away. “Aloe is wonderful for burns. It sooths the skin and helps it heal. I can’t believe you haven’t been using any…” She muttered as she started to stomp up the stairs with the cowboil in tow.
