For a moment, Jericho stared at Riyo. She sounded like she was experienced in terms of that. He doubted she had any in her room but who was to say what it was like at her home?
"Well.. if you say so," he said with a touch of concern in his voice. It almost sounded like she was the type prone to 'drink her problems away' which wasn't all that healthy.
"And it depends on the people you're with and the type of relationship it is. Granted, if people get into your business, it's probably because they care for one reason or another. If it's a friend it's likely because they care about you. As far as personal space goes, well... some people are more touchy feely than others."

"That's... What I worry about..."
It was something she admitted reluctantly. "That they'll care about me."
Her thumbs twiddled in her lap as her weary eyes skimmed the clean table, searching out imperfections. "I don't... Want people to worry about me, honestly." Her ears folded back at her own words. "Because... They would find that there are many things to worry about as far as I'm concerned. Admittedly Jericho, I have a lot of problems. I have many, many problems. None of them I particularly want to deal with, moreover for someone else to try and deal for me."

That was not quite what he expected. The dragon took a moment to think about what she said, glancing over towards the window as a number of things went on through his mind. It was a little hard for him to relate to what she said, so he was going to try and be careful with his words.
"Riyo, everyone has issues. Usually... the number of issues is not small. Some of the problems are bigger than others but they're still there. There aren't many people out there who can tackle all their problems on their own too. In fact.. I don't think there are any."
Riley would probably object to this statement. But it was something he stood by. He was aware that the mindflayers were incredibly independent on their own strengths, but even they took minions and thralls and the like to help get their deeds done. Not to mention he wasn't currently dealing with an Illithid here.

Riyo knew Jericho was right. Everyone had their problems, but just like everyone else, her problems always looked giant in comparison to that.
"Yeah, but-" It wouldn't be worth it.
For anyone to try and help her...
Because.. What was she besides a wretch?
"Ah... I think that's enough of unimportant subjects." She mumbled and laughed. It was a fake laugh, but a laugh nonetheless, right? That meant everything was alright, right?
"Oh. For any future... encounters you might have." Riyo's face grew serious for a moment. "I don't know if you already know this or not... But in order to defeat those hunters, you must disarm them. With their weapons gone, they are nothing but human." The ghoul quoted the horseman they'd run into.
"And if I were you, I wouldn't hesitate to kill... Unless you're interested in a fate worse than death."

The look on Jericho's face darkened a bit as Riyo tried to dismiss the subject. Even with the laugh, he wasn't exactly persuaded. This was still bothering her. He could tell that much.
"It's not as unimportant as you think.." he said quietly.
Looking up again at the mention of hunters, he made sure to keep that in mind. In general it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to get those weapons away from them. They drained FEAR after all. And they were rather.. dangerous to deal with too alone as he recalled some of the details of Red's death.
It was chilling.
"Right. Also.. I've been told to definitely try to kill the one known as Dr. H on sight," he tossed back, recalling what Nox said. It didn't help that they didn't really know what this guy looked like, but once they found out...

The feline did her best to disregard Jericho's comment on the subject she wanted to think about, though part of her wanted to ask just why.
"... Dr. H?" She repeated, the name ringing a bell. Suddenly, Riyo's face became very grim.
"I think..." The ghoul started, her arms subconsciously wrapping around her. "That was the one who killed the soul harvester... In which case... I-I don't agree." Her voice dropped down lower as she thought back to the gruesome sight. "Jericho. If you see the false reaper with a whip... I'd encourage you to run. I know that might be hard for you, but.. There was something very upsetting about him." And it wasn't just the fact that he'd practically whipped her top off when she tried to sneak into the tent.

Now Jericho was a bit confused on the matter. Nox had told him and a few others to avoid most hunters but to kill the Doctor on sight. Riyo here was telling him the exact opposite. It made things a little more complicated to say in the very least.
"I see... well either way I guess I'll be looking out for the guy with a whip then," he said a little grimly, "Besides... if he's out of the picture then that should help out our side quite a bit right?"

Riyo's frown appeared to grow when Jericho started talking about getting points for their side.
"Yeah, but... There needs to be a team left after he's gone, too." The feline pointed out, unwrapping her arms to polish off her tea. Riyo had never been little miss sunshine, but it was obvious the whole situation knocked her down a few pegs as far as confidence went. "Just... If you end up being alone with him, don't be a hero. If this field trip has proven anything... It's that death can be more than just an inconvenience..."

Letting out a sigh, Jericho nodded before picking his teacup back up to finish off what was left inside.
"I still can't quite believe that she's gone.." he murmured quietly as he set the cup back down. It just seemed.. strange that one of their strongest wasn't going to be coming back to them. Ever again. But, he supposed it was better than her becoming one of those weapons.
A part of him had to wonder if there was some sort of reversal process as well.

Riyo watched Jericho silently after he murmured what many people had already said. "... Yeah." The ghoul sighed, standing back up and taking the now empty teacups to the sink. "I'm sorry... If she meant something to you. I'd never met her prior to this except in passing..." No sense in pretending Riyo was deeply upset by the loss of Red. The only thing she was really upset about was... The fact that such a thing could happen.
As the water ran over the cups, she added "At the very least, she's not stuck in one of those weapons." Just like Jericho had thought. "I suppose that's not much of a bright side, though..." Riyo had never been good at looking towards the bright side. It just wasn't her, anyways.
"Well. I'm sure you've heard everything else from other people... So if you'd like to leave feel free."

"I didn't know her too well, but I did take one of her classes and had to deal with her a couple of other times," he said. The other times usually involved trouble in one way or another, really. Even so, having this happen was just a painful reminder that they weren't as immortal as they originally seemed. There was a way to go and never come back.
"But yeah, I hear ya. She isn't going to be forced against us against her will," Jericho agreed with a weak smile.
Letting out a small sigh, he nodded to her and slowly got up onto his feet.
"And alright. Hope you mend up soon," he said to her

Well, the dragon certainly knew their ex-professor better than she did...
Watching the remnants of any spec of tea wash away in the sink made the ghoul sigh. "Thanks Jericho." She said softly and looked over her shoulder to him leaving.
"You... Take care of yourself." And by that she meant don't be stupid and get yourself killed when it wasn't necessary.
