It took a moment for the cat to even notice something was wrong. However, when she finally noticed, the cat flopped to her side, then pushed herself up to her feet and attempted to find her way to Aster. The senshi might have been near by, but the task in itself was a bit trickier than usual. Silly sunflower stalks getting in the way!
Eventually finding her way out of the jungle, she finally saw how the girl was coping with everything. Padding slowly to the girl's side, she didn't quite give her the answer she was probably looking for. Instead, it was a concerned question.
"...what's the matter, Aster?" The cat stood herself on her hind legs and set her forepaws against the senshi's leg. Her eyes were trying to find the girl's blue ones, but it was still too awkward an angle to actually see such.

"I saw some girl, she was running through here," Aster explained. "Except, I wasn't me. I was...like, some dude, man." Her jargon wasn't being particularly helpful at explaining things in this situation. "I mean, I was man. Or, I think it was me. It was weird. But he was looking for the girl and she was lost, and then all I - or he, whatever - could feel was just...fear."

"Weeeeird..." The small animal lowered herself back into a sitting position so she could run a paw over the top of her head like she was scratching at it in thought. In her own bit of rambling, she did seemingly offer her own bits of information.
"...I know that senshi can remember things sometimes when they come back to their worlds... and... if I recall, the starseeds are the same as the past... but that is soooo weeeeeird..."
Not seeming nearly as stuck on the current subject as the senshi, manx stopped scratching her head and looked over the girl's lap. It looked like it was cozy. Without a second thought, the feline attempted to crawl into that little lap. "...so... how is that senshi thing going? Do you patrol a lot?"

Her hand shook a bit as she was asked about the Senshi side of her life. The conversation seemed to go from one anxiety topic to the next. She took a few deep breaths before starting to calm her nerves, not wanting to seem like too much of a basket case. After all, in her imagination, cats were a very judgmental species. And a cat that could speak? She did not want to hear those judgments!
"I was patrolling more before," she was honest. "I got my a** kicked pretty badly recently, and I've slowed down since. I'm trying to start up again, but I need to be a better fighter so I can defend myself. If I can't do that, how can I possibly defend others, you know?"

"Bet.... bet... ter........... terrrrrrrrrr......betterrrrrrrrr...errrr...."
It seemed as if the cat momentarily got stuck on the one word. She flattened herself like a pancake on the girl's lap before rolling over so she was an upside down kitty pancake, glancing backwards and up.
In a mellow manner, the feline offered her own opinion. "...I thiiiiink... it sounds like you are going in the right direction." It was simple logic which at the moment made things easier to understand, but simple logic frequently was effective logic.
Letting out what seemed like a relaxed sigh, she mentioned "...I... I think I can help nudge you in the right direction... um... henshin pen." A pause as she blinked and rubbed at her head with her paws. That was what it was called, right? "...can I see yours?"

"My henshin pen?" Aster rose a brow. Would that help her be a better fighter? She shrugged as she handed the green and golden yellow pen to the kitten. The cats seemed to love these pens, as the first cat she had met was the one who had given it to her in the first place. "Not sure how that will help..."

The feline seemed to roll on top of the henshin pen once it was offered up. Almost like a mother hen, she seemed to nestle on top of it like she was warming up some eggs under her belly. It didn't seem like the manx was doing anything, but underneath her body a light seemed to emanate from the object.
The light dimmed gradually, and once such had happened, she rolled off of the object so she was laying next to the object with her belly to the air.
The henshin pen didn't quite look like how it had before the feline had lay down upon it. It was different.
"...um... henshin again... call out... um... what was it... oh, right! 'Aster Asteroid Power, Make-Up!'... that's a mouthful, huh?" ********* managed to giggle out a tiny snort of amusement.

"Aster Asteroid?" she snerked. "Aster Asteroid, Aster Asteroid." It sounded funny. But right, she was supposed to say something. She held up the Senshi pen as if she were henshining up - again, already in her fuku - and gave out the shout: "Aster Asteroid Power, Make-Up!" Her body glowed as she rose a foot off the ground, her long hair defying all kinds of gravity as her body spun rapidly, her fuku transforming around her body to take on a new form - her body pumping with new power as toes returned to the ground.  She was Super Sailor Aster now, more powerful than before. "Trippy," was all she had to say.

The guardian didn't budge from her spot, remaining laying on her back and watching.
And the first thing she said after the senshi had henshined into the form of a Super senshi was "You're upside down!" She let out a sound that almost was a tee hee and smiled, seeming content to leave the world upside down.

LizzyMoo I figured we can wrap it up here or in the next post or two? It didn't take Aster more than a few seconds to realize she had powered up to become a Super Senshi and as curious as she was to learn more about her new form, she also wanted to get back to the comfort of Earth. This may be her 'home planet' - or home asteroid - but she had a lot more adjusting to do to the idea of that. In fact, this place made her feel even more uncomfortable than her current discomfort back on Earth - which in itself was a weird relief. And now, with more power, she was ready to take on this discomfort head-on. "Let's get home, *********," Aster smiled picking up the cat and holding the henshin pen up, figuring the return-home instructions to be more or less the same as the route to get there. And in a beat, they vanished from asteroid Aster.
