Fantasy Moon The wanted sub-forums should be financed by more members than just the guild captain. This means there would be willingness to actually use it. I agree.

So far we have 2,062g out of the needed 2,500. That leaves 438g that we need to raise.

I bought jewelry so my own funds are now at 39 gold. This is so sad...
I have a feeling that I will bring perversion to this guild in the future. I got books through the campus library by the Marquis de Sade. I started reading Philosophy in the Boudoir while waiting for a friend to get out of class. He found me dying of laughter at the elegant way the perversions were phrased.

Be careful what you wish for! wink
Actually I don't particularly like having to read everything as dialogue in that book so I might switch to another or finish reading something I was working on earlier.

I totally vote for a fanfiction subforum! :WHEE: Would be the coolest. I also think we should change the Author/Title/Series one to something else, people can just post the things about the series that they want in the correct genre sub-forum. I worded that oddly, but you know what I mean, right?

For Sci-Fi, couldn't you just combine that with the Fantasy forum? off hand I wouldn't mind a Comedy forum, but that's probually sort of vague... so I voted Mystery

I would be in favor of doing that now, especially since the genres can overlap with some novels.

I'm just a book lover in general, but manga does dominate (But not by much!) my bookshelf at the moment so I'll go for Manga/ Comics.

I like the thought of both mystery and comics. I was thinking, though, couldn't various manga/comics be divided by what kinds of genre they represent? There are mystery comics (i.e., the police procederals of GCPD) and fantasy comics (the "magic princess" school of manga or Fables), and realistic comics (sports-related manga).

I chose science fiction because of the extensive selection of Star Wars and Star Trek books on my shelves.
Don't judge me. ninja
The idea of a manga-focused sub-forum seems... like some kind of cop-out. There are many guilds devoted to manga exclusively, but not many out there for the general love of books. It would be nice to have other genre of books represented in a forum and not the latest phase imported from Japan.
Ra, I sound like such a hypocrite because I own such an absurd amount of manga myself, but that's how I feel.
Although I had an idea that I was going to PM to you, Fairgrass, about reserving that sub-forum for guild events like anniversaries, book parties, etc. Meh, another genre would be better perhaps because we can always hold events in a single thread instead of a whole forum.

I was thinking the exact same thing, but I didn't want to say anything for the same reason sweatdrop
though I read (or at least used to) so much manga, it really just has a completely diffrent feel to it then a good book...

The manga options is quite popular. Perhaps it would be in the guild's best interest to simply be more open to people making threads about certain manga (is manga singular and plural? sweatdrop ). Much of our comics/manga discussion could go on in Authors/Titles/Series or Fantasy.
