Reina scowled fiercely as she saw the woman in the window. She started to move to chase when it stuck her. The woman's behavior was odd, she would not have purposely revealed herself unless she was trying to draw one or both of them away. Something fishy was going on here and Reina wasn't going to fall for it. she planted herself firmly by the door. Glancing back at the window where she had seen the woman " Shes playing with us." Reina muttered to Ed " she wants us to follow her, but if we leave to pursue her, then our post will be unguarded. that's what she wants"

Ed nodded his agreement. The puppy was good. Looks like she knew how to do more than just play fetch the bad guy. "You're right. And I think we need to keep these doors open. She might try to trigger the gas next. If the other officers are missing, she clearly has accomplices. We should stay here." Ed briefly regretted that they hadn't been issued gas masks. It would have made everything so much easier.

Cetus-One had some investigation to do. It started with precarious climb out the window since she had discarded her grapple in favor of her Pokemon instead. However, she had only relied on them for means of escape and nothing more. Crackling her knuckles, Cetus-One began her descent. She had thrown her heels ahead of her to the ground below and slowly inched down into the underbrush. With a silent rustle, she landed in the thickets and slipped on back her shoes. Interestingly, it was a surprise to see Willamina's room was just above the sapphire room. How curious.

As she scrambled through with hopes of not being spotted outside the room's window, Cetus-One tripped over something and clattered to the ground. So much for being secretive. What she had uncovered certainly caught her by surprise. It was that officer: Officer Wimple. He was alive still -- only knocked out. At least he was breathing. Victim number two, as he appeared, bothered Cetus-One more than anything. It was not because of his obtuse posture or his rather ugly expression. No -- it was because something was strapped to his waist and blinking red in a patient tick.

At once, Cetus-One panicked. She bounced up, kicked in a window, and yelled, "Get DOWN-!" in a coarse voice not of nurse Nora. It was than the western wing of the estate exploded. The force and fires ripped through the half of the building, tearing away wood and careening glass shards like bullets through the air. Cetus-One was blown back from the force and directly into the opposing wall. Her disguise was torn to shreds -- the wig unlatched from her head and sat a distance away smoldering and her ruffled dress was a heap of shreds to reveal her uniform beneath. A large wedge of glass had lodged itself into her torso and smaller pieces along the lengths of her arm. Thankfully, she worse a protective piece of black under her vest. The skirt was just added for a fashion statement. Her arms stung with pain from the little clear thorns that protruded her skin. The grey was only fire retardant, not bullet proof, so her arms sustained most of the explosion damage.

A lengths away, Cetus-Two yawned a little, drew in a breath, and watched the proceedings. Her plan to lure away the cops came to no avail so she had to resort to her other method. It sucked sacrificing that orange haired lad, he was pretty cute. Nevertheless, it was worth giving up one to take care of others. Hell, she even got lucky with possibly taking out her competition. Now getting the sapphire would be a piece of cake. She maneuvered into the opened section of the room with little care, stepping past the blown out sensors and to the case. It had not survived the blast, thankfully, so it made it must more easier to just wham the case with her fist and pull out the gem. It sparkled in her grip, untouched and gorgeous as ever. That was easier than she suspected.

Reina hand barely managed to throw herself to the ground before the bomb exploded. partially shielded by the wall, she had escaped any mortal injuries, but she had several glass shards embedded in various places She winced and forced herself to sit up. She winced at the pain the motion brought, she suspected she might have a few burns and bruises on top of everything else. she cast her gaze around, hoping that her partner had managed to get down in time as well. At this point in time she was more concerned with her and her partners well being over that of the jewels.

Ed heard a frantic voice shout "get down!" and was dropping before he had even processed the shout. His decent towards the floor was sped by the concussive force of an explosion behind him. After a few seconds, sense returned, and Ed took stock of himself.

Prickling on his back, and a burning line across the back of his scalp, told him that he had been hit by shrapnel of some sort. His legs seemed mostly all right, and he rather suspected the shrapnel had once been the window. With all the prickling on his back, Ed was very glad he had been wearing his bulletproof vest. Some glass had gotten partially through it, but that was to be expected. Kevlar wasn't meant to stop sharp force, or anything moving too much slower than a bullet. But it had slowed the glass down, and absorbed much of the force.

Having decided his own condition could be classified as 'a bit battered, but not seriously injured,' Ed looked around for the puppy. She was already up and looking around. Good, she seemed like a well-trained pup, he'd hate for anything to have happened to her.

"Dang. That's one way to get past the security system," Ed commented dryly, hauling himself to his feet. Turning, he saw that woman reaching for the sapphire. "Hey!"

"What-" came the nasty remark. However, this was not from the lips of Cetus-Two. It was from Cetus-One, who was slowly staggering herself to an upright, proper standing position. "are you doing with that?" She leveled herself on her knee as she winced from the glass splinters up and down her arm. "That's mine."

Cetus-Two turned to the copper first, than her competition, the fuzz, than the middle-aged woman who appeared too young to be her age. "Hmm?" she said airily, joggling the gem in her palm about like a walnut. "You want this?" A little grin stretched itself up onto her face as she held it within forefinger and thumb, dipped her head back, and opened her mouth wide.

"Don't do what I say and I'll let it go." Ah- she really wouldn't-? Right? "I'd do anything for Team Galactic, even swallow this stone here for praise. I'm sure its tasty."

It was quite obvious the mimicker was poking fun. Mm, well, this ticked Cetus-One off. A lot. Forget the pain coursing through her very body, it was now anger. The tears she shed from the glass was now dissipating into the air as steam. Bringing up her legs and hauling up an arm, she dashed forward with a fist ready to collide with the imposter's face. The quicker and agile Cetus-Two just took a step back from her linear path and smiled when the older grunt collided with the two officers. It was too comical.

Reina glared at the two. Great now there were two of them. Just one wasn't enough, no she had to be plagued by two of them. She briefly wondered what she had done in a past life to deserve this. She tensed as Cetus-two charged at Cetus one and gasped with surprise as the woman ended up colliding with her and ed.

"Oof!" Ed somehow ended up on the bottom of the pile, much to his squished displeasure. Thinking fast, he whipped out his handcuffs, and slapped on on the thief's wrist, and the other around his own. He was going to catch one of these thieves at least!

Cetus-two smiled and slowly began her descent elsewhere. It was quite nice weather for the day, wasn't it? Too bad she'd have to return to the heat of the desert sooner than expected. It was comforting staying amidst air conditioned rooms and snuggling up in a bed all day. Ah well. Her duties were done. She had no choice but to return.

Cetus gritted her teeth and forcefully flung herself from the two. She attempted another run at her impersonator but was yanked back instead with a handcuff closing around her wrist. "Arceus damn it!" she cried as she watched her doppelganger make a light dash away. "Let me go, let me go! That witch is going to get away, take this crap off me! Aargh!"

Reina scowled, they had one of the theifs now, but the other was escaping. " Stay here with suspect number one. i'm going to pursue suspect number two. " she said then took off after Cetus-two, determined to catch the woman.

Ed smiled. "She's such a good puppy," he told Cetus. "I didn't even have to tell her to fetch."
PostPosted: Mon Dec 05, 2011 9:36 pm

"Says you, you mutt." she growled. "Now get this thing off me before I deck your lights out." Eh, what was the use of arguing. With her strength, she attempted to tug Ed along with her upon the heels of Reina. Sure, if was tougher running with an opposing force . . . but she'd deal.

Cops and robbers wasn't a favorite of her childhood. She was more a Ducklet, Ducklett, Dunspurce kind of gal with Hide and Pikachu thrown into the mix. Running required too much effort as it did now. Turning on her pursuer, Cetus-two coiled her forefinger and thumb together, pressed it between her lips, and blew. A whistle echoed off into the distance followed by the whir of a chopper.

Tugging the fallow wig off, peeling off the contacts, and sliding a pair of glasses behind the poles of her ears, Cetus-two revealed herself to be Willamina Burgess walking and well. She smiled cynically at Reina as her teal braids whipped about from the oncoming air vehicle painted with a neon R. Team Rocket was back in town.

"Apologies, officer." she firmly stated under the noise. "Guess I'm taking my leave, I can't play with you anymore."

Reina's eyes widened as she saw it was Willamina, but she couldn't care less at that moment. Running quickly she launched herself at the girl trying to tackle then pin her. She paid no thought to the helicopter and who might be in it, all she wanted was to subdue this suspect. She had caused Reina no end of grief and she had even tried to blow them up!!
PostPosted: Wed Dec 07, 2011 12:50 pm

Ed raised an eyebrow as the girl tried to tug him along. "Bad girl. Sit. Stay." At 'sit,' he swiped a leg out to take hers out from under her. At 'stay,' he calmly sat down on the floor himself, becoming heavy dead-weight. He normally wasn't quite this bad with his dog comments, but he was amused by how annoyed she was by them. "Once we get you to the kennel, I think I'll go out for some pie. If you're a good girl, I'll bring you a treat," he told the thief, anticipating a furious response.

Cetus face-planted into the mangled ground and felt the air whiz out of her as if she was a whoopee cushion lacking the amusing wet fart. At the canine jests, she just sweat-dropped. Seriously? Sure, some people have interesting fetishes but come on, the fella is like, what, forty!

"I'm not a Growlithe, you mongrel!" Cetus barked beneath the weight of her lungs heaving. "I should remind you, I'm going to kick your a** when I- STOP WITH THE DOG JOKES."

Reina's attack, though stunningly maneuvered, was a tad bit too late. A roll of ladder swung down from the aerial vehicle and pulled Willamina up as she grappled on, leaving the officer to launch as nothing but quaint, afternoon air. Willamina kept that coy smile plastered and as the helicopter descended into the sky, she flicked down a manilla envelope that slapped lightly onto Reina's forehead. It was addressed, "User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show." in a shoddy penmanship recognizable to the officer's eyes. Only Wimple scribbled such ugly script. But why did Willamina have it? Whether the officer decided to take a look now or later was most certainly her choice, considering there was still the apprehended Galactic Grunt to deal with.
