Everyone has the right to there own oppinion and it is ignorance that some people may judge. Maybe some of those people had a bad experiance there and only saw the bad things not what the real Gaia community is about.
I dont really judge anyone since i have Split-personality and having conflicting judgements is so confusing lol so we just stopped it became alot eayer and helps me understand people more

Thread titled 'Abortion--a crying shame (HOF thread)' August 3rd, 2004, 01:07 PM Balder's Avatar Balder Online Over 3000 post club - Buddhist - More left than right Rep Power: 652 Rep Meter : Balder is a TruthSmacker known to all Reputation: 62129 Join Date: Feb 2004 Posts: 3,829 (4.31 posts per day) The graphic pictures are very effective at communicating the horror of abortion. I'm no longer a Christian, but abortion is not acceptable by Buddhist standards either. But I wonder about the selective thinking here. Many of the people here, I am guessing, while rightly outraged by the violence perpetrated against these innocent babies, will nevertheless support execution of homosexuals and possibly adulterers, will defend Biblical descriptions of the mass slaughter of pagan children as "necessary" and divinely ordained, and will not say a peep against the thousands of civilians who die in our war efforts abroad. If you are truly against harming precious, sentient life, then why the narrow scope? Why be so tightly and murderously focused on this one issue, and yet so noncommittal about these other instances of human violence and atrocity? I expect here all sorts of "conditions" to be offered, all sorts of contextual reasons why other sorts of human murder should be excused or defended (or at least ignored). But it seems hypocritical to me. Peace, Balder Though there are a lot of ludicrous right-winged people posting there, I hope everyone realizes that there are, in fact, some good arguments presented by some and some gay-positive views shown by certain members (as shown above). Over all, though, I really wish some of those threads hadn't the chance to see the light of day. We are, however, entitled to our own opinions. And I have no problem with any of them so long as they aren't turned into actions of the sort.

+the_pink_blueberry+ Quote: Poll: Should homosexuals be given the death penalty? eek I hate the internet. |Love me|
Should right-wing extremists be given the death penalty?
Those pigs have anti-Semitism in their forums. And I absolutely hate Bill O'Reilly, so the fact that they have a thread about him makes me angry.
"Do Homosexuals Really Want to Get Married?" I daresay that's why we want equal rights.
And the fact that one of them calls global warming "hype"...Don't they notice how dramatic the weather is getting?
And I wonder why they haven't read the study that shows that the majority of sex offenders and child molesters are heterosexual men.
I can't go on with these guys. If I continue, the damage to my IQ would be overwhelmingly noticeable.

I'd just like to say that "Satanic verses in the Qur'an" made me laugh. I'd also like to say that while I was reading some of the posts I noticed that while there were many narrow minded fools, there were also many open minded individuals who spoke up, as well.

My fiance's old church (she no longer goes) had a preacher (he was fired) that noted that muhammed may be been entirely influenced by the devil, as Muhammed, according to islamic tradition, did not know who was speaking to him upon the mountian where he went to pray, and asking his wife if it was the devil or a god, she replied "It must be God"... of course that is simplified and true to the point, but this particular preacher was trying to say that, she was wrong, and that like eve tempted by the apple, she too was tempted by the devil and forced muhammed to make a religion that was contrary to the teaching's of Jesus Christ, thus empowering the devil.
Funnily enough, this guy was fired for being an adultering thief (he stole about 15,000 in donation money from the church) and his wife left him.

I usaly am not bothered by anything I see or read on line. Videos of violent murders, news stories of violent child molesters and rapists, Images of someone who's been run over by a train and now exists as a puddle. None of those things bother me in the slightest, some of them I even find amusing. But when I was browsing that horrid board I came across a single post that I can say is one of the most horrid, vile and absolutely disgusting things I have ever read. Read this Link. how could someone have such total and utter hatred of another human being I don't know. yes the person in question was a murderer. But that is no way to talk about a human being. I think I've just run out of adjectives to describe this place.

I can say that sometimes I feel the death penalty is appropriate (usually I'm against it) but every time I see people celebrating the death of another human being...
It depresses me how they can't see how alike they are to the person being killed. We aren't in France during the French Revolution.
