already half done character revision.
basically, I'm keeping them name, the old Storm goes bye bye.
And I'm being awesome and saying my character was an ever so important behind the scenes you never got to see me kinda thing. woohoo

...Not sure yet. I have my character thread in a different tab and i've been going at it for an hour or so now.

Damn it all, I just noticed a flaw with the new system thanks to TRG!

basically she asked me to clarify about the relationship between talents, combat and abilities, and I told her that basically a talent can be related to anything, whether it's combat or a more general skill. Basically if your specialisation is "Cooking" you could be an Expert whilst you might otherwise be a Beginner in Archery.

This made me realise that unless I specify otherwise, people might try using their particular number of dice in combat and get an unfair advantage when technically they have no combat experience at all =/

So I think that I'm going to have to specify that unless you state otherwise, you're going to be a Beginner automatically in the area you don't specialise in.. if that makes sense. Like take Cressa for example, she's a good example since she can cast spells AND swordfight. I'll probably have to specify now that she's Master in Spellcasting, Advanced in Swordfighting, and then all other skills are just automatically Beginner.

*brain doing backflips* DIS IS TESTING MY POWERS OF COMPREHENSION. Is this sounding logical to you guys?

EDIT: Also let me state here that I'm still using titles like Spiritualism, Combat and Spellcasting because they reference the general areas of expertise, similar to how Art references all areas of the subject without any special emphasis on Painting or Drawing or whatever. So if your character is GENERALLY good at magic, they're an Adept at Spellcasting. If they're only really good at/interested in Pyromancy, however, then they might just be an Adept at Pyromancy... if you see what I mean. It all depends on the character. Sooo just use your common sense ^w^

;__; I hate oversights. I guess I should specify that NON-COMBAT RELATED SKILLS ARE NOT TO BE BLOODY USED IN COMBAT, you crazy peoples!

Though if we were being attacked it might just be hilarious to see a master chef beat a demon to a pulp with a frying pan. Common sense, though, people! Tailoring doesnt give you any startling advantages in a fighting situation!!

(I sometime sthink part of my problem making these things is I have to account for even the most basic lack of sense displayed by participants. IT DRIVES ME MAD THINKING OF ALL THE STUPID WAYS EVERYTHING COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG gonk )

And furthermore, since when did we ever make sense?

As much as I want to see demonspawn being beaten to a bloody pulp with cooking implements, I must agree that such things are best left undone. HOWEVER, it would be nice to see them able to make poisonous food as a 'gift' for foes.....or super-energizing food for allies.
