Actually, that's a bit of a funny little detail... when I pulled out the ring (but before I actually asked), her reaction was, and I quote word-for-word:
"Holy s**t!"

(she was beaming as she said it, then after the shock wore off, immediately tackle-glomped me)

AHAHA omg XDD I'm so pleased for you!! Are you planning on being engaged for very long? Do you/does your lady have any ideas about where the wedding's gonna be held/dresses/bridesmaids/decorations/food/cake/guest list/all the other trimmings??? HONEYMOON??? 8D
(sorry... I started off with my brain going "dont demand too many details" and then... yeah... ROFL)

@Mabo: Yeah, I'm rather pleased with how well that worked.
@Lorika: I'll try to answer all of those as best I can:
-Time engaged is going to be as long as necessary to get our logistics together (not worrying too much about it just yet)
-Location's likely gonna be in either MA, NY or VA, given that our family's spread out across those 3 states
-Most logistics are still undecided, though I have a feeling I know who at least two of her bridesmaids are going to be...
-We're probably going to do the honeymoon later... like after our student loans are paid down some (evil things...). We haven't discussed in depth though, that's just my guess.

The wedding itself is probably going to be limited to just immediate family and closest friends (since neither one of us wants a huge wedding), but we're likely to have a party or something later celebrating with the more extended groups (cousins, work friends, etc). If any of you were able, you'd be more than welcome to come to that.
Of course, that's not counting online celebratory stuff (which almost seems like it's happening already)
