"Uh... Would you like some help with it? I hope... I'm not weirding you out? You must think I'm an idiot."
Flo laughed a little. The boy had certainly been weirding her out for the last 15 minutes until... well. Her lady instinct was still telling her HE'S INTERESTED IN YOU but her head was telling her NOPE NO WAY HE'S JUST A NICE KID. She shoved all those thoughts out; stop thinking so much Flo.
"I did think you were an idiot..." she said frankly while pulling out all the files from the side to rearrange them, "and weird..." she gathered some of the files under one arm, walked towards him, and touched his arm with her free hand, "but you're very sweet too." She smiled kindly at him.
"Now, if you want to help, these are the As and the Bs, they should go on that shelf there..." She paused in the middle of passing him the files when she noticed his chest was still bare. She nodded towards his clothes.
"Put your clothes on first, or you'll really catch a cough."

"I did think you were an idiot..."
A weak laugh.
"and weird..."
An attempted smile.
"but you're very sweet too."
Complete radiance. So Juno hadn't completely failed so far. That was great news. His usual cheerful self returned in an instant, and it was only more fuel to the fire when Flo handed him some files to help her put away, which he took gladly. Of course he would love to do whatever it is she asked of him, if it meant spending more time with her in that little check-up nurse office.
"Put your clothes on first, or you'll really catch a cough."
"Oh right, I'm sure you don't want to be looking at my ghastly scar." Juno laughed at his own imperfect skin. He hadn't really considered the fact now that if he were ever to be intimate with another, that person would have to look at his horribly painful looking scar across his chest and shoulder. How uncomfortable that would be.
Perhaps Seline had been right...
Juno put the files down on the desk for a second while he put on his tank and jacket. It was better to just cover it up. Juno took the files up again and pranced his way over to the shelf, whistling a little jazzy tune and bouncing around as he placed the files where they ought to be.
"Do you normally have a lot of paper work and filing to do?" He inquired between his humming and whistling, tapping his foot here and there.

"Oh right, I'm sure you don't want to be looking at my ghastly scar."
Flo looked up from rearranging the rest of the files.
"Well..." she began slowly, choosing her next words carefully. "Its not the nicest thing to look at, but its also a reminder that you triumphed against a villain. You should be proud of it. Not everyone survives with wounds that large and live to tell the tale," she said kindly.
She was vaguely aware of Juno's humming and prancing around the room as she continued to separate the Gs from the Hs. He was... very excited about helping out.
"Do you normally have a lot of paper work and filing to do?"
"No... or rather, not paperwork of this kind, this checkup is a one time thing I'm doing for Drew. Same shelf," she added and handed him the Cs and Ds before she trotted to a different shelf with the Es to Gs.

Juno blew air out of his nose. "Haa, you really think so?" A smirk on his face, thoughts swimming around in his head. Her words weren't very helpful at all but he couldn't let her feel that. She was trying to be nice. But his question was rhetorical and his tone implied he didn't want an answer even though he outwardly was displaying his usual cheerful behavior. Though it had happened months ago, it was still a memory burned deeply into his mind. It seemed that nothing anyone could say would help him forgive himself.
He continued to hum and prance around as he put the files away.
"No... or rather, not paperwork of this kind, this checkup is a one time thing I'm doing for Drew. Same shelf,"
"Mm.. I see." Juno chuckled a little, remembering how he'd persuaded Drew was an amusing memory indeed. The prior scar discussion dissipating from his mind as he began to dance more, putting more umph into his steps. "Hey doctor, do you like to dance?" An innocent question. Depending on her answer, maybe he would ask her to go one day. But. He severely doubted this possibility. She was so stern and so precise in her manner that she couldn't possibly indulge in a pastime such as dancing.

"Haa, you really think so?"
Flo hmm'd in reply, not really noticing his smirk as she filed away the Ls to Os. His chuckle at her answer to his paperwork question did get her attention though. Did she say something funny...? Maybe she did? He was suddenly dancing with a lot more enthusiasm.
"Hey doctor, do you like to dance?"
Flo blinked. Of all the questions she could anticipate...
"I... don't dislike it. It can be enjoyable with the right mood and partner, so... yes. It depends, I suppose." She paused in the middle of her filing, tilting her head to the side as she watched him pull a couple of moves.
"You enjoy dancing a lot, don't you?"

"What about dancing with me?" Juno smiled boyishly and innocently at the hopes of having Dr. Flo as a brief dance partner, even in this tiny office. Maybe that was all the better? Perhaps he was too forward, but he was also perhaps too naive to think that at the moment. Having a crush made him quite unaware of social etiquette.
"You enjoy dancing a lot, don't you?"
"Yeah..." Juno chuckled at his own obvious idiocy of dancing to no music. "It's a good stress reliever." He shrugged. "Would you like to go dancing some time? I know a few good places." It was a sheepish attempt at asking her out, but since the opportunity presented itself... Why ever not? She would probably say no anyway.... Sigh. Why would she have interest in a youngster like him? She was older anyway. "Though I'm not sure you'd be interested in that scene, you don't look the type." He added with a smirk and a small laugh, perhaps a bit teasingly.

"What about dancing with me?"
If someone other than this rather pleasant young man had asked, Flo would've given them the cold shoulder with immediate effect; such Hack-like behaviour was quite unacceptable for a first time meeting, by her standards at any rate. As it was however, she was in a pretty good mood after finishing that dratted list of kids to check up, and so she simply smiled and decided to humour the boy.
"Perhaps, depends if you dance well."
And then he was asking about dancing some time. Was this... a date...? No, of course not, stop flattering yourself Flo, he was just asking as a colleague.
"It can be a good stress reliever, but dancing is definitely not my kind of thing," she agreed readily.
She put away the last of the files, finally, and stood at her desk, looking very pleased with herself. All done in a day's work!
"Thank you for your help, Juno, it was very kind of you."

"Perhaps, depends if you dance well."
Was she playing with him? Juno chuckled and a bit of his tongue peeked out between his teeth, a grin across his lips. "I'm alright..." He replied sheepishly, surprisingly modest with a shrug of his shoulders.
However she declined his offer to go out with him. Hm. If Juno gave up now, it would be too easy wouldn't it? "Maybe you should give it a try." He suggested with a mischievous smirk, a twinkle in his eye. How could he persuade such a woman to go out with him? He wasn't sure, she was difficult and this being the first time they'd met... He was definitely too forward. Not that he cared all that much over it. "Loosen up a bit. If you're not doing anything tonight..." He trailed off with another shrug.
"Thank you for your help, Juno, it was very kind of you."
"Oh, it was my pleasure Doctor." He was still quite pleased with being able to spend some extra time with Flo and didn't really want to leave her side and lingered there for a moment before slowly, very slowly taking one sliding step back at a time towards the doorframe. His eyes glued in eye contact with the black-haired woman.

"Loosen up a bit. If you're not doing anything tonight..."
Well now. If it wasn't obvious before, now it was painfully obvious that he was trying to ask her out. Again, if this had been someone else... But the woman was worn out from dealing with children all day, and so Flo took all of about 2 seconds to decide.
"I'm tired, perhaps another time," she said while offering the young man a wan smile.
She watched with faint amusement as Juno very slowly slid his way toward the exit, vaguely reminded of how some of her cats would slink their way out reluctantly when she tried to shoo them away.
"If I ever need help with paperwork again, I'll know who to look for," she replied lightly, smile still lingering on her face.

"I'm tired, perhaps another time,"
Ouch. So cold. "Alright, well then I guess I'll be going then..." He said with a meek smile still across his face.
"If I ever need help with paperwork again, I'll know who to look for,"
Double burn. He knew that Hack would be laughing at him now. Seeing how poorly he was doing at trying to snag a date with this sterilely clean and stern woman.
Juno had still been inching slowly backwards towards the door as she replied, but as he reached the frame he stopped. His body refused to leave and instead he leaned against the door.
He stared at that smile of hers for a few long seconds. Tilting his curiously to the side with a slightly frustrated smirk across his face, "Do you ever do anything spontaneous?" It was something he was really beginning to wonder.

"Do you ever do anything spontaneous?"
One eyebrow arched on the woman's face. Really now, was the boy not going to take "no" for an answer at all?
"Only at a time of my choosing," she replied simply. Her eye contact with Juno remained unbroken as she continued to pack her things, and she privately wondered to what measures she would have to take to get him to just, go. He was a nice young man, really, but Flo was worried her temper might just get the better of her and... snap.
Packing done at last, she switched off the lights and headed for the doorway, where Juno remained like an unmovable statue. She jangled some keys and nodded towards the door.
"Unless you want be to locked up in here, I'd suggest you move," she said with a quirk of her lips.

Juno snirked at her response. A time of her choosing? "Doesn't that defeat the purpose of what spontaneity actually means?" he smirked. Boy, Juno was really beginning to wonder what about her he'd found attractive. Perhaps that whole 'off-limits' aura she gave off. But she wasn't nearly as interesting as he thought she might be. She was much like a tough old meat... She'd be one scary old woman to behold, that was certain. He was beginning to think Hack was right about putting him off on her. And a part of him was vaguely reminded of his ex, who could also be just as stern. He'd outgrown the attraction to women of that type of arrogance...
"Oh yeah, I'll pass on getting locked up." he chuckled. Juno easily spun out of her way to let her lock the office up. "I'd try not to be so uptight if I were you. Lighten up, you know?" Juno nodded and saluted to the doctor.
"See you when I see you." At which point Juno shmoozed on off down the hall, an occasional spin here or there, glad to be getting out of range of that solemn stare.
