You notice an interesting passage in the reference guide.
"Habitat
Water's-edge Pokémon
Magikarp is found in many bodies of water, such as lakes, rivers, and ponds. However, due to its weak swimming ability it usually lives downstream of the water's flow. Magikarp are extremely plentiful, living in almost any region. No one really knows how this Pokémon survived, however, Magikarp is rare in the Unova region, unlike the other regions."

GriffinFire "There's a lot of water in the Unova region, so I suppose a general map of Unova?" Ariel (700/1000 HP)...good enough xD It was basically magikarp are rare in Unova. The whole event kinda has an unova theme to it. But I guess it was a far stretch and I was running really low on puzzles pff On Unova's map, you find a picture of Jirachi glued in on top of the map. You vaguely recall seeing the same picture before in the dream world. You also spot a familiar Volcarona in the picture. In total, there is: *A volcarona *5 Emolga *5 Joltiks *1 Deino *2 Zorua *1 Archen They are all sleeping together, enjoying Volcarona's warmth.

"Hmm," Zoey said, studying the slightly faded image. "It appears to be a picture of Jirachi. He's sleeping with a bunch of other Pokemon. There's a Deino, some Emolga, some Joltiks, some Zorua, an Archen, and even the Volcarona that we encountered earlier. I wonder... Do you think these Pokemon are Jirachi's family? It looks as if they are sleeping together like one big family..." Spook hopped up onto her shoulder and offered his opinion in the form of a "Mreowr?" Zoey scratched him behind the ears, deep in thought. "Kinda strange. Everything that's happened. I still can't pinpoint if we're back home or if we're in another illusion created by Jirachi." Cygnus smiled. "His family, that's a nice thought. If that's the same Volcarona as the one we met, perhaps the rest of them are around here, as well," he said. "Or were. I think a few Joltiks were captured by some of the others when we first got here, so I wouldn't be surprised if trainers had scooped up the others, as well." He reached down to pat Ariel, who was keeping a wary eye out for any approaching danger. "The way our Pokemon turned up makes me think this is real. Then again, they might be dreaming, too." Cygnus smiled again as his Espeon leaned affectionately into his hand. Ariel (700/1000 HP)
