Eric resisted the urge to blush a little bit. That was awfully nice of her, and seemed a little out of character in her case. Not that he minded, he could stand to have people be a little nicer to him.
"I appreciate that, it'll be nice to know I have a guardian angel, and one as pretty as you to boot."
He didn’t think the flattery was uncalled for, she had just offered to keep people from killing him, and he liked being alive.
"And believe me, when I get big, you’ll get more than a signed cd. I’m thinking VIP backstage pass and front row tickets."
He winked at her.
"It’s the least I can do for the lass who went and got my guitar for me. Space wasn’t so bad when I had my music to keep me sane."

Albireo laughed. Yeah, this guy wasn’t as bad as she thought at all. Guardian angel? Well…what a way to flatter her. “Well, thanks. I’ll be sure to protect you as best I can, I know I’m just one person and it’s a very big city…but I’m going to try, Eric.”
At the mention of backstage passes and the front row tickets she grinned. “Well, I’ll keep that in mind and keep an eye on the news for the next big band led by Eric.”
Huh. Well, this meeting had actually made her feel a lot better…someone was counting on her now. That was a nice feeling.
“Well, I have to go on to my patrol, but it was really nice talking to you. I hope we can meet again sometime, okay?” She smiled at the man and laughed softly once again, mood light for the first time in days.

Eric smiled back at her, finally finishing putting his stuff away and slinging his guitar case over his shoulder.
"Aye, keep an eye out in the up and coming. I'll be there soon enough."
He looked around.
"You go ahead and get to it, I should be getting home anyway. No one stops to listen after dark unless you have something going on nearby. There’s nothing nearby to distract people from, so there’s no point in staying out. And as you say, I’ll be safer indoors."
He smiled at her warmly.
"If you ever want a private concert or just to talk about music, I'll be around, and I always love to have an audience. Stop by any time."

She nodded. “See you later then, Eric. Stay inside after dark. No matter what, stay inside.” The senshi gave a little wave then smiled once more.
“I promise I’ll stop by and visit you again, soon, I hope. Bye, Eric!”
Albireo gave one last wave, then jumped onto the nearest rooftop, before darting off into the swiftly darkening evening. That hadn’t been as bad as she was expecting. The last time the two had talked he had been terribly annoying. Though, maybe that was just due to the stress of space. Or maybe she had become more tolerant. Either way, she did want to visit him again.

Eric had that stupid, happy smile on his face as he walked away to catch the bus for home. God he loved the bus.
But that had been a nice run in with that Alberio person. She had been pleasant conversation, and it was nice to know what had happened in the surrounding hadn't just been a really weird confusing dream. Well, somewhat nice, though more complicated.
Eric looked around at the world with new eyes. There wasn't just work and play and sex and then death. There was something going on underneath it all. Something weird. Something secret. Something utterly fantastic. And now, whether it wanted him or not, he was a part of it.
He watched the buildings around him, expecting them to all take on a new life in front of his eyes, senshi jumping between them doing... whatever it was that Senshi do. What was that?
He felt like he was awake for the first time, but had missed the first part of the story. What were these senshi? What do they do? Alberio mentioned fighting something... what was that? Was there a secret war going on here? Some sort of battle with destiny city unknowingly at stake?
He would have to figure it all out.
