Dith signed heavily and turned to look at the three eveeloutions; seemed they weren't being too hostile. Good. "...No," he said eventually, "he didn't tell me why." He knew though, or at least had a good guess. Maybe it had only been part of it but Snowy had always disliked Anya. He had believed that his friend would set that aside out of affection for him but apparently not. The apologies he had received, though sincear, didn't detract from the fact that he'd done what he had. He was almost tempted to ask Lucy then if Jack - or whatever he called himself - ever spoke about him, but he knew better than to expect the small man to discuss anything personal like that with somebody who claimed not to know him all that well really.
"Did he ever tell you why he joined?" Dith asked after a short pause and then, looking back at Lucy. "Why did you? Where's the appeal in... in... that." He probably wasn't going to get an answer, he realised, that would probably be too close to confessing what it was that she did. She might say something he supposed, but it would be of no meaning in the end.
Viktor said, slightly caught off guard by Alexina's assertion; he'd been caught up in trying to decide how to respond to Skiron. he said eventually, turning back to the larger ice type.
Skiron responded, Was that right? Maybe not, but it felt right to him.

"Mmh," was her initial reply to the answer he gave her, taking a moment or two to dwell on it. "I don't know either," she added, brow furrowing slightly as she watched the three eeveelutions as well. "I hardly know anything about him except what I see, he's not very forthcoming with personal information." But then again, neither was she usually. Sometimes, yes; most of the time, no.
At his questions, she looked at him sharply, a mixture of suspicion and mild confusion on her face. She was hoping there was more vague confusion than anything else, but he was poking at things that made her nervous - very nervous - and it made it hard to control her expressions. Crap. "I don't know what you mean," she replied carefully.
Alexina rotated her ears slightly, glancing between the two old friends as she did so. She didn't have anything to say, so she remained silent.

Dith sighed heavily and shook his head; “I thought that you might say that.” He wasn’t quite sure what to read into her expression, but he certainly didn’t believe her for a moment. He wasn’t going to get anything out of her though, not without force anyway and he didn’t feel like trying that on. Perhaps a bit of good could come out of this conversation though, it was worth trying. “Well I see that you don’t plan to tell me anything, if I assume there is nothing to tell anyway will you do something in return?” Dith asked, folding his arms across his chest again but now looking more thoughtful than anything else. What exactly to say? “I just want you to pass on a small message to Skiron’s trainer, no more than that.” The worst she could do was refuse after all.
<...You’re a fool Skiron,> Viktor said quietly after a heavy silence. will fight you and I will not hold back.> He never imagined he would have to say things like this to Skiron, never. Had he taught him wrong, spoken too much of being true to your trainer and too little of knowing what was right?
Viktor would fight him. Attack him. It was beyond belief, and yet it was happening. the ice type said softly, bowing his head miserably. Skiron raised his head again to make eye contact with his old friend and mentor, the closest thing he remembered to a parent.

If he wasn't there, she probably would've sighed in exasperation - but since he was, she didn't, and instead remained silent for the time being. So he did have suspicions of her. It was obvious the moment he'd mentioned knowing Frost, so it wasn't surprising - it was just unsettling to have it so confirmed and.. definite. At his request, however, her gaze was confused and vaguely curious. "I have nothing to tell you anyway," she pointed out - she had no intention of telling him or affirming anything, "but regardless of that, of course I will." She wasn't that much of a spiteful b***h. Usually. But it involved Frost, and she had to go see him anyway. After this? Oh, yes, she definitely needed to see and speak with him. Oh yes, they would have Words when she got back. "What would you like me to tell him?" It'd be easier if she had paper or something, but she didn't. Oh well.
The tension was making her nervous, but Alexina still remained silent. There was nothing she could say, really, but at least there was something she could do. The slender ice-type took a deliberate step closer to Skiron's side, reminding him of her presence, letting him know she was still there and still on his side. Moral support, even if it wasn't verbal support.

"...Uh." After so many years what was there to say? Well, there was a lot to say but it was a horrible tangled mess of emotions and thoughts that couldn't be crammed into a short message. Keep it simple. "Tell him... tell him that I disapprove of his new career but that I still miss him. If he wants to contact me my number's still the same." That seemed about enough, enough to send via this Lucy at any rate. On short notice it wasn't really a bad message either, especially given how his mind was spinning with all those clashing feelings.
With nothing more to say Dith put two fingers in his mouth and let out a piercing whistle. "Виктор, давай!"
At the sharp sound from up the beach Viktor pricked up his ears and glanced over his shoulder. he said for the benefit of Alexina, who he suspected didn't understand the human tongue that had been used. Turning back to Skiron the psychic type gave a heavy sigh. he said, regret ringing clear in his voice. With those words the golden Espeon turned away once more and bounded up the beach towards his trainer.
As Alexina stepped closer to him Skiron brushed his tail against hers in thanks. Before he had a chance to respond to anything Viktor said to him however the Espeon was gone, leaving Skrion to say; to the empty air.

Her eyebrows rose a small fraction as he began, but then lowered back into a neutral expression. When he'd finished, she nodded her head once. "Alright, I'll let him know," she said, flexing her fingers over her book to make sure blood was still reaching them. Arceus, how long had she been out here? It couldn't have been too long yet, but the encounter with this man had left her feeling a bit colder than she might otherwise have been if he hadn't shown up. Being nervous tended to do that, oddly enough. As he whistled and said something in... some language - definitely foreign, and nothing she'd heard before, so she made a mental note to either look it up or ask Frost later - her gaze followed his to the trio down by the water line.
Xina bobbed her head slightly in acknowledgment, but otherwise said nothing to the Espeon as he bounded back to his trainer. Her gold eyes flicked to Skiron as he replied to the retreating psychic-type, then leaned over to gently headbutt his shoulder. The whole encounter had thoroughly and completely ruined the mood of their day out, and she wasn't really sure what they should do now, or if Claire even wanted to stay anymore. She wasn't moving to get up, though, so perhaps they were staying...?

"...Thank you." He wondered what Jack would make of the message, if the odd little man still cared about him or if he'd managed to file such emotions under 'irrelevant'. As Viktor approached Dith tried to think of a suitable farewell for Lucy, but as one didn't come to mind he settled for; "Goodbye then." As there wasn't really any more to do or say he simply clicked his tongue to Viktor and set off down the sand again at a swift jog. He couldn't summon back the relaxed mood he'd been in before though, not even when she was long left behind nor later on when he hit a punchbag until his hands hurt and it was hard to breathe. Snezhok. It wasn't fair. It would be so much easier if he could just hate him and have done with it.
As Viktor departed with Dima Skiron sighed and flopped down in the shallow water. Today had begun so well and now.... He just wished Viktor had never spotted him, it would have been so much easier that way.

"You're welcome," she'd said reflexively at his thanks, as she opened her book to the page she'd left off at, then added, "good-bye" as he left. There was nothing more to say.
Alexina hesitated a moment or two before laying down next to Skiron and gently nudging his shoulder with her nose. Why did that giant man and his Espeon have to come to the beach today? It just wasn't fair...
