As the canine turned and whipped around to keep track of the bug, he'd lost him for a brief moment... but found him quickly in the worst way. The irritating sound that was emitted from the tiny bug debilitated the Absol for a moment, cringing at the sound, a low growl rumbling. But he pushed forward, a fierce look in his eyes, lips pulled back and baring at the creature in warning for another attack, this time his black horn glowing.

Joltik was soundly knocked backwards by the Absol's horn and hit a wall quite hard. It was a miracle that the poor creature hadn't been completely squished yet - but pokemon were hardly. Especially bug pokemon apparently.
Angry, Joltik noticed that neither trainer nor pokemon enjoyed its bug buzz attack and continued to emit the jarring noise that grinded upon everyone's eardrums

The Zubat was taken back by the loud noise this bug pokemon could make. Apparently Zubat's such as himself weren't the only ones that could make irritating-eardrum-bleeding inducing sounds. Shaking his head to try and focus on the Joltik, Zubat swooped around the Absol and used his own screech against the bug again. What was that saying he'd heard people use? Fight fire with fire. Or something.

The Joltik stopped its own verbal assault on the ears for a moment, visibly flinching from the noise the Zubat made. But it quickly scurried backwards, distancing itself from the source of the noise before continuing its own bug buzz attack which was louder than ever.
At this rate, the whole room would go deaf.

With the entire room filled with vibrating waves tossing back and forth, making eardrums beat rapidly, Claude had had enough of the madness. With a loud growl, he charged once more at the irritating bug, full steam ahead.

The absol's attack seemed to have knocked out the last of Joltik's strength. It collapsed. Throw a pokeball now!

It had been defeated, finally! Arlii sighed, glad all the screeching was over. She glanced over at her unintended companion and offered him a smile. "That was rather...eventful. Is your Absol alright?" A thwack to her head made her sigh and turn her attention to the Zubat. "Yes, yes. Are you alright? You fought well!" She informed him. Arlii was rewarded with a happy squeak. Yes. He had done well!

Thank goodness! Exhaling deeply, Sabre shook his head slowly. What a nusiance... but his attention quickly turned to his Absol, who he calmly approached and knelt before. Reaching into his pants pocket, he pulled out a few berries, and fed them to his canine pal. That stupid bug did a real number on him...
The Absol ate them appreciatively, his strength regaining from them.

Arlii moved to pick up the pokeball with the little nuisance inside. Alright, it was cute. She had to admit. Such a little thing. The girl hoped that her unknown companion's Absol was alright. Maybe she should ask, just to be sure? Turning that way, she saw him feed something to his pokemon. Ah, well. Looked like she didn't need to worry then! But that brought her attention to her own pokemon.
The Zubat was still flying around in slow circles above them, watching for any more little sparky things. Feeling satisfied that nothing was going to drop on him or his trainer, the Zubat moved and latched onto his trainer's back. Just hanging from the back of her jacket. Arlii sighed.
Reaching into a pocket of her jacket, she pulled out a couple berries, which she then held behind her back. A tongue licked her fingers before the berries disappeared from her hand.
Looking over at the man in the room with her, Arlii felt she should at least learn his name. "So...I'm Arlii. What can I call you?"

With his Absol healed back to normal health, and the annoying pest dealt with, Sabre felt a bit...relaxed.. as much as he could be in the given situation. Claude gave a very gentle nuzzle to the tall man's leg as he righted himself. Sabre's eyes drifted towards where the Joltik had originated, ignoring and avoiding the female completely from his eyesight. The Absol glanced to her however, and watched her very intently. Unblinking. With the question asked, Sabre didn't respond for a good long while, walking a little around the room, still keeping to his space, "Don't worry about it.." he replied plainly. No point in learning her name, nor did she need his. He didn't plan on 'making friends' in this.. 'adventure'.. And he certainly wasn't going to see her again after it was all said and done.
