Another sunrise and the Huntail would begin to swim in circles as she roused. Spaded tail flicking, the Water-Type would soon create a Whirlpool, slopping life giving liquid over the edges of the pond and onto the berry plant. Finally having sprouted, it was growing quite nicely.------------- On the crater's edge, Crowe continued to dig. Despite his efforts he hadn't actually found anything yet. Rocks lead to more rocks...and further rocks after that. Dirt and gravel was the only reward he received for his efforts thus far. [Berry Growth: Day 4/7]

Heat soon filled the air of the Valley of Strength, the sun having long since risen and now reaching it's peak in the sky. Water would slosh slightly as a wide mouthed face poked out of the pond and released a yawn. Artemis had overslept a bit. No matter the plant didn't appear to be dying just yet.
Reaching out with her spaded tail the Water-Type would rub the side of the Berry Plant. Amazing how swift these things could grow wasn't it? Seemed like just yesterday the thing was no more then a seed inside a berry.
Slipping her tail back into the pond, Artemis would dive down into the it's depths. Swimming in circles the Huntail would quickly begin to form a whirlpool, letting water splash over the edge and onto the berry plant.------------- Crowe squawked slightly, coughing as a bit of dirt got caught into his throat. Shaking his head the Skarmory ruffled his feathers before producing a slight yawn. He'd been digging day and night...not that he needed to, he'd simply lost track of the time while swinging away at the rock wall before him. The tunnel had gotten a bit deeper down now, but he still had plenty of ground to cover as it were...he wondered if he'd actually find anything soon....[Berry Growth: Day 5/7]

A sweep of her tail to clear the algae and Artemis would descend into the depths of the pond, forming a Whirlpool to slosh water onto the berry plant as she had the day before. It seemed like she was starting to do this later and later in the day as of late...------------- Meanwhile Crowe would continue to dig deeper and deeper into the side of the crater. The mine wasn't big, and truthfully he had yet to find anything...but he was certain that he'd find something soon! [Berry Growth: Day 6/7]

Before she knew it Artemis would find herself watering the plant again, a sweep of her tail and a quick swim in circles. The Whirlpool would form, water slopping over the edges, and the berry bush was watered.
Rising out from the pond the Huntail would look at the plant curiously. My these things grew fast didn't they? It seemed like only yesterday it had been a little seed, now it was a bush tall and strong, the berries just about ready to fall!------------- -Waiting on Item Grant for Excavation- [Berry Growth: Day 7/7]

A single berry would appear on the tree. The little Lum berry would start to grow ...the only one, but a chance to try again while the tree ...though large would for the moment produce nothing...maybe.
Meanwhile, the Skarmory's luck in the dirt seemed to be pretty bad. The first had been evaded by Claim Jumpers whom when they found nothing had continued on their own way, and the second time ....he would dig until the rock became too hard for the equipment he was using to go any further and inside ...he would find nothing.
Not a stitch of anything useful ...as the powerful urge to eat would come on him this time. A battle had ended somewhere, and thus, the pangs of his stomach would make itself clear.
As every pokemon his land would find themselves int he same situation.

((Hate to do this when you've posted after a no doubt tiresome several days....but you're posts aren't 100% correct.))
((Rolled a 16 for Excavation. That's a Held Item. For that list I rolled a 9; an Amulet Coin. 7 was for Berry Event, of course nothing happened, and you were totally correct on the 1 Berry....sadly. XP))
((98 EXP is no doubt correct....but your math afterwards is a tad off. Crowe's EXP would be 85/300...and actually that's about it.))

Though it would seem that he had failed, if Crowe would check the earth right at his feet ...he would see it. A silver of a something that had fallen and cracked against the pile of useless rubble from before. A Amulet coin, which meant that he had actually managed to gain something from the dig other than a appetite.

((I can see you retracted the statement some time after, but I can't help but state this reply because I've been stewing about it for a few days. The 7 was completely unrelated to the berry drop. As you probably figured out since then the day a Berry drops requires 1 Roll of a D20, this being an Event roll like with the Honey...except unlike the Honey these events occur without an item and happen at the end of the cycle. Trainer's must then generate a Random Number between 1 and...well in this case it was 6, but it varies depending on land type and times watered. That of course decides the number of berries produced by the plant.))Fable hanging off his shoulder, Raven would once more return to the Valley of Strength. What he found upon his return wasn't too much of a surprise over all. Beneath the hot crater sun West and Requiem appeared to be sparring...or arguing...something had clearly gotten the Zorua's knickers in a knot.
Half buried in the sand Diabound had made all but his mask vanish again. Were the wrong person to come along they might easily mistake the mask for a hidden relic, rather then the devious trap it was.
Travelling to the far end of the crater the child would inspect the progress of the mine. Crowe had made good headway in such little time, though the tunnel was hardly extensive.
Seeing that the Steel-Type was still hard at work the boy opted not to disturb him; though as he was about to leave the glitter of gold caught his eye. Haphazardly kicked into place, an Amulet Coin lay near the mouth of the gave, half hidden in the shadow of the left corner.
Taking the item in hand the child nodded approvingly and took the item. Once he'd return to the location of the other caves, the boy would kneel upon the dusty ground, slipping the worn leather cord from which the Amulet Coin hung over the mask of Diabound and 'equipping' he item to the Yamask.
Lastly the boy would check on Artemis, and with her the berry garden. What he was met with was disappointment in that department. The Huntail had hardly grown, and amidst the remains of the already rotting berry bush was a single Lum Berry. It would seem his first attempt had failed rather resoundingly.
Shaking his head briefly the boy would pat the Huntail on the head, then with her aid in clearing away the rot, would plant the Lum Berry in the same location as the first. Hopefully things would go better this time.
Nodding, the boy would then go to his 'home'...if you could call the rather Spartan dwelling that...and go to sleep.

With the rising sun a great many things would occur. Raven would wake, munching on some of the less perishable leftovers he'd obtained from the Tournament. He'd made sure to keep a few things which wouldn't spoil easily to eat later.
Once that was done the child would rouse Fable, and the two would head off in the direction of the Mirage Arena.

While Raven left, Artemis would rise from the depths of the pond. Looking lazily at the mound of dirt housing the new berry, she would sink back beneath the water. Swimming in tight circles she would whip up a whirlpool, allowing water to slop over the edges like an overfull blender with the lid off.
Once the Berry was satisfyingly drenched, the Huntail would go about her business...which mostly consisted of digging the pond deeper and cleaning the water.

Elsewhere Crowe would strike out at the rocky walls of the mine with renewed vigour. Steel beak crashing against the stone the Skarmory felt fresh and full of energy, as if he hadn't taken a crack at this thing in almost a week! [Exiting to Mirage Arena]

Another day, another sunrise, and as the flaming orb rose to it's pinnacle Artemis would too rise from the depths of the pond. The berry plant hadn't made much progress yet; but given the state of the soil around here and the dry air that wasn't so surprising.
Flicking her spaded tail the Water-Type would dive into the pond and get to work. Swimming in circles the Huntail would slosh water onto the ground nearest the pond's rim, soaking the planted seed.

Back in the mine Crowe was hard at work, pecking at the rock wall and digging at a brisk pace. Were he a Ground-Type you'd almost imagine him learning Dig from all this effort!...but that was not the case, and he wasn't particularly keen on the idea anyway. Better to soar above all others then deal in dirt. [Exiting to Mirage Arena]

The sun would rise, the red light of dawn obscured as storm clouds tread across the horizon. They weren't headed for here of course, the wind simply carried them close to the crater and pass...this was not a place that saw rain often after all. Dry lighting was more likely.
Still, as Artemis awoke to the sight it would remind her of an old song sung back in Hoenn. One said to bring on the fiercest storms, but also aid one in travelling safely through them. With this thought in mind the Huntail would softly hum the 'Song of Storms' as she began swimming in circles, forming a whirlpool to slop water over the edge of the pond, bringing life giving water to the Lum Berry sprouting so near.

Crowe on the other hand remained oblivious to the weather, his beak working away at the rock wall in front of him, searching for treasures buried beneath the earth.
