Tahkis wings were shut tightly behind her. She screamed as the ground got closer and closer. Fear made it hard to move her wings in time to stop the descend to the inevitable ground below. The only thing Tahki felt she could do was shield her face with her arms.
Her eyes shut tight.
"NOT FLYING!" Was all she could say as gravity dragged her further and further to the ground.

Muka's wide eyes widened just that much more as the winged ghoul hurtled towards the ground. It suddenly dawned on the boil that she may not know how to fly. This was a school! Maybe she was still learning? He was wrong, of course (how would she have gotten onto the roof?), as it dawn on him that she may just be surprised and panicking.
He let out an almighty screech and the sounds of bones popping and muscles stretching filled the air as he shifted back into his natural form and swooped for her. If hadn't been so large there would be no way he could lift her. Within moments the dive bombing owl had gripped Tahki by the shoulders with his taloned feet and was flapping hard to keep her from dying.
There was definitely some strain as they slowly lowered to the ground and Muka let go, dropping the gryphon as gently as he could on the grass outside of the monster dorms. He landed, shuffled, but stayed in this form. His jagged black beak cracked. "You can't fly Tahki?!"

Tahkis eyes squeezed shut. She'd accepted the fact that in moments she could turn in to fear particles or worse! But, at the last moment, she was saved. Talons had come from the sky and lifted her from the doom below. Then, gently, she was let back down.
The gryphon was shocked. More then shocked. Her heart was still pounding in her throat from the whole ordeal.
'You can't fly Tahki?!'
Tahki couldn't respond just yet. She was still shaking from the fall. Still her brain worked well enough to think a loud WHAT. It took a few moments but the shock wore off.
"I.. I'm able to fly?" It came out more as a question then an answer.

The large owl settled on the ground, the familiar disgusting sound of his transformation kicked in, and soon he was a boil again. There were a few seconds where he was a boil's head on an owl's body but that had been brief. He seemed to stretch his shoulders and wings. His arms hurt a bit from carrying her.
He definitely seemed confused but mostly because she sounded confused. "Are you? You are? Uhhh.." His head tilted to the side but then he just burst out laughing. A high screeching cackle. The strix grabbed his belly as if he couldn't hold it in. "You are funny!"
He still had no idea if she could fly.

Tahki was now brushing her self off out of habit. The laughter caught her attention though causing the gryphon to stiffen quite a bit. She was ... Funny? Tahki could have died right then and there. She wanted to insist that she really wasn't funny but the words would not form from her now very dry mouth.
Her lion tail twitched a bit in annoyance, but she said nothing. The more Tahki thought about the more she didn't want to seem ungrateful. So she forced a very unnatural smile on her face.
"I-I suppose I am.." Her tone was a bit on the dreary side as was her body posture. Muka had saved her tail though so she couldn't stay annoyed at him. Tahki was trying her hardest to be cheery when all she wanted to do was go and hide in her room.
Her heart sank a bit.

Muka stepped forward, his shoulders still rising and falling in hissing little chuckles. He used a taloned hand to ruffle her hair, unaware that she may not want that at all.
His head tilted and there was a voice drifting from the top of the tower. "ULMUKA." His smile, ever present, pursed suddenly. It came again. "Ulmuka!"
The strix's head turned a bit and he hopped strangely from side to side as if he were guilty of something. "I flew out while still unpacking!" This amusement sent the monster back into giggles. "Shhhhh!"
The call came again and then a head popped out and looked down. "ULMUKA! GET UP HERE!" It was a strong voice, very proper, and rather angry. The boil suddenly sagged a bit but he tried to keep up his smile.
"That's father. I should probably not have left." He swooped forward to give Tahki a hug. He breathed in the air through his mouth, tasting it, and then let her go. "Let's be friends Tahki! "

The laughter continued followed by a hair mess up. Tahki just stood there looking very awkward as she allowed Muka the pleasure of messing her hair up. But that all came to a halt when some one up in the tower called Muka's name. "Father?" She looked back up to the tower and smiled. "Guess you really should be going then huh?" She adjusted her headphones which were now tilted in an awkward fashion from the hair rub. She hadn't even finished straightening them before Muka surprised her yet again. " Friends?" Tahki blinked and then nodded, "O-Okay!" She gave him another determined nod.

Muka lifted his head and the pointy horned head was still sticking out of the window. It was too far to see details but there were definitely a regal set of horns on the fellow. "Oh he's probably angry. That's his angry voice." His grin pursed for just another second before spreading back over his face.
"I will find you Tahki. We will have flying lessons! It will be so exciting I CAN"T WAIT." He clasped one of her hands in his own as if he cherished it, once again oblivious to any of her personal space desires.
"Farewell!" His wings spread out wide and with another popping crack he shifted back into owl form and took off up to the tower and his waiting, angry demon father.

Flying lessons?
Muka left a dumb struck Tahki standing there with nothing to say. Her expression said it all as did the way her head was now tilted to the side.
Flying lessons?
There was nothing now to do but to go back to her own dorm room and ponder over why Muka wanted to give her flying lessons.
