This one, actually, was shockingly easy to understand -- computer in his lap and movie going, with beer and pizza, Veer was about as happy as he could get. Even if it was mindless poking around on the internet, it was such a relief to be able to do that again that it was enough. Most of the movie would slip past him as he ******** around, and when it was over, he'd look up in a surprised and somewhat dazed manner.

But he was easy going. More pizza. Couple quick games, each of them soundly beating the other. Enough beer to leave him wobbly as the clock clicked around to way too late and he made a sound.

If she had anything to do in the morning, it might be wise to postpone, the clock finally ticking around toward three when he headed out, shrugging his way back into his coat and raising one hand in a quick, absent sort of wave. It wasn't until he was sitting on the subway car, heading toward home, that Veer would frown and wonder how close to toeing the line of date that had ended up being.
