“Painful, but it could have been worse” Athene admitted – it stung like anything. “Thanks for your warning.” If Camelot hadn't called out the warning when he did, then Athene wouldn't have ducked and things really would have been worse... He bit his lip – actually he didn't really want to think too much on just how much worse it could have been – that things claws had been sharp.
“I guess I'll drop by the doctors and get them to have a look at it just in case though. Thanks for your help, helping me” he gestured in the direction of the bin. “Dust that thing too.”
While en-route to the doctors Athene made a mental note to take the time to at least try and think up some some sort of reasonable-sounding excuse to explain how his back had come to be clawed up the way it was. After all somehow the truth – that a winged monster had clawed it up – was probably not going to quite cut it.
It looked like working on that assigned extra work for Geography was going to have to wait for at least a little longer.

It could have been better, too, Camelot thought to himself, but he didn't say it out loud. They had managed to end the fight, the youma didn't escape to hurt anyone else, and they had done their jobs. So it was largely a win, even with the bruises and cuts they had taken in the effort.
"I should have been a bit faster with it, but it worked out in the end. I really thought I was getting better at these fights, but I guess you can't really assume every youma is going to be the same. Doesn't do much for your confidence though, does it?" He sighed, tilting his head to the side.
He nodded his head and saw Athene off, then returned to the street after powering down. For the life of him, he could not remember what he had been doing, and he frowned in thought as he looked around and tried to decide what important thing he was forgetting while he leaned on his cane.
It'd come back to him eventually.
