Was it weird that Laurent wanted to meet at his place of work on his day off? Of course not. He didn't know where else to go. His date could choose a different spot if he so wished, but for now Laurent was sitting at one of the first few tables. He was wearing his fancy suit. The one he barely ever wore for worry of getting it dirty. He was also reading a few pages of a random history book that had caught his eye. He found himself reading the same sentence over and over out of nerves and so he put the book down. He couldn't keep himself from tapping against the table, the silence killing him as he waited. It's not that he wanted an actual date or anything, so it didn't make sense that he was so worried. He was just trying to make a friend, how awful it seemed when he thought about it. He had paid a good lump of money to buy a friend. This was beginning to seem more and more like a bad idea.

June found white day pretty fun. It was a cool way to meet random people. Sure he knew in essence it was supposed to be about romance, but meeting people was more important for him. Which is why he was fine with it being a guy who bought him. Well, it was one of the reasons at least. The fact that his brother, Ray, also was bought by a guy made him a bit happier about the situation. Though, like stated before, he wasn't very upset. Even if it was the most flamboyant gay man, he already lived with Mac, so in his mind nothing could be that bad. Plus it was at the library, not really a 'date' like scene. He reached the entrance and brushed off his clothes. He was wearing a bright green hoodie and a pair of jeans. He hoped he was okay the way he dressed, but in a way he didn't really care. June opened the door an waltz in, looking for Laurent. He didn't see many people, but did see a boy sitting at a table. He walked up to him and knocked his fist on the table to grab the other man's attention. "Hey, you Laurent?" He asked rather abruptly. A very June like response.

Laurent jumped back a little when his date hit the table. Once he heard the man ask his name, he knew that it must be June. He laughed, a bit nervously. "Yes, I'm Laurent. It's nice to meet you." He stood up to shake the man's hand and then sat back down, sure it was a bit much. But, Laurent was a little afraid to offend. "I like that color. Very bright." Of course he didn't care for it at all, but he didn't want the man to know that. He had always had a hatred of bright colors, they seemed like an attention grabber. Like the wearer just craved that sort of thing or something. Something felt wrong about judging the person he had paid money for, so he decided to make a small exception. Hopefully there wouldn't be anything else that would bother him. He forced a smile, fearing that it would show on his face that he was thinking of how dreadful that thing was. The choice of wardrobe was otherwise exactly as he had hoped it would be. If the man had worn a suit or dress clothing, he may find himself forming a crush and that wouldn't be good. This was to be strictly friendship.

Priscilla Viniva
-The Mechanic-

She crouched down, about to pick up the unfortunate mishap when she detected the sound of footsteps. She didn't bother to look up until Priscilla heard the voice of a male, a younger male. Her eyes quickly darted up from the mess of books on the floor to some arrogant kid. What was his deal? Some smart-a** teen who needed to be knocked around a bit, but perhaps that could be saved for another day. Or not. Getting up from her crouched position, she took a step towards the boy, quickly closing the distance between them. Priscilla wasn't sure yet of her options as she openly inspected the teen, her hands now on her hips. She could use him for her own purposes, but she had a feeling he might be a little hard to handle. That was her own guess though; maybe he was really a sweat heart...But the expression on his face told her otherwise.

A smirk developing on her face, she took another moment before replying. There were simply too many options in how she could handle the situation, and it was almost too much for the amused Priscilla to bear. But that was the fun of human interaction after all! It was too bad Sothen never understood. Whatever. "You look smarter than you are, kid." Her hands still resting on her hips, she leaned forward slightly, their eyes now at the same level while she invaded his personal space. He looked younger up close; shouldn't he be in school or something? At least he didn't smell bad. "Actually, I do need directions." The mechanic said, a sly smile replacing her smirk. "And if you would be so kind as to write them down on paper, because I have a tendency to forget where I'm going." Breaking away from her stance, she made it back to the table in a few strides to retrieve her paper and pencil. Priscilla had to make sure the boy didn't leave in the few moments she was gone. If he was in the library such as this one, she was sure he would know how to write in this language. "Now...If you would be so kind..." She said, offering him the paper and pencil. "I am trying to make my way to the mechanic's business, or where that would be, because I heard it might be empty." Priscilla said, making up an innocent story for her purposes. "Oh, and please write down 'from the library to the mechanic' on the sheet. I might just end right back here at the library if I forget where I am going, and we both don't want that now, do we?" She silently prayed it would work so easily, even if asking the arrogant teen just to write mechanic straight out would be more simple, it definitely was not as fun. Or challenging, even if this wasn't too much of a challenge.

June flashed the guy his pearly whites with a friendly smile, being polite and all that. "It's nice to meet cha' too," He spoke as he pulled back the chair across from Laurent and took a seat, making a bit of noise in the process. He was always pretty haphazard about how he did things, and when he finally took a seat he dropped his arms on the table with a 'thud'. He wasn't actually trying to cause any issues, he just usually did stuff like this. Very lazy about how he held himself. It was kind of his style, much like his clothing which his 'date' had commented on. "Thanks," He replied, "I'm kinda' a sucker for bright things." Bright colors just stood out from the pack after all. And June, well he was better than your above-average man, so he had to make sure people notice him so that they could notice how great he was. Plus, as for today, he was wearing green because it was his favorite color. The blonde started to scan over the other a little bit, frowning a bit at his assumptions. "Your dressed pretty nice," A genuine compliment, "I feel like I shoulda' fancy'd up a bit."

Laurent smiled, clasping his hands together on the table in front of him. The man was unsure what to take from the way he was complimented. He wasn't used to someone talking that way. Did he mean that? Was he being sarcastic? It was all so new to Laurent and he was vastly confused. He figured he would just take the safe route and assume that he meant everything he said. "Thank you, but it's no bother. I'm glad you came the way you are comfortable. I just love the feeling of wearing a good suit." He continued the smile, watching June's body language. This boy really didn't seem to care much about anything, maybe he could learn to relax from hanging around him. Maybe something good could come out of this, after all. "But, the library isn't all that exciting. I'm pretty new to town and I work here. So, I knew how to get here fairly easily. That's why I picked it, if it seems odd. I assumed you would know of a good place to go from here." Maybe that was asking a bit much? But, it was already out there. He really needed to relax.

Prefers a suit? Weird. "Whatever floats your boat, huh?" June replied before the conversation moved on. Fancy stuff wasn't really the boy's forte. He even had problems with his uniform at the bakery. If it wasn't comfortable, it wasn't worth it. So he felt it was weird someone liked suits. Though, he knew it wasn't rare. So, the blonde man moved on, Laurent seemed to as well. The library was boring wasn't it? Books everywhere, no talking, bunch a smartalecks, it was definitely more of a Ray place. And, he would like nothing more to leave. Which is why he grinned when his company asked if there was anywhere better to go. There was. Many places. Though, a lot of them probably wouldn't fit the fancy man's style. However, there was one. A place that should suit both of their tastes just fine. "I know somewhere," June spoke as he lifted himself from his seat, loudly and abruptly, "We'll go to the local bakery." Sure, the man wasn't very keen on hanging out where he worked. But, he did like the people there, and the lively atmosphere. So without another word, he began to walk out and to their next stop. It was up to Laurent to follow.

Laurent smiled, it wasn't his fault that he was a little odd in the clothing aspect. He almost wanted to further explain himself, but didn't want to come off as protective or just go on too much. It seemed like it was best to stop while he was seemingly ahead. He nodded, happy that his date had known somewhere to go. He feared they would be stuck here in awkward conversation for just about ever. "I've never been there, yet. This is a bit exciting. Is it good there?" He was just full of things to ask now, but it seemed as if they were on the move now. So, he jumped up and began to follow June, trying to keep himself from asking too much. He felt a bit nervous about meeting new people and new places. There was also the fact that he was probably over dressed, crap. None of this was going very well anymore, and to think, it started out looking so great.

He looked smarter than he was? Ed gave her a slightly sour look at that comment – he could already tell she wasn't a pleasant woman, what with her smirk, insult right off the bat, and then her invasion of his personal space.. He didn't like what he had just walked into and, even worse, he couldn't back out of it. His father hadn't taught him much, but the man did manage to ingrain dedication into him; never leave a task unfinished. Even if it was something as stupid as giving a foreign idiot directions. He was going to rebuke her idea on his intelligence, knowing he was plenty smarter than this woman could hope to be, but he kept his mouth shut as she hadn't finished speaking yet. After she started, he found his attention on simply finishing his task as fast as possible. He waited for her to return when she left with the pencil and paper, taking the objects from her when they were offered. He looked at them contemplatively as she instructed him on what to do, wondering if her insistence on her incapability was sarcastic or simple honesty. Either way, he was going to take it seriously. Which was why when she finished speaking and took on an expectant stance, he crumpled up the paper and slid the pencil in his pocket.

If you have such a poor memory, you'll probably just lose the map. It's safer if I show you to the mechanic.” He motioned for her to follow as he moved towards the front desk where a trash bin was located so he could throw out the ball of paper, “We'll go to the government offices first; there's a register of all the private businesses there.. There's probably a more professional map you can get of the island too, if you really want a map that badly. ..Are you coming?” He paused to turn and look at her, already at the door and ready to leave. His book was getting boring anyway.

((I'm so so so sorry, Minty. D8 I didn't notice your post! ;w; ))

Priscilla frowned, resisting every urge to smack the boy on the side of the head. Did he really have nothing better to do than to show her around? What a waste. And speaking of waste, the teen crumpled her unused paper; a perfectly clean sheet! Not to mention her pencil was now resting his pocket. She will just have to swipe that back later.

With narrowed eyes, Priscilla followed him, picking up the paper out of the garbage as he reached the door. She already had the paper smoothed out and folded back into her pocket; still perfectly useable. Now for the pencil. Just as Priscilla was closely following the boy, homing in on her target, he turned around, looking at her expectantly. Too bad. She will just have to go the direct route. "Of course I am coming, although, it would be nice to have my pencil back." She said, holding her hands behind her back and smiling. "I doubt someone like yourself needs a pencil so badly, especially if you threw out perfectly clean paper." Walking past him, she opened the door, holding it out for him with a smirk on her face. "But someone like me? I need a pencil to keep track of things so my memory does not get the best of me." Leaving the library caused the cold gust of wind chill her to the bones; she certainly wasn't prepared for the cold winters here, and she was still adjusting to the abundance of the white fluffy snow. It was so deceptive looking; so white and fluffy, like a warm blanket, but yet so nasty. Just as nasty as the desert. "The government office is not far, is it?" Priscilla asked, a slight note of concern in her voice as she looked away from the annoying teen out into the snowy landscape. She wasn't really looking forward to going all the way to an office to get some map she couldn't read, but maybe she was wrong, and it would help.

Her pencil? Ed almost – almost – looked perplexed at her for asking for it, but then recalled that he had slipped it into his pocket a few moments prior. It was such an insignificant thing that he had already pushed it out of his mind, something he chided himself on as he took the utensil out and handed it to her without a second thought. He had plenty of pencils at home; there wasn't any need to take someone else's. It was weird how she persisted on having it back, though. He guessed she must have been poor or something like that to whine about some cheap little pencil – if it had any other significance, she wouldn't be handing it off to strangers, so it was probably about expense.

It doesn't matter to me.” He told her with a shrug, continuing on in a bored tone, “Pencils aren't a rare commodity.” He pointed out as he walked by her through the door she held open, mechanically thanking her as he paid more attention to the build up of wind and snow outside. ..Had it really gotten this bad in such a short time? He felt an involuntary shiver as he realized he hadn't even bothered to bring a coat with him. Stupid, stupid Ed. “...” He would rather not point it out, though, so he shrugged off the urge to hold himself or rub his arms to generate heat and kept himself still. “No. If you get cold easily, we can cross through the garden to get there faster.” He said quickly, choosing to walk off before he spoke any more. Not to seem as though he was cold, because it was honestly due to him wanting to get this done as efficiently as possible. Ed never got cold, which was why he didn't have a coat and not because he forgot to grab one since that was impossible; was there really any question on this?

In any case, Ed moved quickly out of the library, confident that she would follow as he headed for the government offices.
