Spottedteddybears I agree! I completely underestimated Masquerade! XD I spend a lot of time going really specific on Masquerade so I can get the makeup totally perfect. And as for the price, I will edit the eyes and hair out for another, cheaper option heart Robayn You know, that is a REALLY creative combination of eyes/makeup. I didn't even recognize Kanoko's eyes! There are ways to manipulate items to get them how you want that you'd never guess about. emotion_dealwithit

I had some assorted ideas for my character (to follow, of course), but I'm kind of at a loss beyond knowing that I like the Vivacenote hat I'm wearing right now (well, that style, anyways. I also quite like the Eloquent Cap) and my Snow Feather quill. Any chance you could help me out?
Oh, I do have an avatar in my collection that would work nicely for one of the lady thieves. It's from my brief foray into tektek commissions, which never did anything. It was supposed to be an example.

Certainly.
This is a considerably less Robin Hood-esque Prince of Thieves idea, as well.
And this is where I was with my avatar... I dislike the hair. Immensely. Every time I look at it, it's about 50/50 if I'll think it's ok or hate it. Right now I hate it. I also keep going back and forth between the Actaeon's Blessing light and dark eyes. I like those eyes.
And here's the other idea I was playing with. Ignore the skin. I was just seeing what could be done with it and forgot to remove it.

Ooh, I like that one! It's given me some Robin Hood themed ideas! Now all that needs to happen is the tektek update with Runcible Spoon so I can experiment with that hairstyle, it's so cute! Oh, that's fine. Experimenting is nothing to be sorry about, we all do it! Do you want me to make changes to it, or suggestions, or what? I'm not exactly sure.

Is this hair more to your liking? Or does this fancy you more? (The first one, I just changed the hair, but the second one, I had to change half the avi, because I had to cover that horrid red hairtie... gonk ) Edit- Oop! I forgot! This was for you, no? Shall I place it in your avis?

I'm glad you like it. I spent a lot of time with my examples. Too bad I never used them. It's also not horribly over expensive... sometimes tekteks come out to be like 16, 17, 58 million gold.
I like Runcible spoon... Owl's shirt and the lute look good.
Honestly, I was hoping you'd mess with it... I was just giving you what I'd been doing so you didn't have to start totally from scratch.
I like the first one more than the one I was using. Right now I'm looking at other colors of hair. I realized that I had it set to black/grey after looking at shoes. whoops... sweatdrop
And don't bother putting it in with my tags. I only use that tag for those that I've made.
For the knight? Depending on his rank...

I was just thinking... if we have a tektek that we love for our characters but can't afford, then we could still use the tektek image in a posting style. Our own avatars would be dressed similar, but the tektek would be the IC outfit.. that way we don't necessarily need to worry about affording it. Though, that said, wearing the outfit is always best.
Remember that it's more about having fun than having the best avatar, too. We don't need to bankrupt ourselves to have a nice outfit... try looking through super old or relatively unknown items as well :3

That's true. I try to keep things at a low-ish price... 5M ish (oh my god, it's awful that I consider that reasonable... stupid inflation. What happened to 30K being comfortable and 1M unheard of?)
Even so, getting 5M without blowing it on other stuff is... challenging. Unfortunately, there aren't too many options for bard characters. Luckily, all are fairly affordable. Now, if I were a jester... sweatdrop
Right now I'm considering a daytime avatar and a nighttime avatar. For the two, I'll need about 3M, plus whatever hair is.
Still can't decide on a hair. If someone else finds hair that looks good under a poofy hat, tell me, and that'll be the hair I use. Stupid hair being a pain... I actually found one I like, but it makes my poor avatar look like a girl. Again.
By the way, if anyone wants to browse through my tekteks, my "good" tag is Forumcat, and my "other" or "in progress tag is BasiWolff. There is overlap.
