You'd think that, by now, he'd be used to weird s**t going down.
Apparently, he was not.
Gilbert, having narrowly escaped death by asphyxiation, had been lying low for the following few days. He was in no real hurry to repeat the experience that gathering in large groups seemed to prompt, and aside from that, he wasn't exactly in any real hurry to meet up again with the people in that room. He knew that one of them had died -- Joshua Harvey -- and he wasn't sure, but someone might recall that he'd gone running from the kitchen. It was a natural enough reaction. He wasn't ashamed of it, because there was jack s**t he could have done for anyone else. He just didn't want to deal with anyone's attitude on the topic.
(Maybe he was slightly ashamed of his actions. But a little bit of shame was really a small price to pay when you considered he was still alive.)
The sight of this most recent occurrence, however, had him slowly lowering the sandwich he was eating, eyes pinching at the corners in thoughtfulness. It's coming...?
He shifted his weight from foot to foot, brow creasing slightly more as he considered it, and then sighed. His expression smoothed, and he lifted his sandwich back up again, taking another healthy bite.
It's coming, huh?
Well. Seemed like they'd just have to wait for it and deal with it as it came, just like everything else.

Layton was looking at the exact same glowy-hand that Felix was looking at. Over the course of the month, she had adjusted to seeing space every day, but not being in it. Having lost her brother for a good three weeks had set her in a deep depression, only to find her brother had been safe all along was a relief but ... it also did things to a normal high school girl.
Somehow, it seemed impossible to go back to her daily life. She had been in space. She had seen space whales. There had been super heroes, magical healing, castles, rainbow roads-
It was all a bit much, wasn't it? How was she supposed to go back home and just live a normal life like nothing had happened? Maybe her brain would just black her out and remove the memories. Some people did that when they were under tremendous stress, right? Well maybe not. Still, it wasn't like she could just waltz up to her parents and say "Guess what? That month I was missing? I was in space and fought whales!"
Her parents! They must be worried sick at this point. Her poor garden must've been suffering- AND MR. BIBBLES. WHAT HAD HAPPENED TO MR. BIBBLES?
It's Coming
The figure had spoken, someway through her thoughts, startling Layton a bit (but then, she had always been a jumpy type). She was transfixed on the glowing hand, but her arm reached up to tug Felix's sleeve (who was next to her, as he seemed to always be since re-finding her). "Wh-what ... What is that?" She said, breathlessly.
Really, the words "It's Coming" should have scared her more, but Layton ... couldn't stop staring at that ... light.

Roxy used to be so much more optimistic before all this happened. Amazing what a few weeks being abducted could do to a person. But the first thoughts in her mind were that this obviously couldn't be good, aside from fictional references.
And very vague.
It? What was it? Tim Curry dressed as a clown? Winter? Death, doom, destruction? The Silence? The Oncoming Storm? The Third Kind?
Well, some of those weren't so bad. Some of those lead to good things happening. But could they be so lucky?
Her yellow eyes following the golden flickers of light as they flittered past and towards the rainbow roads outside of the outpost. Honestly, she would have expected a little more theatrics with how things had been going so far; this was space after all and there were magical people even with all the death and fighting amongst themselves.
Roxy sighed, leaning against a nearby wall with her arms crossed. Whatever this was foreshadowing, she knew if she just trusted in the rest of the crew they would be lead down the best path.

Jarold Rivera had been busying himself in the Library in Chronos Outpost; trying to compare the strange space words and come up with a cipher. It was when he closed one of the books he was looking at when it hit him. From where he was seated, his arms suddenly raised up and said the words. "It's coming."
It had been absolutely involuntary, despite how dramatic Jarold usually was; something his ex-teachers would have agreed whole-heartedly as they remembered how much of a tattle tale he had been. He couldn't help but puzzle over why exactly he had said those words. What was coming? Another one of the monsters? But there weren't any screams in the distance or anything...
Jarold sighed. Or he probably had to take a break. Looking at all these books was tedious work, and if he continued any longer, he would probably become insane. Like a mad scientist, but in a reporter-y way. Although that sounded rather interesting! People would be interested in reading the column of a mad but brilliant reporter, right? It was certainly an idea to keep in mind.
With a sigh, he lifted himself up from his seat and began to pace around the room.

In the span of Cameron's imprisonment at the Surrounding over the past month and a half, he'd been anything but Mister Rogers. He was surrounded by people who did anything but impress him and did nothing less than annoy him. To top the cake, he'd been attacked and nearly killed twice by strange monsters and in the process he'd only barely escaped conversion to what seemed to be defined as pages. It seemed like some sort of underling to the senshi terrorist group.
Cameron had passed the point of being surprised by the things his company up in space decided to do so when one decided to make the use of their time by announcing foreboding situations and then exploding into some golden particles, Cameron decided to leave to go do something productive before things got any more ridiculous. However ridiculous it may seem, Cameron wasn’t naïve enough to believe that it couldn’t happen, not after what had happened to him thus far, so it was convenient that in the process of leaving that he was also leaving before whatever they thought was coming got there to make his life any worse.

Drama? Awe? Whatever; Veer was poking through food in search of something that didn't suck, something easy to eat, when another kid in the kitchens pointed up toward the sky.
His attention turned immediately to the smoke-blackened hood vent, and one of his eyebrows went up, mockingly indifferent. "...whatever, man. I just hope it's pizza."

Grant was fairly sure there was a good reason for all the strange things going on. He would just stay positive.
Maybe 'it' was a way home!

Did people just explode in golden dust? That was rather ominous. Gold was nice color, so perhaps there was a little, tiny possibility that something good was going to happen.
But really, Callum knew better. There was no way this was going to be good. People just don’t say “It’s coming” like they were possessed by ghosts, or God. It must have meant the end. Or a gold space whale, which was pretty much the same thing.

Steven Bittre had all but shut down the critical part of his brain as a survival mechanism to not completely lose it over the course of his adventures in space. So his reaction really wasn't much more than a 'that's what she said' and 'ooooh, glitter'.
He wasn't so inept as to not pick up on the tension the others were reeking of. Everyone seemed to be assuming whatever was coming was going to be bad. And he didn't necessarily disagree. Consciously, he knew some really terrible things had been going on. People dying, monsters, comas, ghosts. There were less civilians here than in a high school lunchroom, of course there had been gossip.
But, he was confident in Red and the rest of the pirate crew. He had spent the majority of his time with them when not exploring or scavenging because really? He figured they were his best bet to get through this.

Things were not super exciting nor cheerful in the Virgo infirmatory very often. People were injuried and healing.. but it remained a stark reminder of what exactly was going on around them. Something that was perhaps.. easier to ignore and forget in different outposts. Hadn't Menthe kept herself fairly contented for the first month by staying distracted and oblivious.
But the attack had made it impossible for her to simply.. forget or deny it anymore. So for the most recent week she had been staying in the infirmatory despite the fact that her injuries had totally healed. Wallowing in selfpity and fear, waiting for what she assumed was the inevitable.
The sound of one of the patients sitting up abruptly drew Menthe's attention up from the floor, peering curiously from behind her glasses.
A hand was hoisted, cryptic words spoken. "It's coming" Her heart seemed to stop, her throat drying, and in the end the air whooshed out of her lungs, her shoulders sinking. It was finally coming.. the end.
Atleast she didn't have to wait for much longer. It would all be over soon.
She was too tired to cry, instead her head simply hung, trying to think back over the years of her life. There was so much she hadn't done. So many regrets. She'd never kissed a man or had a boyfriend. Never gotten to go to New York or Hollywood to eat at the great resteraunts she'd always dreamed about. So many puzzles undone... So few people that would probably even realize she'd ever been and gone.
Who didn't have regrets though.....

Kestrel had been minding her own business trying to work out how to get into everyone elses business. The strange act of people raising their hands made her raise her eyebrows, the words just made her laugh.
"Is this the senshi trying to put on some sort of show now?" She just laughed and looked around the Virgo outpost at the others. However the person exploded into golden dust and she just stopped and looked and stared and then forced out a laugh.
She then clapped her hands.
"These senshi are pretty damn good with their tricks." No she wasn't going to take it seriously. They were in space for god sake, nothing made sense and nor did that. It was probably a senshi thing.

Molly frown at the crazy person. Great.. she thought, another thing she would have to deal with. She wonder why she was here. Most of these people was nuts and she knew she was not. Maybe this was happy house and she was here just by mistake and now they were coming to get her out. Yes.....that had to be it. Really it had to be. She was really getting tired of this place. She just wanted to leave.....

Since she had been in the cold tentacle monster attack, Jade had been worried. Worried of one single person, the one who she had met before this whole space adjucting thing. She had been searching for this person from every outpost they were allowed in. The thought of their paths been crossed or that something bad would have happened to her had occurred to her often but Jade was determited to find her. She was no quitter.
Finally, at Virgo's Infirmatory she found her. Jade's deep brown eyes watched the green-haired secretary while a soft, relieved smile was curled on her lips. It was not too late.
However, the following events lowered her brows in concerned arc. One of the patients had rose their hand and the words that were spoken were hurried, mysterious. Golden sparkles flew upwards, towards the space. Jade noticed them all but certain sight drew her attention more than those. One anxious breath, sunken shoulders, defeated look. Her friend was suffering. With hurried steps she walked forward.
"Menthe," Jade's silent voice reached at the secretary's ears at the same time as her hand reached her shoulder. Jade's eyes searched for her gaze and while she had serious expression on her face, there was certain warmth in eyes. "You're not alone."
And then Jade did something she hadn't done in years. Slowly, carefully, like asking for permission, she wrapped her arms around Menthe. She said nothing, there was no need for words.

Felicia had been standing beside Gilbert with her hand half way to the remaining half of his sandwich when someone nearby had suddenly pointed a finger heavenward, uttered a rather monotone warning, and then shot gilded sparks from their head. It made her pause in her thievery, hazel eyes narrowing as a sense of foreboding swept through her. What was coming? More monsters? A way home? Elvis? More information please.
There were really only a couple of ways one could chose to react to this information. They could either freak out and panic over yet one more strange happening, or they could carry on with what they were doing, and wait and see what happened.
Felicia chose the latter, her finger finally closing around the untouched half of Gilbert's sandwich. There was plenty of time to panic later, but right that second she was really ******** hungry.
She didn't even try to be stealthy as she brought the sandwich up to her mouth for an eager bite, but rather rolled her eyes up to watch the cop as she did it. Her actions very deliberate as if to say 'Ya, that just happened.'

At the Chronos Outpost, Troy Page of Chronos had been wandering about rather aimlessly, still getting adjusted to his new role as a Knight. He hadn't powered down very often since his awakening, only at evenings or when planning on meeting friends who he wanted to keep his alter-ego secret from. When the strange civilian rose up their hands and gave the warning, however, he knew something was up - but what? And what was he supposed to do for it?
