If fish is sushi grade it will say so directly on the packaging. Unless it says so, do NOT use it. X3
I personally stay away from eating raw fish however, and I stick to crab, shrimp, egg, or vegetables.
3nodding Everywhere i go to check to buy fish, it doesnt say on the packaging x(
it just gives me the fish name + price
gonk know of anywhere in california?>>
That's really not surprising. Sushi/Sashimi grade fish isn't really available to the general public. You couldn't just go to your local grocery store to put up some. I would guess the best place to look is a restaurant supply store. For instance one of the biggest food distributors in my area is called apperts. They get food for the restaurants, special order or something taken care of at their plant. However, apperts does have a store front available to the public. That would be your best bet. It's safest, and you don't wanna mess around with raw fish that hasn't been handled and frozen properly, you can get REALLY sick.
