Landry pursued Freakshow wherever he would go, until he realized he was face to face with the original cause to this whole situation. Athena. He stopped chasing Freak when he cowared on the apron, clutching to the bottom rope and trying to make sure he didn't wet the ring.
He knew he couldn't trust Athena not to take a shot at him if he tried to pull Freakshow back into the ring, but he wanted to put his in that situation and make that choice herself. Landry turned his gaze from her to Freakshow, trying to grab onto his legs and pull him back into the action.

Phoenixfire kept a wary gaze trained on the pair before her as Landry moved meticulously through the opening moves of the match, carefully ensnaring Freak into small package before he granted him release. This normally would not concern Phoenix but finding herself in the cross-hairs of Freakshow as he bumbled in her direction. Her first instinct was to remain firmly in place like a deer caught in the headlights but nowhere in her agenda for the night did she have plans to be mowed down by a man easily that was two or three times her size. Phoenixfire had quickly sidestepped out of Freakshow's path to find that he'd backpedaled the moment he noticed where his trajectory would have taken him but Landry didn't allow that to phase him and took no pity on the man cowering on the apron and with a firm grasp on the bottom rope near where she stood. She tightened her own grip on the rope as she found herself face to face with temptation to strike out against her tag partner. Not a soul could miss the sudden change in Phoenixfire's demeanor, her mouth setting in a hard line and the whites of her knuckles becoming ever more apparent as she fought the urge to act out against Landry. The slightest misstep could produce a disqualification, something she'd been made well aware of in preparations for this match. Tonight was not the night to allow such scorn to hold sway over her.

"Ref, break! One, two!" He yelled at the official, taking the liberty to start the mans count for him, all the while clenched on the ropes, Landry trying to ply him off. Eventually, the ref, who wasn't fond of being told how to do his job but obligated to enforce the break, starts warning Landry to give Freakshow his space.

Landry glared at the referee, not appreciating his interference in his business. Landry shrugged nonetheless.
"You want space Freak? Here, allow me to HELP!"
Landry exclaimed and tried to kick Freak straight in the ribs, letting go of his legs in hopes he'd fall through the ropes and down to the ringside area.

"Fook-!" Freakshow gasps for air as he's nailed with the kick! He goes bouncing over the bottom rope, something the nice lad on commentary is familiar with, hits the apron, and ends up on the outside of the ring with a satisfying plop. Slowly he begins to pick himself up against the nearby ringsteps, a raspy breathing coming from his throat.

Landry didn't wait to follow up, slipping between the ropes and jumping to the outside behind Freak, where he would try and grab him by the tights and his neck and heave him head first into steel steps, staring directly at Chrono the entire time.

Landry appeared to have snapped.. Freakshow starts up to his feet, but was quickly yanked up, 'assisted' by Landry. He's grabbed by the back of the neck and run towards the cold, steel ringsteps! The fans rise to there feet.. Freakshow turns off to the side as he's let go, averting a head on collision with the steps. Unfortunately, his back slammed right into the steps with a loud crash. Quite a message sent to Chrono. The fans pop upon seeing Freak dealt with in such a manner as we go to commercial break on this note..

During the break, Landry tries to grab hold of Freak's legs as he's stacked upside down against the steel steps, and repeatedly drive his foot into his dimented little face and chest.

Brantley jolted into the ring and slid out at the side that was closest to the announce table. He would attempt to run behind Landry and forearm him in the back of the neck.

"Fuuuuuuck..." Freakshow whines as he tips over from his upside down position against the ring steps. He lays on his side, a hot pain running through his back. The only good that'd come out of this was Summers had obtained the advantage. Landry, in his rage, had pursued Freak to further his attack, unfortunately, this was outside the ring, and essentially outside the refs jurisdiction.

Brantley would then pick Freakshow up and roll him into the ring for superior tag teamsmanship.

"I think I'm gunna puke," Freakshow says as he lays on the mat of the ring, eyes watering. Nausea be damned, he needed to get Brantley in the match. Only using his arms, he drags himself towards the corner to tag Summers in..

And by that point, Landry was only just getting into the ring, still holding his neck.
