Well... Designed as a sorcerer, yes. And if he were to call something, it would more likely be a devil than a demon or an angel, but charms and manipulation are more his thing... In a word, leadership... Whether naturally willing or compelled. But I like seeing what kind of vibe he gives off, which is what brought me here. I hope that this doesn't taint the answers. >..>

You are an evoker. One who practices the arcane arts, but only in the most direct (or perhaps simplistic and base) form. You do not charm, you do not summon, you do not transport, nor raise the dead. You conjure swinging blades, fire balls, lightening, and the like.
Effective, yes. It is undeniably effective, but leaves much to be desired in the way of sophistication or style, at least in my opinion. Then again, a character designed with your style would defeat a character designed by my style, any day... But only if my character happened to prevent the fight by either charming, suggesting, dominating, or manipulating you, through either arcane or mundane means... Though that does happen to be their specialty.
