What a shame. And here I always thought Pluto would end up with The Doctor.

I doubt it. If I didn't know she dies later on, I'd say she's a future regeneration of River Song.

Aw hell no. River Song's already enough of a Mary Sue as it is.

I tend to agree, actually. The timeline's already kinda wonky. I mean, she had an altered version of Ten's sonic screwdriver, even though that one was destroyed when Ten regenerated. But the only time we ever see it is in the two-parter in Series 4. It never appears again neutral

How is River Song a Mary Sue? She was created by Steven Moffet....and a Mary Sue is a character someone makes that represents what they would want to be in the series...like adding yourself in a series and giving yourself all the best powers/everyone loves you ect..

Like Bella Swan is really Stephanie Mayer.

Wha?! Really? Stephanie is Bella? ....I personally liked a few other powers over Bella's...though hers was pretty cool, it was mainly a defensive power...

...what the hell?! Now where talking about Twilight! LOL! Personally, I liked the books and I tolerate the movies.

Not all Mary Sues are self-insertions. Some are simply "author's pets," so to speak. The problem with River Song is that Moffat just kept making her a speshuler and speshuler snowflake until it was completely absurd.
