"Roch! My name is Roch. I'm from Amity," he said quickly before rattling off his phone number. "I swear, I've got a week or two before we leave for the field trip, I can get the seeds together!" Maybe. Possibly. Jackdammit, 300 seeds was a lot of silver! But--
He glanced over at the fish again. "I'll jackin' try," he promised.

"Aightaight I believe ya bo---Err, Roch." The old shop keep waved a dismissive hand, and then pointedly looked back at the customers behind the pair. "Now if you'll excuse me, I gots a job to do." He said with the softness of a fond old man, shooing them away. The Vetala was a good ghoul, so when he shoo'd she took Roch's hand again - or wrist, she wasn't paying attention, some part of his arm anyway - and tugged him aside for now.
"Roch, please let me help you?" She pleaded, staring up at him with big gray eyes. "Th...That's a lot of silver! I didn't know it'd be that much, s-so, please?"

"You getting ONE guitar is more important than me having ANOTHER fish," he said firmly. "How am I gonna teach you to play if you don't got a guitar?" he added. "Besides, I've got a lot of punkeesh. Sure this guy's gorgeous, and I'm going to see if I can't make that much before the field trip, but which do you think is more important to a guy that's half guitar?" he asked her, grinning crookedly.

"...B-but...!" Amrita stammered to Roch's argument, before giving up and puffing out her cheeks. She wanted to help, really badly even! "W-well...alright..." She submitted, though unhappily. The ghoul turned to look at the fish again, the colourful little thing in the window. "It...could be pre-payment for the lessons!" Apparently she did have one argument left in her, and she straightened up with pride, having a little AH-HAH moment over it.

"Can't pay for a lesson you won't get cuz you don't got a guitar," he said simply, reaching up and patting her on the head. "You're a good ghoul, Amrita. But you're forgetting who I am," he said arrogantly. "I can pick up three hundred seeds, no problem!"
Total and complete lie. But he didn't want her trying to buy it for him! This was his fish!

"But...FUTURE lessons! L-like, after I get one!" She let out an unhappy whine deep within her throat at the headpat, but that was because she was giving up. There was no arguing with him, he was too good! Aaaaa! "W-well, if...if you say so!" But she still wanted to help...
"So...now what?" Her big important thing was over with...she wasn't sure what to do now.

"Well... hell, since we're at the maul already, let's go look at guitars for a bit?" he offered. He felt a little guilty actually, because as soon as he got her back to school he was going to be gone every waking hour other than during classes.
He REALLY wanted that fish.

"Err...s-sure." She murmured, though she did brighten a bit. The Vetala trailed after Roch, heading to the music store. YAY THEY DID IT and went home afterwords, Guitarless and Fishless.
